HTC Sensation :: Internet Pass-Through Not Working On It?
Mar 16, 2012
I have Sensation running Android 2.3.4. I am trying to use the Internet Pass-Through feature. I also have the latest version of HTC Sync and HTC USB Drivers installed on my laptop running Windows 7.When I connect the mobile to the laptop and select the Internet Pass-Through option, it says that the same is active on the mobile, but I cannot access any internet on the mobile. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall HTC Sync and all drivers a couple of times already, but still not working.
Internet Pass Through is working with one of my home PC but not my office's one! It was working last week but since I upgraded to Viper rom with Sense 5.5 it simply stopped working with my office's PC. At home I installed Windows 8.1 this week and it works flawlessly.
The weird thing is that both HTC Sync Manager and Driver pack are from the same source. I uninstalled and reinstalled both software and drivers 10 times but still no joy. Disabled Windows Firewall and Avast Antivirus but still no joy. I don't know if it's a driver thingy or a network problem somewhere between my office's PC lan and the router that is suddenly not liking my HTC...
i need help with my phone. I have the HTC sensation XE beats. The screen is completely black but it starts up and charge light comes on when on charge. Is there anything i can do. My phone provider wont help me and want me to pay a fee if they say its my fault.
Some people that haves BB told me that they could pass the BB internet to their lap-tops, and I wanna know HOW CAN I DO IT and if I have to pay to Sprint (that is my company) that use.
I've just moved over to Samsung from HTC (Desire HD). One great feature I used the "Internet Pass-Through" which is kinda the opposite of tethering, where I was able to get internet from my PC onto my phone at times when there was no wireless available so I had to plud a cable in my PC to get internet, then by connecting my phone to the PC via cable, I was able to use the PC's internet connection on my phone, which was great for down loading all my RSS feeds and so on.I've looked for this feature in my new SG S2 and could not find anything remotely like that. Is there a work around which can be done, or perhaps an app that does the same job?
I have a problem with my handphone. It's to use the Internet pass-through facilitySometimes I can fix it , but after I disconnect the usb cable and want to use the facility, internet pass-through becomes difficult to use.questions: 1. How is the right step in using the internet facility pass-through? 2. What is the relationship between the Internet pass through with a USB debugging?
My collegue has an HTC phone that has an option to connect to the internet under manage usb connections. My Windows 6.5 phone just connected without pressing buttons. How can I get this option up on my Atrix?I need to connect to the office internet connection via usb.
HTC has enabled a reverse tethering feature called Internet Passthrough that allows unrooted smartphones to use the internet connections of standard computers -- via a USB cable connection.
Can we ever expect Motorola to provide the same functionality?
how can i connect my htc sensation to internet via pc am tryen to make it hopless and till now can't mine is sensation z710e am downloaded his sync on my pc and didn't connect
How come i cannot get the internet application to just start on my homepage. verytime i press the back button it keeps returning to the page that i left it on!
I have a Sensation and have connected to my Sky broadband no problem but when i am out and about and my phone shows internet connections that are available and free it searches for ip address and shows connection but will not log onto any web page saying no connection, do not understand
Over the last couple of days, my Sensation has stopped appearing as a hard disk, when connected to either my Mac, or my PC.I don't get the pop-up message which normally appears, asking whether it should be disk mode, or charge only. And selecting the default in "settings" makes no difference either.I have re-booted the phone, but no change resulted.
i've bought an unlocked T-Mobile HTC Sensation and was running gingerbread Android Revolution HD for Sensation. my Camera app has suddenly stopped working... I've tried updating to latest ICS from Android Revolution HD 6.5.1 but still the camera is not working. when i start the app... the screen flashes and then again I'm back on the home screen. Strangely, when using application "mirror" it starts the front camera... and that is working fine... and i've tried multiple apps from market for back camera...but its not working using any of them
A few hours ago i got a notification on my phone that said a new release of android was availble . I was connected via Wi-fi to my home router and downloaded the new version of android 4.0.3, and after updating the phone and it turned on again i couldnt connect to the router. I can tell that the Wi-fi device on the phone works just fine. Because i can find my router, and my neightbours. It aks me the password ofc. Then when i try to connect, at first it says connecting, then after about 2-4secs it says disconnected. When i look at the list of routers, it only says 'not in range', but that isn't the problem. I would say its not a hardware problem, but somehow a software problem. Because it was running just fine before the update.
My sensation is a few months old and loud speaker has stopped working. I took it to Vodafone who did factory reset and software upgrade which made no difference.
I contacted HTC and they sent the phone back saying its been water damaged and sent me a picture of red indicator. Now I can confirm that phone has always been its case and never been put in water, there are no signs of water mark etc.
HTC are not listening and I don't have insurance. I have asked customer services to raise it further.
I might be barking up the wrong tree. Is it worth doing anything else, may be contacting Vodafone again.
I have just bough an HTC Sensation, signed up for HTC Sense all seems to be working except 'Device location' says device finder is off - well, it isn't off, its on, but no matter what I do the location does not register. I have seen other posts saying that this feature is generally not working. Is this still the case or does it depend where you are?
I'm playing with my Sensation for a couple of months now and I'm wondering how I can get the Premium navigation working again. It worked with a 30-day trial and now that trial has come to an end and now I need a navigation license or something, what is it?
I've just flashed my phone and installed android 4.0 on my sensation. The phone works great except for the fact that I now have an issue with a high pitched sound coming out the 3.5mm headphone jack which is connected through my car audio system, when i try to make a phonecall. My music plays fine through the same setup so not sure what is causing the high pitched noise when i try to make a phonecall.
I tried using HTC Sync but I always receive an error that says "Fail to mount/unmount device storage card. (1020)". I can't believe a phone this expensive makes this process so difficult.
I have had the phone for about three weeks now. I am past the 14 day remorse period and I didn't start having problems till after this period... Sometimes the phone will just reset bact to the white HTC screen then return to the home page after a few seconds, it sometimes asks to send the error report and sometimes it doesn't. It only did this once or twice out of the blue but now I am noticing it is doing it more often now. The phone has now also started to reboot back to the white HTC screen then show the t-mobile red letters screen then start up. One time it was completely off even though it had battery power and I had to turn it back on. Just last night I was in the middle of a phone call when the phone just dropped the call then rebooted to the white HTC screen then said it recovered from a fatal error or whatever the message says and asked me to report it.
My G-sensor(flipping the phone) dosen't work. whenever i click calibrate on any flat horizontal surface it says calibration aborted. This has not always been the case as it was working when i first got it. but now it dosent work, i have even tried factory reset. i am sending it in to be repaired but i was wondering if this was a big problem or just me?
The internet/LTE on my iphone has stopped working for everything besides phone, iMessage, Facetime (email, safari, and facebook all say they need internet access). I've reset my network, did a soft reset (home and power button). I have internet connectivity since I can do video facetime. What are my next steps to get safari working

I have a blackberry curve 8520 on orange pay as you go. The internet service as been intermittent for a couple of weeks and seems to have died. I can get it up and running for a short period if I reboot the phone. I have checked that BIS is connected. Roaming data services are on. I have cleared the cache, cookies, and history from the browser. I recently upgraded the blackberry messenger service and these problems seem to have started at about the same time. Is this a coincidence? Perhaps it is a problem with my service provider?
my internet, bbm are not working and im not receiving emails, all im able to do is text. i tried taking out the battery and then restarting it but it did not work.
basically i have paid for the blackberry services which was 5pounds aswell as being on dolphin plan so should have internet too but all it is sayin wen i got onto it is: thisis a Wi-Fi service. ensure your device has an active Wi-Fi connection and try again? also my blackberry registartion is saying: your hand held has been registered with wireless network and is not working still either
