HTC Wildfire :: Can't Access Market, Email, Internet Over 3G?
May 24, 2011
I have just purchased a new unlocked HTC Wildfire handset on Ebay. The default network provider was Vodaphone, and I am now using my Orange sim card in it.I am able to make calls and texts over 3G network, but unable to browse the internet, android market, emails etc over 3G when I am out which is frustrating.I keep receiving a network not found message. The features that do not work over 3G all work fine when accessed via WiFi.I am not sure whether I am being stupid, and need to change a setting (which I have tried), or whether this could be due to the fact the phone is an unlocked Vodaphone phone and is now being used on Orange
I am using the X8 and it has 2.1 version of Android OS. I dont have any wifi network. I want to access Andriod Market through internet so that i can install some applications and games etc. How do i do this? Please help. Also i want add some apps at 4 corners of phone. How do i add?
my phone will not let me go on to the android market. even if i go on to the internet on my laptop and press install on any application it just comes up on my phone Attention a network error has occurred. Retry, or cancel and return to the previous screen.
I have just recently received my new Virgin BB Curve and cannot access the internet. It is telling me I need to tell it if my email is POP or IMAP and I have no idea. We have broadband from Virgin Media and my email accounts are with hotmail, rocketmail and yahoo.
I bought a Blackberry Curve 8520 but the dealer did not give me an Entreprise Activation password. Can someone please help with the password since I can not set up my email address and access internet.
Well here is the scoop I switched from my curve to a samsung instinct for a couple of days to try out the touch screen. It was a friends phone.I didn't like it, it was way to simple I like my apps and stuff on my blackberry. So I called sprint today to switch my phone back to my blackberry.I can get calls make calls, however I cannot access the internet or set up my e mail.I have resent my service books and received nothing. When I go back into my setup wizard and say setup e mail it says your device had a problem connecting to the server. When I got to like facebook it says no connection.I just want to get back on my interenet and e mail.
I swicht between blackberry bold and new model Torch, and can't setup internet email account.I call my provider, they said that I have to setup troghout internet (?) and send me temporary pass (?).
I had my company email account on my Curve 9330 and it would not let me validate my account. So I deleted that account and tried to recreate it. I go to Settings>Email Accounts, but when I try to click on Internet Email Account to create it nothing happens. I can open Enterprise Account fine, but not Internet email accounts. I have two other accounts setup under that, but it will not let me access those either. BTW I am running 6.0.0.431.
I understand the process to disable data services and therby stop emails. How can I stop email without disabling internet 3G Wifi access? (If at all)It is a work phone so I have no BIS access.
I just got my new Bold9700 and am trying to set it up and failing completely. Part of this may be because I am in Costa Rica. The primary problem is that it is connecting to a WiFi network, but not to a BlackBerry Internet Service. I have a data plan, I am linked to a network here (called I.C.E), and I am connected to a WiFi network, but it will not open due to the lack of Internet Service connection.
My phone is apparently locked, but I am using a USA SIM card, not a Costa Rican one. Do I need to unlock my phone in order to connect to the Internet Server here? As a result of this connection, I also cannot access email or set up BBM.
I have a Rogers Blackberry Curve 9360 which I had unlocked (by Rogers) and switched to Telus - I have purchased a Telus SIM and I have a Data plan I can send/receive calls and texts and the wifi is working but I can't get my email or access internet unless on wifi...
My HTC Wildfire will not connect to the internet through my home wi-fi with built in browser or with opera or with the Android market. It is connected to my router and the weather app connects and updates and google maps connects very slowly, but the others apps say unable to connect to server. My router is 54g with mac address filtering but the phone is allowed and shows as associated, and as I said some apps connect, but others don't. It works fine through my works public wi-fi set up.
today when i searched an application in the andoid market.it popped up a window saying "error connecting to the server retry"..then i went home page of android maket, from there i clicked all applications..then again it shows the same message..i tried many times..then i just tried the browser to ensure internet was connected..internets connected..but donno why that problem occurs with markt..i updated the software before 2 days due to battery life problem..should i update it again?
Does anyone know what the criteria is for being able to access the paid Market apps? I bought the phone in the US with a google account with my US credit card, yet I now am using it in Asia. I have no access to the paid market as well as a number of US specific free apps like banking that I need.
Is this solely based on the sim card I have inside or my location? I try with wifi and get the same result. Any way around this problem?I'm trying hard to love the N1 but it irritates me more than amazes me. I have an iPad (also bought in the US with a US credit card and used in Asia) and I have access to the full market without any questions asked. The N1 is a beautiful device but with the problems and limitations I'm having with it, I am leaning towards selling it at the moment.
i tapped android market on my x8 it says "set up a google account" so i created an account and then it says "this might be a temporary problem" but everytime i do it again it says the same thing ....... and also in my pc when i go to android market and tried to install some apps it says that "There are no Android phones associated with this account" so how can i put my phone in my google account?
I'm unable to access in built apps of android market and gmail...whenever i sign into my gmail account, the following error comes: "Can't establish a reliable data connection to the server" Is there any solution?
Just want to know if anyone else is having this problem or is just on my Xoom. I can access Market but when I try to access My Apps I regularly get a FC. What it says is (process.com.android.vending) has stopped unexpectedly.
I have tried the Vol-Up-On start and cleared the Market cache with the same result. Would uninstalling an reinstalling Market be the next step.
When I press the market icon (white bag with green robot), a white page is shown and says "loading". after 10 seconds, the page is automatically closed and I see the menu page (where app icons are shown). Android is come from factory 2.3.4. I have not updated.
Does the 5230 have the functions to access my wireless router? It would be nice to be able to access the web and such when home to download stuff at high speed over my cable internet.
i can't use my mobile internet here in the philippines, i'm a globe subscriber. they've already given me the settings but it still doesn't work. another prob is, i can't connect to the android market through wi-fi
I can capture a pic using the camera but when i try to capture a video using the camcorder ...it just beeps and then nothing happens..nothing is recorded ...am i doing something wrong.
I have a contract with T-Mobile that has 'unlimited internet access' and I have a Wildfire. I was hoping to use this to enable me to access the internet on a netbook and it seems like the Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot function would do the trick. However, when I tried this I get on to a T-Mobile page that is then asking me for more money and it seems that T-Mobile can detect that it is a different device than the phone trying to access the internet.
I keep getting an error stating; "Unable to add account. Please check your information and try again."Now, I'm not sure what my Mailbox name is.I was told to log in on my computer's browser to my work email via Outlook Web Access and put the cursor over the inbox to read the name on the bottom of the screen. This is all it reads: "https://webmail.(companyname).com/owa/#. What do I use for the mailbox name?
I recently deactivated my Blackberry Bold 9000 (v4.6.0.304 operating system) from AT&T since I ported my cell phone number to US Cellular who had better coverage in my region. I'd like to continue using my Blackberry Bold 9000 as a free wi-fi only internet access device and install the Google Voice app so my kids could text message and make phone calls via the Google Voice app and phone's wi-fi connection. While my BB Bold is able to connect to our home wi-fi network like in the past it doesn't successfully connect to the internet and gives me the following message: "Unable to connect to the internet, please try again later."
I found my xoom honeycomb market is different than my smartphone motorola milestone (froyo)for exam:on milestone market I cant found app Skype, but on Xoom I can found app Skype on xoom I cant found Yahoo messenger, on milestone I can found Yahoo messenger why or because I live in Indonesia so different market?
This just started today. I can't get into the Market app on my XOOM 3G VZW. It only pops up a dialog saying:"Authentication required. Pleas log into your Google account."with an "ok" button.I've tried everything I can think of:restarted the XOOMTried using both wi-fi and 3G connectionsused the browser to verify my Google account appears on the search headerOpened the Gmail app and done a refreshForce-stopped the Market appcleared it's dataensured I can still access the markt using my Droid 1.tried accessing both from my home screen shortcut and from the Apps pageThe version showing in the Manage Applications page is 1.0.27Oh, while I can't go into the market from it's application icon. I did notice that several applications updated in the background, and from the "Updates Available" notification, I was able to go to the "My Apps" part of the Market app.
after i changed teh carrier provider, my internet emails (yahoo,...etc.) are not accessible & setup email returns the message :internet service account deactivated..Is this something from the service provider or from blackberry; any actions to be done from my side?
