IPhone :: 4s Won't Ring Only Vibrates When Charging

when I plug my phone in at night or charge it, it will not ring it only vibrates if someone calls or texts me it will only vibrate. I have checked the slider button on the side its not stuck on anything like that, the sound settings are fine i have a ringtone for both calls and texts. I have called apple and they suggested to do a back up and restore which i have done that and the phone will ring with a call but not a text so i'm still having the same problem.? My husband has the same problem & we got the phones at the same time, ( we thought it was a setting and we weren't familar with them yet) I have looked online and havent managed to find a resolution to this issue yet.

It is not my mute button, the volume is turned up and the settings are correct. It is also not related to use of headphones.

Since the latest iOS8.1.1 update done my phone is not working properly. When ever I get a call, I am not able to hear the ring sound, phone turns to silent & vibrate mode. After this observation I have tried these many options to resolve this issue...Â
1. Did Rest all settings
2. Did Network all settings
3. Spoke with Apple support > suggested to do phone restore through itunes> but no issue problem still exist. Â

I have checked the side button and that's not the problem. I get no sounds with incomming calls or when i receive texts or emails. My phone does vibrate. There is sound when music is playing. I've check all of the settings in 'calls' and 'phone'.

Anyone else have issues with stock alarm after the update? My alarm only vibrates now and doesn't ring. Really don't want to download a third party app for an alarm as they tend to eat battery life.

I recently downloaded the new update for my Blackberry Tour, and I have noticed that my phone is not remembering its settings (im assuming). When I have my phone holstered, it only vibrates twice and does not ring (though I have it set to Always for the ringtone) for my MMS/SMS messages. When its out of holster, it will only do the default text messing sound. I am not sure how to fix this though I have rebooted it twice in attempts for the settings.

I am using a ringtone that came installed on the phone. I have vibrate set to off and I am in the loud profile. When someone calls me, my phone rings once and then there is a long delay before it rings again. My daughter has the Bold and she uses the same ringtone and doesn't have this problem. I have Sprint and she has AT&T if that matters. Thank you for any help you can give me.

When I record video and then replay the file, the image flickers and vibrates. When I send the file via text message to contacts, the image still flickers on their devices as well.However during facetime, the image broadcast from my phone does not flicker. My iPhone will now only vibrate when the screen on the right hand side is pushed down. The side of my iPhone has previously come slightly apart (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=881919) which I glued together. But it didn't get the vibrate going again.Anyone know how I could fix this? Or how much I could sell it for whilst not vibrating..?

I've had a 3GS iphone for about a year and a half and just last month it has started to randomly vibrate. Whenever I switch it to silent mode I will set my phone down and the bell symbol will continue to pop up as if I'm switching it on and off of silent mode. Every time the symbol pops up it vibrates. Sometimes it will do it five or six times in a row when it's just laying on a table. How I can make it stop?

My iPhone 4 (16GB) has recently been crashing alot as well as having a new issue where it completly locks up and vibrates non stop. Today I connected it to iTunes to discover that I had over 12 GB of files in the other section.I did a factory reset and upon my iCloud backup I have 4GB of other files on the reset before any apps have downloaded, what can I do and would you suggest I take it to a genius bar as it is still in warranty?
