IPhone :: Reserved IP4 Pick Up At BB / Want To Switch To Premier
Jun 16, 2010I just realized I'm eligible to switch to Premier. However, I reserved an iPhone 4 at launch day and would love to pick it up at BB, especially since I already put $50 into a BB gift card I'm unlikely to use for anything else. In order to get the iPhone 4 and Premier I see two options:
1.On the Premier site's phone selection I will select a phone which requires no contract (my previous contract with AT&T expired long ago so I'm currently month-to-month with them) so at least my account is already switched to Premier by launch day.
2.Keep my existing plan for now and (somehow) switch to Premier after I pickup the new phone on launch day.
IPhone :: Certain FAN Accounts Exempt From Tax / Premier Store Order
Jun 17, 2010I thought maybe last year i got lucky and they didn't add the tax on the 3GS, i only got charged 199, the tax never ended up being on my bill. I would have noticed because i am a lucky resident of California, and the tax would have been $68.25, since tax here is 9.75%. I ordered the iPhone 4 early Tuesday morning through the Premier Store, and no charges showed up until today, but it is for the same amount $199. BTW, this is an Individual FAN account for USPS.

Jun 7, 2010I am going to be out of town when the new iPhone comes out. So I was thinking of pre ordering but having it sent to an ATT store that is in the town I will be at. The first part of my question is, has anyone ever done that that can tell me if it's allowed or causes any problem? The reason I ask is that in reading on the ATT web site, is clearing states that you can pre order online and have it shipped to your *Local* ATT store. But I don't want it shipped to my local store. I want it shipped to an ATT store that is 200 miles from my home town. So I don't know if that will be "IFFY!"
The second part of my question is if I can indeed do that, it also says on the ATT web site that you can pick it up anytime after June 25th which is the day after release. I am OK with that. But it also says, First come first served so the fact that I would be preordering and picking up the next day what does that mean for me? Does pre ordering guarantee that they will hold it for me no matter what time I come in? It's my understanding that you don't actually pay for it until you pick it up so could my phone be sold to someone else?

Jun 15, 2010Just read in another thread that BB is reserving all 4 SKU's for the new phone...so they are reserving white. I doubt they will receive them, but I have no interest in the black phone, so it's worth a shot. Anyone else with reports from their BB trip? What kind of deposit are they asking for?

Jun 18, 2010I preorderd through AT&T Premier on the 15th, and everything seems fine with my order. It's showing up on all sites, money was authorized, got confirmation emails, so I'm assuming all is good.The only weird thing is when I check my upgrade options, it still says I'm eligible to buy the iPhone for the $199/$299 price, which is awesome, I guess! I looked it up on the apple website, and used *639#. Will my new contract start when I activate the phone, or will I be able to possibly buy a second one and sell it for a nice profit? Anyone else have this happen?

Jun 24, 2010I missed the preorder/reservation time because my bill was overdue. I tried waiting in line at the Apple store by me today but gave up because I had to go to work. I'm leaving for vacation on Saturday (and I'm sure most stores will be out of stock soon anway) and won't be returning until July 5th.
Now my question is, I know I can get my phone by July 14th if I order online now, but what would you say the likelihood is of me being able to go to the store on July 5th and be able to get one? Do you think stores will have received additional inventory by then?

May 11, 2010Now this is speaking from a DEVELOPER point of view. Would you like to see iPhone exclusivity stop? To me, yes, obviously, because this means the App Store can be in more hands, and my apps can have a MUCH larger audience. Yes I know there is a lot of market share already, but look at VZW, T-Mob etc and if we got their eyes on our apps. you should be able to fill in the rest. Apr 7, 2012I have Windows 7 installed and have seriously tried everything to fix this, deleting old back ups, cheacking my firewall, unintalling and reinstalling itunes, deleting pictures that may be corrupt. I just plugged my phone into a USB connected to my sisters MacBook and it backed up perfectly! Is this something wrong with my computer?
