View 3 RepliesI am using Bold 9900 (it used to be used by other so the mobile has previous settings. I just replaced the SIM card of the used mobile. I found it cannot access to internet with the message "There is insufficient network coverage to process your request. try again later."
When I used previous model of BB, I could access the internet with my mobile. I tried to reboot Bold 9900 but it does not work.
I just recently purchased an unlocked Blackberry 8900 phone which I placed my current contracts sim card in. My sim's contract includes mobile internet, just wondering how I can use this on my blackberry?
I can set up the Blackberry to use my wifi connection no problem, just can't figure how to set it up to use the mobile internet included in my price plan?
Also when I try to install the Blackberry Appworld, it says my device is not supported - even when I try viewing on the Blackberry's browser and connecting to my laptop! Why is this?
i want to get the pearl 8120. i do not want to sunscribe to a data plan and would like to send and receive emails only through wifi. is this possible to do? if i get a data block on my sim will it still work with just wifi?

Currently I don't want to sign up for a Data plan. I want to use my Wifi connection in the office or at home in order to get my emails. I don't need push function but I don't want to go through the webpage and log in. I just want to press any button and receive my emails on request.
Is there any way to get my emails? My friend has a iphone and he can choose between manual email receiving with wifi or push with data plan.

View 5 Replies View Relatedi found out i didnt have the blackberry data plan, and my cost was going up for the internet, so i phoned orange up, and now i should have unlimited internet, i made sure it worked for blackberry, i get unlimited internet for an extra 5 pound. it was only 24 hours ago that i did this, but i have no signs of it comming through yet, do you know anyway to check to see if its came through, or if there's something i have to do to activate it?

I used my wifi at home to access the internet on my blackberry then one day, it stopped working. The Koodo people tell me that RIM did some kind of 'service book push' that has now blocked all wifi capabilities so now I have to purchase a data plan to get wifi. I can use my BB to access the web using free wi-fi as i have been doing with my last 4 smartphones.Big mistake. i have been charged 55 us last month, for data transfer use , i ran to my planŽs assistance office ( telcel in Mexico ), and the answer i got was. you have to get a data plan from us to be able to use wi-fi ( obviuosly i stared at her , just nodding my head ).There is no point in having a device that has acces to wi fi networks , if i cant access the wi fi network without you data plan, so i got the lady to bring the tech guy. His response was...naaahhh...it will access the wi fi. but weŽll charge u anyway. you need to disable the network from the phone and only leave the wi fi option on so you can access without any other charge, but this will leave you with no phone connection.

i am looking at buying a tilt 2 from at&t (upgrade from a pantech duo). basically i am really craving wi-fi. i want the wifi because i cant afford the unlimited data package per month (im a college kid, and those prices are just ubsurd! ). and so i was thinking about upgrading and then because you have to buy the data package with the phone canceling it like the second day i have the phone.. however i heard from my cousin (who has like a nokia e71) that he tried this and after he canceled it he says his wi-fi does not work now b/c he does not have the unlimited data plan. this is just so plainly a money grab and selfish by at&t..
is this the same case with the htc tilt 2? and if so are there any easy hacks around it? or would it better to buy an unlocked one from ebay?this is pretty much the deciding point on whether i buy one.
And I seem to only be getting 1x signal, no evdo signal so I can't access any data or internet. Anybody know what the problem might be?

However cannot browse internet at all.When Data Services is on browser works fine.
