HTC :: How To Flash A Touch Vogue To CricKet Wireless?
Jan 24, 2010I had ALOT of problems trying to flash my HTC Touch to CricKet so here is a guide to flash your phone and skip the problems I had.
1. Download GetSPC
2. Copy GetSPC.exe to the device its self or to a SD card.
3. Browse the device to find the GetSPC using File Explorer.
4. Run GetSPC
5. Enter your ESN HEX in the first box and then press "go" or something
6. In the "output" box it should be a 6 diget number.
7. Write this down you'll need it later.
8. Put the phone into "DIAG" mode by dialing ##3424# a program should launch
9. Once launched plug the phone Via USB into your computer
10. Drivers should install if not heres what I use -> Drivers
11. Download QPST
12. Once installed launch QPST Configuration
13. It should say SURF##### or something if not add ports, keep adding ports until phone is detected.
14. Once detected click on "Start Clients" then "Service Programing"
15. Once launched click on your phone.
16. Select "Read from phone" at the bottom
17. under codes change the "Service Programing code" to 000000
18. Then select "Write to phone"
19. Click on the "Roaming" or "Roam" Tab
20. Download a CricKet .PRL file from here
21. Once downloaded click on "Browse" on QPST Service Programing
22. Locate the CricKet .PRL
23. Select "Write to phone"
24. Then you'll need to call CricKet and ask them for your MSID or MID to your phone number, or if you already had a Windows Mobile phone dial ##000000#
25. Then you'll need to dial ##PST# (##778#)
26. Then Follow these steps -> Steps Credits to RyanMogul6800 for settings
27. Then you should run a CricKet ROM
MAKE SURE YOUR PHONE HAS BEEN UNLOCKED USING COKEMAN'S 2.31 UNLOCKER!!

29. You'll need to run a CricKet ROM Vetvito, makes some pretty good ROMs here is a link to them -> Link
30. Once you run the ROM updater you'll need to get a CricKet .CAB for Internet and MMS heres the .CAB
31. After that you should just need to activate it on your CricKet account
32. Go out and show off how great CricKet really is!!!

Apr 26, 2010So I have QPST 2.7 build 323. I downloaded the htc sync and it installed all tthe drivers. I've tried dialing ##3424# and it tells me in device manager that all drivers are installed Android HTC. I can't get the port though. Am I doing something wrong? I have windows 7 X64 and I couldn't find any other usb drivers for windows 7. I've tried downloading vista drivers but it wont install them. When I open QPST configuration there is no port for me to select.

The environment is:
QPST builds 323/343
Windows 2000
stock Samsung USB drivers
stock Samsung USB cable (APCBS10BBE) from Blackjack II
generic aftermarket USB cable
no Activesync
The result is:
Samsung Modem shows up on connection
Samsung Diagnostic Serial port shows up ports are selectable in QPST configuration manager, but, of course no phone is recognized
What has been tried before connecting:
remove sim
remove microsd
run testmode.exe
run dmsessioninit.exe
use debug menu to enter test mode

If it will not show up in DFU mode in ITunes, then I am unable to jailbreak it with redsnow because it can not see it. ITunes sees my phone when I am not in DFU mode but as soon as I go into DFU, it disappears and then the sound on the computer sounds like it is going to see it again but it never shows up in ITunes. I am running Itunes 10.6 and Iphone 3GS 5.1.

Jul 7, 2010I'm still new to Samsung and it's on Cricket. Anyway I've finely figured out how to get into the file system with QPST. BitPim wasn't working for me. What has anyone else done from here? Can you add brew apps to the phone? Or change any system settings? What would really be good is if I could eliminate the ascending volume ring when calls come in. My girl friend has the Samsung My Shot II and it does not have that stupid ascending ring. I know with my last phone (UTStarcom / AudioVox) you could edit some files and get rid of some default sound efx and other stuff. I have the R560

May 10, 2010I just got a replacement 8900 from AT&T cause mine wouldn't let me upgrade to the 5.0 OS so I got a new one to see if it was my phone or just 8900's from at&t in general.
I had my old phone backed up, i just restored it and am now uploading apps and such.
But it's my browser that isn't what it should be..
on my old 8900 on the browser config, i had 3 options.. media net, hot spot and internet browser. and the IB is what i kept it on. but the new 8900 only has an option for hot spot and media net, and i don't want to use either of those :s
so, does anyone know how i could fix it and get my IB back?
HTC One M7 :: Ear Touch Causing Phone To Switch To Airplane Mode

Now when I speak on my phone my ear sometimes causes the phone to switch to airplane mode so I'm guessing this may be some kind of setting to turn the screen off when i pull my phone up although it does go off sometimes.

May 7, 2012I just had my iPhone 4 unlocked by ATT, but how do I test that it is unlocked? The Apple knowledge base article [URL] says that once the iPhone has been unlocked I should get a message in iTunes saying: "Unlock Complete. Congratulations, your iPhone has been unlocked. To set up and sync this iPhone, click Continue."
I did not get that message, but neither did I get an error message. Since ATT's (possible) unlock I have updated the software to 5.1.1, and done a complete backup and restore. I bought the iPhone used from a friend several months ago, and then created a custom config / profile with Apple iPhone Configuration Utility. This allowed me to use the phone as a Pay As You Go phone on ATT's network, and has worked this way with no problems for the last six months. The phone has not been jailbroken, or unlocked with a third party unlocking tool.
In the next few weeks I will be traveling to the UK where I want to be able to use a local number, but want to make sure that this will work before I travel. How do I test ATT's unlock without a Tmobile micro sim that I dont have?

May 30, 2012I'm using the IPC to setup a payload file for active sync for a new exchange server. We use a two stage authentication process so two certs are used. The web cert is delivered by the server and so is no issue. The client cert needs to be installed on the iOS device to allow activesync connections. If I manually install the client cert (without the private key) by emailing it to the phone and manually installing I can manually set up the exchange account. But if I add the cert to the config file-it does not work. Without the private key it won't validate the email address and with the key asks for the password for the AD account but does not accept it.

In camera mode (both video and camera) sometime the screen shows soft black wave running from top to bottom (for more understanding about "black wave" just like when you focus the camera on TV screen). However I didn't focus my camera on TV screen anymore. The problem last for 1-5 minutes. May 16, 2012Problem Description I was in a middle of a workout with the MOTOACTV. It was connected wirelessly to my heart rate monitor. During the workout the UI became high latency and almost completely unresponsive. It would take 3 4 presses to the Power Key to get the device to wake up. When device did wake up, the CapTouch UI would not accept any swipe or touch gestures. I finally was able to power the device down hoping for a graceful reset. However I was concerned that I was never going to get to the point of getting to the power down screen. seen this issue on other Android devices and know that there are times when a battery pull is needed due to a deadlock or a process gone haywire.

Feb 12, 2010I just bought the new Nokia 5233 phone.Whenever the phone is locked and I set a alarm. There is no way i can stop the alaram other than to reset the alarm manually by alarms-> edit.
There will be two touch buttons that apper on the otuch screen. One to stop and other to snooze the alarm. Even If press them, it wont work. The alaram keeps ringing. I even tried clicking on the green button and the menu botton at the bottom. Still no use. I cant even unlock the phone. Only thing i can do is press the red button at the end, which will snooze the alarm. After this, I have to manually change the alarm time.
The same thing happens even with phone calls. I cannot use the touch button that apper on the touch screen. I have to use the green and red button at the bottom.These problem come into picture only if the phone is locked. Otherwise it works fine.
