Google Nexus 6 :: Not Getting Voicemail Notification?
Nov 25, 2014I tried setting up Google voice and can't figure that out. I can call *86 and retrieve my voicemail. It just never notifies me it's there.

Galaxy S6 :: Google Voice Voicemail Notification Delay?
May 27, 2015I am using a Verizon Galaxy S6 and have been using Google Voice for voicemails. Recently, I discovered that sometimes my voicemails come through several hours after the call. This does not happen all of the time, but it does happen some. It is also pretty inconvenient. I do not want to go into the app and press refresh after missing a call, just to see if I have a voicemail. I did not have this issue with my Galaxy S3 or Moto X. Also, I have the sync, notification, etc settings all good to go.

Jul 5, 2015I've tried to set a voicemail number on my phone, but it will not save.
I've tried going to Voicemail > Setup > Voicemail Number, entered the number (1416) and then clicked ok.
The phone closes the dialog without displaying an error, but the voicemail number still reads as <Not Set> and the voicemail notification still says "Voicemail number unknown", though clicking on the option again shows 1416 already filled.
Google Nexus 6 :: Visual Voicemail On Marshmallow
Nov 6, 2015Looks like one of the new features of Marshmallow is native visual voicemail. I think it's only active on T-Mobile so far and it seems to be working for me. All voicemail is downloaded to the dialer app and its synced with the carrier voicemail system. It's okay but not as good as Google voice as it does not convert the message to text. Otherwise pretty useful if anybody ever calls me and leaves a message.

When I got a voicemail notification, but when I tried to access my voicemail from the notification it said I hadn't setup my voicemail number. that was funny because it was setup before the Update. Then when I went into settings and tried to setup my voicemail access number - it would not save it .
I am on O2 in the UK and the voicemail access number is 901

Jul 7, 2014OK, while driving today I tried to access my voicemail and managed to do something wrong. Now if I call it, all the prompts are in Spanish, and I can't figure out how to get it back to English. My Nexus 5 is stock, non-rooted. I think it tells me to enter my PIN, which I do. Not sure if I need to hit #.

Nov 29, 2013I pulled my phone out a bit ago and my LED Notification LED was flashing blue at me. I checked the notification area and there was nothing there. I checked my settings in Light Flow Lite and checked the three areas it was controlling that had a bluish light set. Nothing there (I even changed the colors of those notifications - no change). I looked around the phone as much as I could figure out and could find nothing. I finally had to reboot the phone to get the light to go off.

On my iPhone, whenever there is an incoming call that I didn't answer, or a new message, there is always a very visible notification on the phone desktop, so I can deal with it immediately. This doesn't seem to be happening with my Nexus 5. Sometimes I don't discover the message, which was obviously designed for immediate reading, until days after, when I am going through my messages. I'm sure there must be a way to make the phone let me know, but I haven't figured it out yet.

Mar 20, 2015I've been having a problem these past few days, something strange is happening..
1) When i use google voice to set a reminder, for example "remind me in 2 hours to take out the laundry" it sets an alarm for that reminder instead of a notification
2) If i set the same reminder for a couple of days from now it sets it as an appointment in the calendar (it asks me which calendar app i want to use, which is new) instead of a reminder.
3) When i manually set a reminder it doesn't notify me
4) I cant seem to find where the setting is for the sound played for the reminder notification, which was somewhere in the past.

May 3, 2014Any former iPhone users or even other Samsung users know the email app? You actually get the number of new emails displayed ON the app.
Nexus doesn't have this feature? I turn on notifications and I get a little letter envelop in the top status bar but that's it.
