My iPhone4 and laptop have stopped communicating/syncing in terms of emails. IE: If I delete an email on my phone, it used to automatically delete on my computer, and vice versa. Now, nothing.

Overnight I have noticed no new email notification on my AOL account. I have checked on line and on my pc and there have been quite a few. I have tried resyncing but nothing happens. I have deleted the account and this has no effect. I have powered phone off and on. My other accounts are syncing fine.

All done and application re-installed still it was not working. Then suddenly it started working and was working fine till this afternoon.Now again the sync is not working. I bought a new laptop and synced my phone to it. I carried over the old music to my laptop and now there's two copies of some songs ONLY on my iPhone. I tried manually deleting them but when I sync my phone they come back. I tried unchecking the albums to prevent them syncing and resetting it and that only removes some of the doubles. Just to clarify, they do NOT show up in iTunes as doubles, only on my phone.

I have a Imac (10.6.8) and a Iphone running ver 5.01. I also have Goofle sync installed. For some reason my iCal has stopped syncing back and forth between the to devices. Contacts seems to work fine, add a contact on either, and it almost immediately shows on the other device?
Is it best to update to the latest version on my Imac to take advantage of syncing through the cloud? If I am correct, with version 10.6.8, I can not sync through my icloud account, correct?

I have with Mail syncing. I searched this forum and looked through dozens of topics, but none seemed to quite fit my circumstances.What I do is, if I get an email on my iPhone while I'm away from home and my wireless network, I read and answer it with the iPhone. Then when I get home, I open Mail on my laptop and it "gets" the same email, marked as unread with no record of a reply. Perfectly natural.Then I plug in my iPhone and it syncs - I do specifically see the "Syncing Mail accounts" portion on iTunes - but the emails on my laptop remain unread and the reply email does not appear in the sent mail folder. That hardly seems synced to me, and I'm not sure what's causing the problem.

I downloaded the new software for my iPhone 4S, it has stopped syncing my calendar and contacts with my home Outlook. Any new contacts or events I enter into Outlook won't show up on my phone and any new contacts or events I enter in my phone won't show up with Outlook. I use the USB port to sync every few days with my computer. Nothing has been erased, i.e. all my old events and contacts are still there, but nothing new will add. I have not changed any settings on my phone or on itunes, and I even turned off the overall calendar option and selected single calendars to try, but to no avail.

Just got the Bold from my employer. When I make calendar entries on my office computer they synch immediately to my Ipad and Iphone. However, I cannot get the same calendar entry to synch with the Bold. Emails and Contacts are not a problem and synch to all "units".
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a new iPhone 6 Plus and have been able to get it successfully get to updating to iOS 8.1 but after that, I can never get it to get past the 8.1.1 or the 8.1.2 update terms and conditions. I agree with the first screen and then it has the pop-up second smaller question, I agree to that and then the first screen just stays locked in view. If I touch on the first agree highlighted text again it fades on and off but never changes. Would trying to do the update via iTunes solve this problem or is there something else I can reset on the iPhone 6 Plus itself to not have to do so?Â

So I've gotten brave (or frustrated) enough to update my 4s to 8.1.1 from the initial iOS 8 update. I can only get to the point where it asks me to agree to the terms and conditions. I agree, twice, then everything stops. I have plenty of space to download the update. I tell you, ever since this iOS 8 update, my fondness of Apple products has diminished to the same level of my fondness for PCs.
