Last night after i updated my Sensation XE i discovered that the update made my SD card disappear, music, apps and pictures gone. I took the SD card out and put it back in again after a reboot! this worked but only for a very short time, the SD card became lost again. PS. My SD card is 16GB and came with the device, it worked 100% up until the update! this is definitely an ICS issue.
I'm having a problem when trying to update my Nokia 5230 using the Nokia Suite. Please note; my phone is plugged in, there is an update for my phone as the last time it was updated was when it made manufactured (nov 09). The USB mode is on 'PC suite'. I have downloaded all the latest versions of the Nokia Suite.
When I click 'Update Phone Software", it takes me to the updater. When it comes to the 'Searching for a connected device', it hands for about 1-2 minutes, then says "Unable to find device".
i am a new mmember!i have a small problem with my SGS II i cant find the update settings!i am going in settings->informations but it don't have "check for update"...also i cant connect my phone with my pc via Samsung Kiess.
Basically my original HTC One got quite damaged, and so I bought a slightly used unlocked version (one where the screen and case wasn't near destroyed, as my original). However, since getting the phone I have constantly been trying to hook it up to PC via USB cable in order to, simply, transfer some music. My computer will not recognise my new phone as a htc (only "Android Phone"). It will also not allow me to find (automatically/manually) the drivers.
Now this is pretty much the same problem with both phones, so I highly doubt it is a fault with the new one I just purchased. I have tried multiple usb ports in my computer, searched the entire internet for answers, downloaded drivers and manually tried to find them to no avail, uninstalled/reinstalled the sync manager numerous times but it still will not find the phone. I cannot understand this at all. It's always been as easy as, attaching a usb cable and then even using WMP to sync music files, or even drag them in manually. But my computer will not recognise any HTC one, or allow me to find the drivers.
Recently, after cracking the screen on my HTC Sensation, I decided to have a go at replacing it myself. After changing the digitizer, the screen seemed to work ok however, the SIM card and the SD card are nolonger detected when inserted. I've tried numerous SIM cards, and none work (in other words, it's nothing to do with the SIM card nor the SIM card holder!). Everything else seems to work fine.
I disassembled/reassembled the phone again with the same result. From what I can tell, all four of the flexi connectors are correctly engaged.I performed a factory reset on the phone with the same result.I've inspected the flexi's/PCB's under a microscope and can see no component/flexi/PCB damage.I've blown the insides out with air to remove any potential debris shorts. All of the disassembly was performed on an ESD mat with ESD strap, so I don't think I've done any static damage.
I'm looking for a new SD card for my Sensation because my 8 gig card is getting full. what 32 gig card to buy? I'm looking for the fastest and cheapest card if possible.
I have tried removing and remounting SD card, both while phone is on and off. I have tried to boot the SD card through storage settings, notering works.
My sensation is not turning off its text prediction. I went to Keyboard settings > text input but there the ability to turn off prediction is disabled, I.e. I am not able to access that checkbox...what to do?I restarted my cell phone and tried but nothing happened..
lots of problems after the ICS update, my phone runs really slow now and hangs with a blank screen when switching and opening apps or even widgets installed on the phone.Currently i would comp[are ICS to Vista as a complete and utter load of
I updated my sensation to android 4.0 yesterday and since then it keeps restarting, even when the screen is off and the phone is locked. It has now basically become unusable for 90% of the time.
i was lucky enough not to have problems with the ICS update but since i got this new update my sensation has been very sluggish and slow is anybody else experiencing this & are HTC aware that this is happening.
So i got the update 5 days ago and ever since then my phone has been acting up. Everytime i open an app up and close it (or just hit the back button or home button) it brings up the HTC logo (which comes up when you restart or shut down the phone and turn it back up) and then says loading and then loads the screen and in my music playlist the cover album is the same for every song! wth. this has slowed down my phone also. New update to fix the kinks required! I've turned it off, reset it, left it shut off but no change. Just didn't try a factory reset so i'm not sure if i should do that but i know a friend who's having issues also so its the update not just my phone.
My HTC sensation was working fine on ginger bread. I could (and on multiple occasion did normally ) connected my phone to PC (windows 7) and used HTC sync to tranfer data between the two. But then came the update of ICS, and once I did that HTC Sync does not pick up the phone when I connect it. I have checked in settings oh phone in Developers options > Debugging is enabled.
This is what I get
"Finding HTC Sync on your PC. Please wait..."
and after that
"Unable to find HTC Sync on your PC. Please make sure that HTC Sync is installed and opened on your computer. You can install HTC Sync from SD card by mounting it to your PC or you can download it from HTC Help Center . Note: for Windows only. "
I did a reinstall of HTC Sync (ver 3.2.20) from the internet and installed it from SD card.... nothing works.
I've just flashed my phone and installed android 4.0 on my sensation. The phone works great except for the fact that I now have an issue with a high pitched sound coming out the 3.5mm headphone jack which is connected through my car audio system, when i try to make a phonecall. My music plays fine through the same setup so not sure what is causing the high pitched noise when i try to make a phonecall.
I tried using HTC Sync but I always receive an error that says "Fail to mount/unmount device storage card. (1020)". I can't believe a phone this expensive makes this process so difficult.
i need help with my phone. I have the HTC sensation XE beats. The screen is completely black but it starts up and charge light comes on when on charge. Is there anything i can do. My phone provider wont help me and want me to pay a fee if they say its my fault.
I have had the phone for about three weeks now. I am past the 14 day remorse period and I didn't start having problems till after this period... Sometimes the phone will just reset bact to the white HTC screen then return to the home page after a few seconds, it sometimes asks to send the error report and sometimes it doesn't. It only did this once or twice out of the blue but now I am noticing it is doing it more often now. The phone has now also started to reboot back to the white HTC screen then show the t-mobile red letters screen then start up. One time it was completely off even though it had battery power and I had to turn it back on. Just last night I was in the middle of a phone call when the phone just dropped the call then rebooted to the white HTC screen then said it recovered from a fatal error or whatever the message says and asked me to report it.
anyone here facing this problem before? after download the update and start to restart. when the phone is booting, the red triangle warning suddenly prompt out and stuck over there.
for something reason, my phone started to be DAMN slow and laggy, when i try to go menu, it takes about 10 seconds to get to menu, and all is laggy in this phone. When going to file manager, seems it doesnt find memory card, even it is inserted. Then when removing memory card, phone works normally and not slow, fast. What is wrong with my 5230, why it doesnt find my memory card and why inserting it makes so slow? I would like to get it work because it has all my music and pictures etc...
I recently lost my SD card to my blackberry 9810 and am attempting to restore the files onto a new SD card to a computer. I had automatic backups set up from the Blackberry desktop manager and Blackberry protect. I was under the assumption that these backups also backed up information on the SD card. Unfortunatley, when I tried to restore my phone using a blackberry desktop no old files where restored to my new SD card.I have read an old post that says the automatic backups do not backup SD card documents but am unsure if that is still true.Is there anyway I could restore the files using the backups?
