Having issues with trusted places now working for smart lock? I have it set as my home as a trusted place, yet it still requires me to unlock it when I'm at home. I've deleted and re added home as a trusted place. Same thing.

Smart Lock for Trusted devices (that is, bluetooth) works fine. however, Trusted places does NOT work EVER.
i can add Trusted places such as Home, my office, etc.... but it does nothing. no matter what, it won't allow me two swipe up to access the phone- it requires my PIN 100% of the time.
Location Mode is High accuracy (GPS and networks).
I've rebooted many times. I've added, removed, and added places... no place ever works for this feature.
I have a samsung galaxy s6 running on lollipop 5.1.1. If I enable smart lock and go to configure it, i am only able to adjust the settings on:
-trusted devices
-trusted places
-trusted voice
-bodydetection (maybe a poor translation from my dutchspeaking phone)
Is it possible to use the trusted faces on this device? or does it need an application?
I have noticed the smart lock fails 100 % of the time when using a trust location.
The phone will continually ask you for a fingerprint or pattern to unlock in trusted locations.
This is a important selling point for the device that does not work.
Tried uninstalling google service updates with no luck.
Not rooted stock Nexus 5 with 5.1.
I installed a Screen Off app to save wear and tear on my power button. However, I discovered this app prevents Smart Lock from working. I set Pattern Lock with a Bluetooth device Smart Lock. When I use the Screen Off app the Lock Screen appears when I hit the power button. When I use the power button to turn off then Smart Lock works and it recognizes my Bluetooth device and skips the Pattern Lock screen.
Any way I can get a Screen Off app that allows Smart Lock to work as it should?
My fingerprint scanner is working fine, which is a good thing because Trusted Places isn't. TP doesn't seem to be tracking or updating my location so I still have to use the fingerprint scanner to unlock the phone while at stored trusted places (Home, Work). The Trusted Device works fine, but location not so much.

View 5 Replies View RelatedCurrently the phone has location services on in battery saver mode with location history off. After updating to 6.0.1 or some new version of the phone app I have been unable to search for nearby places in app. The toggles for it have been turned on and off multiple times, turned the phone on and off, played with turning location settings on in different modes with the location history on and off in each scenario. Haven't tried clearing the cache and I don't find it to be a big enough problem to warrant a factory reset.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI got a new 6P from google to fix an issue I had. Both are running 6.0.1. I copied a few directories over to my PC from my old phone. Then spun up my new one, and copied them across. I can see the files in a file browser, but for some reason smart audio player app does not see them. I can push the 'grant write permission' and it lists my default storage as: "/storage/emulated/0" which is where the directories are. I can then see my books, but they are not showing up in the app to be able to play for some reason? I am wondering if it's permissions? On my old phone I could see everything (even stuff not in my audio book directory) when trying to browse for book source/root.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a new Huawei Android smart watch and I enabled Smart Lock so that as long as the phone and watch were connected by Bluetooth the phone would remain unlocked. If they are not connected, my fingerprint would unlock the phone. But enabling Smart Lock seems to have no effect - the phone remains locked when connected to the watch. I have rebooted the phone multiple times after turning off security and Smart Lock then turning them both back on after rebooting.

1) With Ambient display enabled, the screen pops on when a notification comes through, or when I pick up the device. If Ambient display is disabled, the screen doesn't wake for either circumstance.
- The way I would like to have it, is where the screen only comes on when a notification comes through, and not when I move the phone. For me, it's a bit annoying most times. Is there a setting or another way to achieve this?
2) When Ambient display is enabled and I get the sound or vibration for a notification, it takes a few seconds (3-5) for the screen to come on.
- Is this normal? I'd prefer it to come on right after the notification sound/vibration.
I'm currently on build MDA89D, and have fingerprint/pin set for lock screen security.
I tried max lock and a few other password apps but none of the apps seems to support using imprint to lock whatsapp. Locking whatsapp? What to use?

View 10 Replies View RelatedI've been looking for an app or xposed module but no luck. I've been out the Android game for awhile with the iPhone 6 but now I'm back. On the iPhone there is a tweak to allow you to have a guest mode button on the lock screen.
I find it to be more convenient when someone picks up my phone. They can enter guest mode without the back and forth handling.

I know you can do this with smart pairing of Bluetooth devices but I was hoping to be able to do the same for when I'm playing music through my car's auxiliary jack / over the phone's speakers. I've done a fair bit of googling but haven't found a solution. I use llama app on my phone to trigger events and have tried setting a trigger using the music app to trigger the screen lock to disable but it doesn't work. I'm wondering if it's feasible to somehow trigger screen lock to be disabled when a music app is active?

Having my phone be alive when i pick it up and screen off when I don't is a real feature - what I was wondering is could we use the Imprint sensor to get around the problem where you're browsing and your screen turns off due to display time out. If it were possible to have the imprint act as a "keep the screen on, I'm using it" button it would be fantastic.

View 10 Replies View RelatedOccasionally, when using the slow motion setting the video will record, play back in slow motion, but the fps will not be up to par - as in, it'll be set to 240 fps but will most definitely look choppier and not as smooth as I know it should be. A restart of the phone usually fixes this but there's no way to tell if it's not working until I record a video and play it back. Also, all the sample slo-mo videos online look so crisp and clear, while my videos tend to look pretty noisy, even with decent light.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am trying to adb sideload custom rom but adb devices is not recognizing my nexus 6p. I have deleted my internal storage, I have no os, am I screwed? My computer recognizes that my phone is connected, adb recognizes my phone is attached when not in recovery. The only time my phone is not attached is when in twrp recovery, when in recovery my phone shows up in device manager with an exclamation point and the message that the drivers are not installed but adb is installed.

Anyway, I've enabled developer options, but can't for the life of me get System UI tuner to work, the settings symbol just wont spin at all, tried holding it for 2-3 seconds, 5 seconds and 10 seconds.
Also tried this on my HTC One M8 GPE, Nexus 9 and wont work on them either?
Got developer enabled on them all.
