Dropped the phone and it works fine, but, there is now a shattered display across the screen. No crack or broken lens. Is there a way to reset this or do I need to take to shop and have replaced?

I've had my cyan Lumia 800 for just over 3 months now and despite the battery life issue - which still hasn't been resolved for me as the 11500 update hasn't been rolled out to my phone - it's a great phone and I love the smooth WP7 interface, the aesthetics of the device, and the built-in Nokia apps like Drive and Mix Radio.So I was horrified when I got out of the car yesterday and my phone slipped out of my pocket, hit the pavement, and the screen shattered and went dead. Even the most careful of smartphone users will have the odd accident like this with their phone and I wouldn't have been shocked to see a scratch, but I would have expected the polycarbonate body and gorilla glass screen to allow it to withstand breaking from a fall of less than 3 feet.

Tried to back my data up to an old iPhone4 (ios6). I can't back up via the cloud because the phone I'm baking up to is running an older version of iOS than the phone with my data on it. I'm trying to back up from iTunes but can't b/c I can't enter my passcode on the shattered screen. I only have backups on the cloud. I have never backed this phone up to my computer. Because I was told iCloud back ups were good enough. But now I'm stuck in a catch 22.

The phone seems unlocked as everything else is working like the internet, outgoing calls, messenger, emails etc. But I noticed it today that the call display isnt working. I checked with my service provider they said that i have call display and it should work but they didnt knew anything about this phone so could not help (as the phone is not from the provider). So when some one calls i can only see unknown number calling (No name or number display). I dont know if its a network problem (which i think its not because they say its on and should be working) or something needs to be changed in the handset.

The new app will only display in portrait, which limits me to using a tin keyboard (not why I went with a Storm). It also will only scroll in reverse and the touch screen is very uncooperative. No other apps are this horrible. Why can't the app display in landscape as the old one did, giving me the full keyboard and NORMAL scrolling?

I'm really lucky that it was the back and not the front. The functionality of the phone is absolutely fine. Everything still works, even the camera. I put a case on the phone now, so you can hardly tell there's anything wrong with it since the screen is fine and the case covers the back.

I'm having problem with my storm phone ever since it was dropped in water. I left it to dry for a week. Since then I replaced my battery and the phone came on with the clock and then the screen showed up. and could not do anything. Then the screen went black. Now when I try to recharge it only a green light appears and nothing else. Did I kill my battery and is the phone no longer good or it's just my screen and i can replace it.

Is there any way to change the display order of the photos once they're uploaded to my Storm 2? The display order on the computer doesn't seem to match the way that they display on the Storm 2 and to tell the truth it doesn't seem to have much to do with the file name either.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have had my Storm since it came out. I take great care of it, only update with official revs of the BB OS. I only have a few applications. I turned it on a few days ago and got a white screen that had a JVM error 102. Called VZ tech support and they told me I had a corrupt file in the OS and asked me to unistall and reinstall. I have done this 5 times and still I have a white screen that has reset on it. Even doing a cold boot, nothing changes.

I LOVE THIS PHONE. I am due for an upgrade & I can't decide if I want to go ahead & get the Storm 2 or wait to see when the Storm 3 may be released.Anyways, I've been checking out the forums here & have gotten some really good tips/advice.
