HTC One M8 :: Why Is Phone Labeling All Incoming Calls
Jan 10, 2015
Why calls coming in to my One M8 are always displayed as "anonymous" in Caller ID (except for my own labelled Contacts, of course), while the same calls sent to my Oneplus One show up with full Caller ID?
The M8 is straight from TMO and unlocked. The unrooted OPO obviously has nothing to do with TMO bloatware apart from the SIM card inside it.
When someone calls me and I want to answer the call by swiping the green button I got nothing even I can't end the call by swiping the red button or even by pressing the lock key. I have to wait until the caller ends the call and then I call him back.
I own a LG G4 mobile phone. When someone phones me, a message pops up telling me: "Unfortunately, phone stopped". How can I get this to disappear from my screen. (I can phone anybody but they can't phone me)
I have had this phone (Curve 8330) for about 3 years. In the past 2 weeks the only way I can hear an incoming caller is to turn on the speaker function. The call comes through fine when I do that. I have tried pulling the battery several times, but this does not correct the problem. The phone works fine otherwise and I really don't want to replace it.
So as soon as I touch the screen to answer it rejects the call. 1/20 i manage to answer but that is at home testing it out. From pocket IRL , impossible to answer.
Turned in the phone for repairs, and **bleep** me the tab at the SIM was bright red. .
But that's in the upper left corner, the reject call thingie is in the bottom right corner. I will probably just get the phone back in same condition in like Xweeks since the red sticker.
The touchscreen works perfect during games and such and its not the blacks creen problem, it just rejects them calls!
I've had a brand new Xperia Z3 less than a week and I can see when I am getting an incoming call. But, if I'm texting at the time, although I can see the call notification I can't respond to it and the buttons disappear from the bottom of the screen. The slide down options from the top of the screen also disappear. The phone just freezes and I have to restart the phone every time. I don't know if it's doing this with other apps, or whether it's just the messaging app.
I bought a Sony Xperia Z3V phone on Verizon online and it works awesome but it has one issue. Lately, my friend texts me and says he's going to call me and I say ok. I wait for his call but never rings. He texts me and says he called me twice but my phone never rang at all! So I got my house phone and called myself but it didn't ring neither! I called myself 4 times and no incoming call at all! I left myself a voicemail and it did went through. Now here's the kicker, I have to make a phone call in order for the incoming calls to go through.... I tested that by calling my voicemail or house phone.
I can call out on my phone but it does not ring or display when someone calls me. I do however get a message if one is left but no notification that there is a voice mail ...
I have a blackberry curve 8330. The vibrate works well, but anytime I set the phone to normal or loud, it will not ring at all. I can hear the ringtones phone in the media section quite clearly but that's all. I have tried switching ringtones, I have checked all my settings, I have taken the battery out and put it back in, the phone is not on mute. I have even downloaded my own ringtone to the phone and that doesn't work either.
When my phone rings while incoming calls, I am niether recieve income calls nor disconnect it, the whole screen hangs off n tapping of any where on the sscreen dosen't work.
I just bought the xperia z2 and i'm facing a horrible thing here the volume of the incoming notifications and the incoming call are too low but when it comes to music via walkman its super i've tried almost everything ..
1- clearing the data of smart connect 2- clearing the data of enhancment sounds 3- raising the sound volume and checking the X-Loud
Even i changed the notification tone and the ring tone to any other thing and it also didn't work i noticed that the lower speaker only used when it comes to notifications and incoming calls ..
My Sony Xperia Z3 Compact, with the latest updates, is dying _sometimes_, whenever I receive a call or dial someone. It is not always reproducible, but I managed to reproduce it while it was attached to LogCat, so here's the exception:
09-13 18:49:01.529: E/ACDB-LOADER(316): Error: ACDB AudProc vol returned = -19 09-13 18:49:01.814: E/ContactPhotoManager(31219): No contact photo service in context: com.android.incallui.InCallApp@1a85823f 09-13 18:49:01.832: E/AudioMixer(316): AudioMixer::getTrackName out of available tracks 09-13 18:49:01.832: E/AudioFlinger(316): no more track names available
I'm currently using E72-1 , V 031.023 Alot of times, when i get an incoming calls, my phone freezes once i click the accept button, it freezes for like 20 seconds, then either accepts the call, or hangs up. Also, when i dial a number using the keypad, there is a delay, like, it takes 1-3 seconds between each number i press to display on the screen. I tried soft resetting, hard resetting, both fixes the issue for the 1st few hours, then both issues happen agai
This is pretty frustrating - anytime I get an incoming phone call when my 9700 is set to Silent, it still vibrates. I've gone through the profile settings and alerts menus, and they all have vibrate set to OFF under the Silent profile. Battery pull has no effect. Anything else I should try?
I am unable to set the number of rings on incoming phone calls. I can adjust the count for vibration, but no "count" icon is available in the ring tone section.
I love my G3 and have had no negative issues with the new Android, except for this one. When I receive a call, the bottom half of the screen is blank/black. I'm able to answer and end a call only because I know where the icons are, they still work but I just can't see them. Upon ending the call, the whole screen comes back. It's only on incoming calls that I've had this issue (although, I don't use too many apps so don't know if it's occurring elsewhere). I do not root my devices.
Just about a week ago, my phone started to act up by not showing the option to answer or ignore incoming calls. I've tried restarting the phone and messing with setting but nothing.
Yesterday I realized that my phone was not receiving incoming texts or phone calls. I power cycled my phone and several texts from the last 1 1/2 days came through. My phone also started to work again. Has this happened to anyone else? Again this phone has a problem with its most basic function.
I have my sound on "Loud (Active)" as I always do and then all of the sudden it stops making any sounds or chimes when I receive calls, emails, texts or facebook notifications. My calls and ect.are still coming thru, but just completely silent.I have to look at my screen to see I have a call coming thru and wait for the little red light at the top to see if I have any text messages and whatnot.Does anyone know why this could be happening? Now during the workday I will probably end up missing important phone calls and playing phone tag with people.Any help would be appreciated
This is happening often. When I have an incoming call the call screen appears and phone rings. I go to answer by dragging the icon to the green answer icon and nothing happens. The phone continues to ring. Trying to drag to the red ignore call icon has the same result. Eventually the caller gets sent to voicemail, but the phone remains locked in this state and needs to be rebooted before it is operational again. I thought it was related to teh phone being in a lockscreen state, but it now appears to be random. I have contacted Google and they said they have not heard of this issue before. Essentially it is unusuable as a phone.
I had an 8 month old phone that was actingup , going to speaker phone with no buttons being pushed , couldnt answer incoming calls, couldnt see who was calling . Yesterday i had it swapped out for a new refurbished unit and it is doing the same thing today . Has anyone heard of or experienced any of these problems
I have two professional accounts forwarded to one gmail account through pop3. I have that gmail account on my 8330. So, whenever someone sends an email to my professional account, it shows up on my BB, great. However, when I hit reply on my BB, the from address shows up as my gmail address, not the professional address I want it to show. Is there a way to fix this?
We've upgraded successfully our two US Moto X Pure Edition devices to Marshmallow yesterday. After upgrade completed, the numbers of calling contact are not being recognized anymore, although these contact exists and saved in android's Contact app, and backed up in Gmail accounts. Also, all incoming and outgoing calls in the call log are not recognized, although they were recognized before the upgrade.
This is very critical for us, since one of the phones is used as a business phone and it's crucial for us to know who's calling.
