i found out i didnt have the blackberry data plan, and my cost was going up for the internet, so i phoned orange up, and now i should have unlimited internet, i made sure it worked for blackberry, i get unlimited internet for an extra 5 pound. it was only 24 hours ago that i did this, but i have no signs of it comming through yet, do you know anyway to check to see if its came through, or if there's something i have to do to activate it?
I accidentally wipped my Blackberry Curve 8520 and since then i cannot use any of the Internet services through my data plan . I tried back up but still I receive the same message when i try using any of the Internet services .It's not even trying to connect through the operator network plus in the browser options i only have hotspot i can't find Internet browser.
I have a Rogers Blackberry Curve 9360 which I had unlocked (by Rogers) and switched to Telus - I have purchased a Telus SIM and I have a Data plan I can send/receive calls and texts and the wifi is working but I can't get my email or access internet unless on wifi...
I am on an unlocked Tour 9630, and I currently don't have a Blackberry data plan. What I do have though is AT&T, and I have a regular internet service with them. Is there any way I can perhaps start using the browser on my phone?
I have the 8520, and have no data plan with my carrier in my post payment plan, i thought , since i have wi-fi at home, office and tons of hot spots. I can use my BB to access the web using free wi-fi as i have been doing with my last 4 smartphones.Big mistake. i have been charged 55 us last month, for data transfer use , i ran to my planŽs assistance office ( telcel in Mexico ), and the answer i got was. you have to get a data plan from us to be able to use wi-fi ( obviuosly i stared at her , just nodding my head ).There is no point in having a device that has acces to wi fi networks , if i cant access the wi fi network without you data plan, so i got the lady to bring the tech guy. His response was...naaahhh...it will access the wi fi. but weŽll charge u anyway. you need to disable the network from the phone and only leave the wi fi option on so you can access without any other charge, but this will leave you with no phone connection.
Is this real? did i just spend 399us in a gadget that has wi fi capabilities but will not be able to get on any wi fi connection form home or work, without being charged for data transmission over my cell providers network?cmon this sounds as stupid as it does in my head ? i would be really disapointed if i just left my old Nokia E71 SPhone, for this beautiful BB Curve 8520 THAT DOES NOT CONNECT TO THE WI Fi.
So I did this tutotrial on how to update my blackberry tour without a PLAN LINK: How To: Upgrade BB With(out) a Data plan! - BlackBerryForums.com : Your Number One BlackBerry Community and on top of that my blackberry is DISCONNECTED at the moment because i will be Flashing my sprint bb tour to metro pcs. and i saw a comment that said the browser would be gone.
i currently puchased an unlocked blackberry 9650, and previously i had a 9700.when i put my Sim card it, i am unable to connect to the internet via Rogers wireless. whenever i go to the browser it always states that it is a Wi-Fi service. I just updated my Unlocked Verizon Storm 9530 to new OS 5.0.0328 after 2 weeks trying. after great help from BBstorm4me, I was able to complete upgrade. I installed my backup to reinstall my contacts but I now have no browser and the instructions of register now from the Advance options does not work!!! It stays blank. My phone is working with calls and text but no Internet? It was working fine prior to OS update. How do I get my Internet back and my Browser?
I see all these great post for those on At&T and Verizon, but no one is listing any info to those users that are not paying 100.00 + bucks a month! Im in California and am using Cricket paying only 45.00 per month with unlimited text, calls, and internet. I paid $75.00 for the BB 9530 and $30.00 to flash. I surely dont want to pay another 30.00 to re-flash the phone just to get the internet back that was working fine prior to OS upgrade.
I've called t-mobile support twice, and they confirmed that I have a data plan and don't know why I am getting this message when I try to access the internet. A colleague had this problem, and it was fixed by "reprovisioning" the blackberry. I had them try this but it did not work. Any idea why this is happening? I have business enterprise server, but it is not set up yet - could that be causing the problem?
I am using Bold 9900 (it used to be used by other so the mobile has previous settings. I just replaced the SIM card of the used mobile. I found it cannot access to internet with the message "There is insufficient network coverage to process your request. try again later."
When I used previous model of BB, I could access the internet with my mobile. I tried to reboot Bold 9900 but it does not work.

I recently unlocked my 8520 from t-mobile to at&t, i have the data plan with both providers. After i started using the 8520 on the at&t network i noticed that i cannot change my setting from hotspot browser to internet browser anymore which in turn i cannot use the data service with at&t that i am paying for. Any help with this issue is greatly appreciated.

I have the curve 8520 so i do not have a data plan, but i do have social networking. I have wifi at my house and i am with rogers and wanted to know if i can use the internet like tumblr exetera without paying money for it.
I'm gradually getting used to and liking my new BlackBerry! If I'm at home and got the wifi on and want to go on the internet, how do I know I'm using wifi and not my data plan? I only have 250mb data plan and don't want to be using it up when I'm on the net with the wifi on. It says the name of the router at the top of my phone, but also 3G. I can't tell if I'm connecting via the wifi router or phone connection.
I purchased my blackberry in August 2011 and signed up for a talk/text plan with Koodo. I used my wifi at home to access the internet on my blackberry then one day, it stopped working. The Koodo people tell me that RIM did some kind of 'service book push' that has now blocked all wifi capabilities so now I have to purchase a data plan to get wifi. Is this accurate or is Koodo just trying to get me to sign up for a data plan just so I can access my wifi at home?
I bought a BlackBerry Curve for $10 online through the AT&T website. I ONLY need a phone for phone calls and text messaging. When I called to activate my new SIM card they charged me for a Data Plan ($30 monthly). I learned that I could turn off the Data Usage on the phone itself so that the network does not recognize my phone as a Smartphone and incur Data usage charges. I then called AT&T back to cancel the Data Plan. This was not easy and I insisted that I was using my old Motorola Razor again; otherwise they would not reverse the Data Plan charges.
Since then, my phone has not been able to send or receive any SMS text messages. I also get no error messages whatsoever. This feature had previously worked. Now it doesn't. When I send a text message, it appears to have gone through, but my text recipient indicates otherwise. I also tried to send a text message with my mom's Nokia, but with MY SIM card in it and vise versa; and neither options worked as well.
What is going on? I have been on many forums and can't figure this out. I'm guessing that this is a carrier issue; however, because I got the Data Plan reversed and was adamant about not using a BlackBerry, I can't exactly call them to complain.
