i just broke the front glass screen for my ipone 4s, its still working but the whole screen is shattered, is it replacable, my iphone is still under warranty, will it be free?, it is fixable??, i bought the phone from paris, but i am heading to the states in a week, and i live in egypt, but apple doesn't have any official retailers in here, where i can fix it?
I shattered my iPhone 5s screen (ios8). Tried to back my data up to an old iPhone4 (ios6). I can't back up via the cloud because the phone I'm baking up to is running an older version of iOS than the phone with my data on it. I'm trying to back up from iTunes but can't b/c I can't enter my passcode on the shattered screen. I only have backups on the cloud. I have never backed this phone up to my computer. Because I was told iCloud back ups were good enough. But now I'm stuck in a catch 22.
I've had my cyan Lumia 800 for just over 3 months now and despite the battery life issue - which still hasn't been resolved for me as the 11500 update hasn't been rolled out to my phone - it's a great phone and I love the smooth WP7 interface, the aesthetics of the device, and the built-in Nokia apps like Drive and Mix Radio. So I was horrified when I got out of the car yesterday and my phone slipped out of my pocket, hit the pavement, and the screen shattered and went dead. Even the most careful of smartphone users will have the odd accident like this with their phone and I wouldn't have been shocked to see a scratch, but I would have expected the polycarbonate body and gorilla glass screen to allow it to withstand breaking from a fall of less than 3 feet.
Dropped the phone and it works fine, but, there is now a shattered display across the screen. No crack or broken lens. Is there a way to reset this or do I need to take to shop and have replaced?
DeI have a T280 that has a shattered screen. All my contacts are saved on the phone. I wish to copy all my contacts to my SIM. Could you guide me step by step? Because I can not see anything on the screen.
Today I had a little accident and my iPhone 4 fell out of my lap onto some concrete...needless to say the back is completely cracked and shattered. I'm really lucky that it was the back and not the front. The functionality of the phone is absolutely fine. Everything still works, even the camera. I put a case on the phone now, so you can hardly tell there's anything wrong with it since the screen is fine and the case covers the back.
I dropped my iPhone 4s from 2 feet above the floor and the whole front glass shattered. When I enter my serial # online it says Repairs and Service Coverage: Active. I am still under 1 year warranty but I am sure this wont be covered. Will it cost a flat $199 to get it replaced at the Apple store? Do they replace it right there in store or does it get sent in? Should I have someone (capable) self-repair if the phone is still in 1 year warranty?
I bought my white iphone 5s like 2 months ago! The problem is that 2 weeks ago from nowhere i got the white screen of death for 5 seconds and then it returned to usual home screen, i thought it was normal but it happened again like 1 hour ago! I did some research and found it was an ios 7 bug that Apple supposedly fixed with ios 7.1.1 update!
I have a iphone 3g and I am having big problems accessing my apps. Everytime I go to use a app e.g facebook or ebay the scrieen goes black and then goes back to the home screen. It also seems to be taking forever to got to make a phone call. What can I do as one of the main reasons for getting this phone was using the apps
I accepted the update for ios and now my phone is going from black screen to apple screen. I have tried turning it off and holding both buttons NOTHING! I also hooked it up to my computer and went onto iTunes and it does not show as a devise?
If I get a message from Jessica and I decide to delete her as a contactin my iphone how can I do that without having to go back to my contacts list that contains 6500 entries and delete her.
I got an iPhone 5s what the screen is totally black, but the touch screen and other functions are still working, has been replaced the LCD but it keep doing the same way.
my iPhone 5c screen became unresponsive it's on home screen and won't let me slide to open so I can't restart it, I tried restarting it and didn't work and just restored it and still not working,
I purchased a new 32gb iPhone 4 from my local Apple Store. After everything was all setup, I walked around the store trying to replicate the "death grip" which I was able to do, mostly anyway. A few seconds go by and a screen pops up, very similar to the incoming call screen.
It was plank at the top where the number usually would go, and below that it said "Pwr on/off". At the bottom was the usual Accept / Decline buttons. The Apple genius immediately said "Oh, hold on a sec" and pressed the "Accept" button, and the screen disappeared. When I asked him about it, he was very very coy about it and said "Oh, it was a diagnostic screen, don't worry about it. It's gone and you won't see it again." I kept asking what the screen was and he kept deflecting the question.
Anyways, much of the screen description was coming from memory, so I'm not 100% sure it was exactly, but it was damn close. I wish I had time to take a screenshot. Anyways, has anyone else seen this screen before? What is it?
Is it possible to lock the screen? So that items on Pop up screen cannot be accessed - for example do not disturb is activated accidentally Is it possible to stop this from happening?
with my old 3GS, when i used to slip it into my pocket and pull it out, the screen would usually just clean it self pretty well by rubbing up against my pocket. i can't say the same for the iP4. it always looks smudged all over the screen, even after pulling it out of my pocket. also, cleaning it with a micro fiber cloth takes more effort than it did with the 3GS. any others noticed this?
Now that the new glass is supposed to be incredibly strong and scratch resistant, will you still find yourself getting a screen protector? I don't know about me, i have never really had a scratch problem with my iPod Touch and now if the glass is as strong as they say it is, i doubt it could scratch unless you purposely do it yourself. With that being said i am still nervous leaving the screen unprotected because you can't really remedy the situation if the screen does somehow get scratched. So how about it, will you put a screen protector on your new iPhone 4?
