View 2 Replies View RelatedHow can I get my voicemails to show up there? Does it work with Verizon? The tab only appeared after I installed Google Voice and set it up as my voicemail in the phone app settings...
It doesn't matter to me if I have to use Google Voice or Verizon's native voicemail, just seems like a cool feature.
On a related note, Google Voice regularly alerts me of Voicemails hours or even days after I get them...is that normal?
So I had owned iPhones for a long time and one thing I loved about them before I switched is the visual voicemail feature. I hate having to call into my number and listen to each voicemail individually. I heard there was talks about possibly including this feature into Android M but I can't seem to find it. Is there any applications that you can recommend that does this feature?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI tried setting up Google voice and can't figure that out. I can call *86 and retrieve my voicemail. It just never notifies me it's there.
View 16 Replies View RelatedI've tried to set a voicemail number on my phone, but it will not save.
I've tried going to Voicemail > Setup > Voicemail Number, entered the number (1416) and then clicked ok.
The phone closes the dialog without displaying an error, but the voicemail number still reads as <Not Set> and the voicemail notification still says "Voicemail number unknown", though clicking on the option again shows 1416 already filled.
Looks like one of the new features of Marshmallow is native visual voicemail. I think it's only active on T-Mobile so far and it seems to be working for me. All voicemail is downloaded to the dialer app and its synced with the carrier voicemail system. It's okay but not as good as Google voice as it does not convert the message to text. Otherwise pretty useful if anybody ever calls me and leaves a message.
View 1 Replies View RelatedCurrently have a Nexus 5 running Android Lollipop and after someone left me a voice message, I have been unable to get rid of the voicemail icon, even though I don't have any messages at the present time. I already tried leaving/deleting a new voice message, icon remains.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a Nexus 5, and have just been updated to Android Lollipop 5.0
When I got a voicemail notification, but when I tried to access my voicemail from the notification it said I hadn't setup my voicemail number. that was funny because it was setup before the Update. Then when I went into settings and tried to setup my voicemail access number - it would not save it .
I am on O2 in the UK and the voicemail access number is 901
OK, while driving today I tried to access my voicemail and managed to do something wrong. Now if I call it, all the prompts are in Spanish, and I can't figure out how to get it back to English. My Nexus 5 is stock, non-rooted. I think it tells me to enter my PIN, which I do. Not sure if I need to hit #.
View 1 Replies View RelatedThis may be nothing, but I've noticed when I activate Google Now when my screen is off and ask it to save a reminder, it is no longer prompting me after "Do you want to save this?" I don't have a chance to say yes or no. When the screen is on and/or the phone is totally unlocked, it does prompt me.

View 10 Replies View Related"OK GOOGLE" on my N6P is just not responding well at all.
1) most of the time, whether from a lock screen or unlocked screen - OK GOOGLE just doesn't recognize. I've retrained my voice several times - no improvement
2) When it is recognized - it just opens up the search screen - and I either have to type the command or hit the microphone to speak the command... but by now - its out of sync and it just doesn't work.
3) from the lockscreen - when it is recognized - the screen doesn't unlock, but the command may process (or not)
4) frequently when OK GOOGLE is recognized - the following command isn't heard or the timing is out of sync...
OK GOOGLE has become basically useless on my N6P - and it is one of the Android features I use the most. Heck - how am I supposed to prove OK GOOGLE always trumps SIRI - when it just doesn't work? Quite embarrassing actually ...
When using 'Ok Google' the device location icon comes on in the notification bar. Is this normal? I just don't see why Google needs to know my location whenever I activate Google Now.
Talking about the location icon that appears when you use maps and navigation.
I have the setting checked but its not detecting the voice command.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI have set up "OK Google" to recognize my voice from screen off.
This works great, however, when I use it, it requires me to enter my PIN/fingerprint to show the results.
Is there any way to turn this off? I have to do that every time.
And as far as security reasons, the phone won't respond to anyone else, so it's not like someone would be able to "OK Google" and unlock my phone, unless they sound exactly like me.
i was wondering what all of us are using as screen settings and why. For me srgb looks certainly more accurate but White are yelloish, they look better on Google's calibration settings but then colors are too saturated... So for now i still haven't made my choice.

View 2 Replies View RelatedEver since activating my Nexus 6P the Google app has set itself to have safe search on and will not let me turn it off. From the Google settings page on from a browser it shows that it should be off for my account. I cannot change this for some reason.
View 2 Replies View RelatedSo I have verizon and I'm using a nexus 6p. My phone died and I charged it and booted it back up.Problem was is I forgot my password. So since I'm rooted i went into twrp and tried my password there. it worked there but not on regular boot up. So i went into wipe and wiped everything. now when i go to reboot my phone it is stuck on the google logo.
View 1 Replies View RelatedJust got a new 6P from Google. I have it unlocked and TWRP installed, but no rooted just yet. Loading everything up on the phone, and I've come across an odd issue. I loaded my 1500 or so songs from my Samsung S5 to the 6P, and Google player only sees some of the songs. All the ones I bought from Amazon and some other random ones I'd ripped from our CD collection. Rocket Player sees them all, but won't play any but the ones Google Player plays. Tried some other music apps, but similar results.
I deleted all the songs, put them back in different folders, wiped the cache on Google Play and Rocket, booted the phone. I used ES File Explorer to go to individual albums and try to play the songs direct from there, but still does not work. I get "Couldn't play the track you selected".
Google search said to nuke all the music and go into Apps>Media and clear the storage, but that is not an option under Apps on this phone. Doesn't really seem like that kind of issue anyway, since it will play some of the songs.
I've followed instructions in from this thread [URL] .... and flashed the supersu from the recovery without reading not to flash. Now I'm stuck at the google splash screen. How to recover from this?
View 3 Replies View RelatedDamnit. Something went wrong and I don't know how to get out of it.
I used Nexus Root Toolkit 2.0.7. Bootloader Unlock went just fine. Root went wrong (I think). It just sits there at the white Google logo. It never goes to the animated loading portion of boot up.
So, I stopped the process. Then went to select Flash Stock + Unroot to hopefully start over. It still stays at the white Google logo. Instructions say it could take up to 20 minutes, but I waited for about 30 and nothing happened.
So I entered Recovery. Formatted/Cleared all data and started fresh with the unlocked boot loader. I was able to flash TWRP and actually flash a custom ROM. It loaded, but the phone boot looped when I tried to flash a custom Kernel.
Fine. I went to restore a backup I made before flashing the Kernel and it boot looped. Restoring the backup did nothing and I couldn't load anything.
Loaded up Nexus Root Toolkit again, tried to root and it just stays on the white Google logo. Tried Flash Stock + Unroot and it still sits at the Google logo.
WTF. I've been doing this for a long ass time now.
So I tried to use the Nexus Root Toolkit to sideload the OTA, but now when I try to boot my phone it just shows the white google screen and doesn't do anything. I can use ADB and fastboot and get into the bootloader but I can't flash the factory image because I never checked the "Allow OEM Unlock" tick since I didn't plan on unlocking the bootloader.
View 10 Replies View RelatedWhen in either of the apps and I attempt to send a message, I'm only able to select from local storage and not my Google Photos or my Google Drive for that matter. However, when I go into the Photos app and select a picture that's stored in the cloud, I'm able to send it.
View 3 Replies View Related"How To Flash The Factory Images (And Return To Stock)" and it said to extract the factory images but I always get an error from Winrar and 7zip. I downloaded many times from google page.
and leave the bootloader and radio alone, it should put me back to near stock erasing everything so its like from factory state? TWRP doesnt touch some partition even when formatting
I've looked around but couldn't find anything. I've noticed that when I change my DPI in the build.prop the Google Search bar is gone from the top of the recent app list. I've changed my DPI on every device I've owned, and this is the first time I've noticed this issue.
I've also noticed that once in a while it does appear, but I don't exactly know what's triggering it, and it will disappear the next time I go to the recents menu.
I'm most comfortable at 500 right now. I've tried 520, 480, and 420 (what the N5X is at). Everyone of them seems to have this issue. I really can't stand keeping it at 560.
So I thought I can use "OK Google" when screen is off and it's not on charger. I can get it working on lockscreen and when it's plugged in but off the charger screen off I can't get it working.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm setting up my Nexus 6P and see this option that says I can transfer stuff from my old android to my new one but when I open Google App and go to settings I cannot find anything called "search for nearby device"...where is it? View 4 Replies View RelatedEverything I tried to voice summon Google Now and tell it to launch an app, it will process my command and show a little loading icon. However, that's all it does and the app never launches. I've tried launching Pandora and calculator, both to no avail...
View 10 Replies View RelatedI followed the instructions on this archived reddit post with my nexus 6p. "How to change the trigger word for google now" (no direct link because I am too new.) I cannot seem to get it working.
I have tried systematically switching on and off options in AutoVoice, e.g., "run in foreground" and "alternative method", and substituting other apps in place of "VoiceSearchActivity" in Tasker, e.g., "DspHotwordVoiceSearchActivity", but no luck. The hardware and up-to-date Google Now app in my nexus 6p should be compatible with this method.
