Dec 25, 2015When I wake the phone using my fingerprint, the phone remains frozen for about 10 seconds before I'm able to do anything.

View 2 RepliesI am seeing this issue increasing on daily basis. My phone is usually in my pocked (not in doze) or some times lying around on the desk (dozed/not dozed, but still notification should deliver late). But I have noticed that in both situations, I don't receive any notification until I actually turn on the screen.
As soon as I turn the screen on, notifications start to come in all together.. (around 4-5 notification comes together). It seems that they were pending to be delivered but were never delivered to the device until I woke it up and data connection restored.
I understand that in doze mode, notifications are delayed but are delivered, but in my situation they are not even delivered until I turn on the screen and wait a couple to 5 seconds.
- I am on Stock Android without anykind of root (systemless or regular).
- I don't have any kind of advanced battery saving mode on or app installed (greenify or clean master etc).
- I don't have battery optimization for whatsapp still no notification comes in
- I see it on both Wifi and LTE..
- Cellular notifications like sms, mms or calls are not affected with this issue, they come on time.
i had 2 reboots in the last 24 hours. One while i was on spotify and another one while i was playing. The phone freezes and then reboot. Is there a way to find out what's going wrong? Maybe read a log
View 1 Replies View RelatedIn the last 3 weeks I have had events where the phone becomes non-responsive. What I mean is that it will not unlock by finger sensor, and the lock screen will not slide up to enter pin. The phone shows at the bottom of the lock screen the 3 icons for locked, camera and something else but, can not get it to swipe. If i reboot sometimes it does and sometimes it does not solve the problem. If it does it, I have to power off the phone, wait a few seconds and power back on.
Other times the phone gets hung up on the volume level screen will trying to adjust up or down but, not movement and locks the screen and becomes non-responsive. Also, during this time, it tends for the phone to get warm. Other times if I leave the phone alone for a few minutes, it tends to settle down and fix itself?????? I never get an "android stop working" like message either.
The phone is stock unrooted from day one from BB but, now I am over 15 days and can not return or exchanged.
Does the 6p have the double tap to wake option?
View 10 Replies View RelatedI came from the HTC one m8 and love this feature as I have the phone on my desk at work very often, is there an app or any way to get this onto my 6p?
View 10 Replies View RelatedSo I just got my phone and am having an issue. When on call pulling the phone away from my face doesn't turn screen on. That might be my glass screen protector. But hitting the power button doesn't wake it either and volume during call doesn't work. I can't hang up or anything until the call disconnects.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI attempted to update my iPhone 4s to iOS 7.1.2 but it decided to freeze at about 25%. My sleep wake button is not working so I can't even reboot my iphone as per the online forum advice. Â
The thing is I'm now overseas in Rome and I have been trying to look for apple store around - they are inaccessible from my current schedule. I have got photos I have taken today in rome and also I will need my iphone for the rest of my trip. Â
I have now unplugged the phone from the main to allow the battery to drain (or is this the right thing to do?) - will the phone reboot to normal after this?
So just got my 6p yesterday but it seems as though ambient display although turned on is not working ND when I answer a phone call my screen stays black during the call and won't wake up.
So apparently it's because the tempered glass screen protector is covering the proximity sensor. I still have to actually test that theory out once I get a new protector but from doing some digging that most def it. Just a heads up I used the one by super shieldz so don't buy that one until they make a cut out for the sensor.
BBM freezes after about 5 seconds, then I cannot get into it even though the icon is still showing
View 1 Replies View RelatedOnce I take 9810 out of case, it takes 5-10 seconds to update current time and display new message if any. It also behaves similarly if it went into sleep mode and I press any button to bring it back to active mode. Sometimes hourglass is displayed and takes a while for this phone to become operational. This was not the case with 9800 or any other blackberries I had in past.Is it normal?
View 9 Replies View RelatedApparently if I transfer a large amount of files or say a single large file >4GB from my phone to the computer - the phone will freeze up.
Some times it will become responsive later but is pretty unstable since going to Chrome will usually cause it to freeze and I will have to reboot.
I have tried transferring a large amount of anime/tv shows and it will consistently freeze/lock up.
I'm on the latest build that came out today. Not sure if it's something I did, or if this is normal for when you are rooted, bootloader unlocked, etc
View 10 Replies View RelatedMy Nexus 6P will not do anything but charge when it's plugged up to my PC. I am using the systemless root and Franco kernel r7. Other than that, it's stock. What happens when I plug my phone into my PC is the battery icon changes to charging, and that's it. The PC does not recognize the phone is plugged in, and there are no unknown USB devices in device manager. I also do not get a USB notification on my phone.
More details:
- I have done the complete drive install VIA the nexus root toolkit (both initial setup before this problem, then again when the problem surfaced)
- USB debugging is enabled
- I swapped cables about 3 times, no change
- Tried different USB ports on PC and laptop and even ports directly connected to the motherboard. no change.
- Tried on my laptop (Windows 10) and it does the same thing as the PC (Windows 10).
- USB settings are set to MTP, although if I change it, it seems to get stuck on charging. I have to tap MTP about 3-5 times in order for it to say it's in MTP mode again.
- Running the command adb devices in command prompt does not show anything connected.
Other than this weird issue, I have not had any problems with my phone. I also have another USB-C cable on the way, but it seems unlikely that would be the issue.
I got my brand new 6p last week on friday and am in love with it, currently testing out the battery to see how much juice I can get out of it in a normal working day. I have however noted that when i browse using 4g on chrome the phone gets warm, not too hot to hold but get noticeably warm, the top half between the camera and the fingerprint sensor and the front screen as well. I have the phone in the 'adopted' case that i ordered with it from the Google store which might be bad for heat dissipation but still wondering if other people have had their phones get warm when being used?

View 8 Replies View RelatedHow can I get my voicemails to show up there? Does it work with Verizon? The tab only appeared after I installed Google Voice and set it up as my voicemail in the phone app settings...
It doesn't matter to me if I have to use Google Voice or Verizon's native voicemail, just seems like a cool feature.
On a related note, Google Voice regularly alerts me of Voicemails hours or even days after I get them...is that normal?
On my iPhone 4S running iOS 5.1.1, when I try to type in a string in a spotlight search using the soft keyboard, the device freezes for about 5 to 8 seconds before resuming. Usually this happens when as I am typing the search string out.
Info:
iPhone 4S, iOS 5.1.1
My search app (the one you get to by pressing the search button while on the home screen) would often freeze for 5-15 seconds after I had typed a few letters. This is fixed by disabling apps as something it searches for. Open the search app, press the menu button, select search settings, then searchable items, and uncheck the box next to Apps. Whatever causes apps to take forever to load when looking in the Apps section of the phone's settings also causes them to take an unreasonable time to load in Google's search app.
View 3 Replies View RelatedThe phone apparently does not support HDMI over USB-C and I need to find a way to mirror my screen via HDMI.
My car has an HDMI input to the head unit and it was just recently found to have a bypass in it so that the HDMI will work while driving. I do not want to watch videos while driving but I do want Google maps/waze to be shown on my head unit screen as the car's standard navi is terrible.
I have tried using Chromecast but the Chromecast does not work unless the car is connected to WiFi. Using my phone as a hotspot was a workaround up until an update to the Chromecast was said to cause it to crash. So this option is out.
What I would like to do ideally is buy an HDMI miracast dongle to mirror the screen as it uses WiFi direct. If I go into settings>WiFi>menu>advanced I see the WiFi direct menu but it looks incomplete.
I did some searching and saw that there was a way to edit the build.prop on the nexus 6 to allow for miracast.
I don't get my Nexus 6P shown as a drive on Windows 10. I've installed the Google Drivers. Also I have the adb and fastboot driver. USB Debugging is enabled. When I switch to MTP, nothing happens. When I change to PTP my Nexus gets a mark in the device list but I can't install any driver manually. Even when I navigate to the location where the google drivers are located.
