Dec 4, 2014Since the latest iOS8.1.1 update done my phone is not working properly. When ever I get a call, I am not able to hear the ring sound, phone turns to silent & vibrate mode. After this observation I have tried these many options to resolve this issue...Â
1. Did Rest all settings
2. Did Network all settings
3. Spoke with Apple support > suggested to do phone restore through itunes> but no issue problem still exist. Â

Mar 12, 2012when I plug my phone in at night or charge it, it will not ring it only vibrates if someone calls or texts me it will only vibrate. I have checked the slider button on the side its not stuck on anything like that, the sound settings are fine i have a ringtone for both calls and texts. I have called apple and they suggested to do a back up and restore which i have done that and the phone will ring with a call but not a text so i'm still having the same problem.? My husband has the same problem & we got the phones at the same time, ( we thought it was a setting and we weren't familar with them yet) I have looked online and havent managed to find a resolution to this issue yet.

Apr 24, 2012I have checked the side button and that's not the problem. I get no sounds with incomming calls or when i receive texts or emails. My phone does vibrate. There is sound when music is playing. I've check all of the settings in 'calls' and 'phone'.

After 1 month of usage, the speakers now only work when the phone rings, using speaker phone, or Siri.No sound emits when using iTunes or playing movies, Netflix, etc. I plug in my earbuds and sound works for all apps and the sound bar at the bottom of the screen is visible - when I unplug the earbuds, the sound bar disappears.

When I have my phone holstered, it only vibrates twice and does not ring (though I have it set to Always for the ringtone) for my MMS/SMS messages. When its out of holster, it will only do the default text messing sound. I am not sure how to fix this though I have rebooted it twice in attempts for the settings.

When someone calls me, my phone rings once and then there is a long delay before it rings again. My daughter has the Bold and she uses the same ringtone and doesn't have this problem.
