HTC One M8 :: How To Get Phone Off Of Fastboot Screen
Jan 28, 2015
I downloaded cyanogenmode and unlocked bootloader to do it, but I didn´t like it much as the custom rom, so I entered to htc and downloaded the instalation tool to install the rom, but i read before that i needed to lock my bootloader again, so I did. Then it was in fastboot screen and I am stuck here. Even if I press the options like reboot, recovery or factory reset, it sends me again to fastboot screen.
Was in the process of restoring the phone to factory settings (was rooted), and something went wrong and now it won't even let me boot to recovery. The phone is only softbricked, however, because it I hold power+volume down x2 it allows me to enter the factory hard reset menu.
Unfortunately, the menu does nothing, because after choosing either option it goes straight to the "[#####] Fastboot mode started" message, each time with a different number next to it (in the brackets). I've googled for days, tried running adb from my computer but the computer doesn't see the phone, even with the latest drivers. LGFlashTool doesn't work because I can't get into recovery.
Pic (obvously) is the screen it always goes to. Low quality because of the iphone camera. I really love my G3 and don't want to have to go back to that
I am writing this as a last resort; consider it an act of desperation! For the last 4 hours or so I have been trying to flash my HTC Magic (Rogers). I had issues with the ADB finding my phone on Windows XP SP3, Windows 7 AND XP SP2. After using PDaNet it finally listed it in the cmd on the SP2 pc.Now: the next step was to turn the phone off (did that), then turn it back on in fastboot mode (no problem) and then send the recovery.img prompt. As soon as I did this? Device not found! So I go back and type in "adb devices" to see if it's still listed there and it isn't!
I don't understand?!! Why is this not working? I'm tearing my hair out over here after spending so much bloody time on this I just wish it would work.
I have installed and reinstalled the Android SDK multiple times with no luck. ADB recognizes the phone just fine but when I boot into fastboot, and plug the phone in, nothing happens. I run the command fastboot devices and nothing. And on my phone it still says to please connect to USB cable. However, it already is connected. I followed the guide over in the general section and I'm stuck on testing the fastboot connection. I have followed everything that it stated to do and download.
I'm trying to flash a TWRP, but for some reason the phone doesn't show up any more in adb when in fastboot mode (at the bottom of the phone screen it tells me to connect a USB cable). It was showing fine until yesterday. I have tried several different USB ports. The cable is definitely working (in fact plugging and unplugging it causes Windows to notice and make a sound, and also it works fine in ADB when the phone is booted up.
The only thing that I can think that happened since I had last connected to it in fastboot mode (to unlock the bootloader) is that I connected my PC to a couple other phones (Galaxy S3 and Nexus 5) using them in MTP mode. I have reinstalled Google and universal drivers several times, deleted the device from device manager, etc
i have an xperia z3 that has been working fine for five moths now on lollipop , however today i noticed that the battery indicator changed from 17 percent to 50 percent to 7 percent every couple of minutes, i looked up online and somewhere it said to let it discharge completely then recharge in all stupidity i used m phone till it suddenly blacked out, i was like
step 1: check
step 2 however wasnt working as when i plugged the charger it put up the charging battery screen with the red light, then it blacked out again and it just keeps on turning it self on and off from black screen to battery screen
id like to let it survive for a while till i can afford a new battery or something, can i do that?.i will let it charge for the night, however i need the phone in 3 days and cant afford a new battery
i found that i can get to fastboot mode and flash mode , but thats it cant reboot normally.i changed cables and chargers and even switched to magnetic charger, charged other devices using my charger to make sure, forced shut down using power+volume up and using the killswitch but its all in vain and the problem is just the same, many people who had this problem got it fixed by forcing shut down and changing chargers but i let it for hours and hours to charge
i also updated from lollipop 5.0 to 5.1 via flashtools since i got to flash mode, i erased user data and everything and it installed perfectly but still when i disconnected and pressed power button it showed the low battery icon and it still wont charge.is there anyway to chrge it from fastboot or flashmode and boot it from there cuz they work
If the fastboot command 'fastboot flashing unlock' can be used on the Xperia Z5 and what it's effects are apart from disabling dm-verity? Sony live chat even refuse to answer if it can be run or not as it "modifies the software", even though there is no information on if it can be run or not.
Since Windows 10 is rolling out today I would like to know if adb and fastboot drivers are up to date for it ? Can I install them with universal naked drivers?
I tried to update my Nexus 5 to Marshmallow using ADB/Fastboot and Googles images. I have followed a number of different (yet the same) approaches to flash the unit and NOTHING works. I tried to go back to 5.1.1 and can not restore the unit. It has not bricked (yet) and not sure what to try next. I have read options that call for reformatting parts of the operating systems but fearful this will brick the unit. I have flashed the bootloader, phone, recovery, userdata, sys, etc., and nothing works. I know others have had trouble with Nexus 5 based on what I have read however to date not be able to restore the device.
Recently, I was trying to replace old battery in my Nexus and something went wrong. The battery wasn't replaced but the phone didn't boot up. When unplugged, the phone didn't react at all (and I know that battery % was enough). When I plugged it in, the battery indicator showed up, disappeared after a second and it was happening in a constant loop (this appearing and disappearing). I tried to boot up the phone but only Google showed up and phone turned off and the battery indicator was again reappearing.
I managed to access fastboot but couldn't do anything more (when trying to enter recovery - same thing as with booting up). Flashed stock 6.0.1 and nothing changed. The phone was sent to LG but they said the warranty won't cover that and offered to replace motherboard for price around $230 which for me is a bit too high as for this quite old phone. They've sent me also this photo (URL...). Now I'm waiting for them to return the phone and maybe I'll try with another LG service.
Maybe symptoms are suggesting something and it can be easily fixed. Right now I can't do anything because the phone isn't back yet but when it's back before giving it to another service?
My N5 has a hardware fault where the phone thinks the power button is permanently pressed, so as soon as you try and boot it, it turns off again.
I am able to get to fastboot, by holding down the volume down button and power. But from there, I cannot boot to recovery or normal system boot.
I have been unable to fix this, and I really want to get some of my app data off. Is there a way of extracting a backup somehow from fastboot? I'm guessing no, as you can't access via adb through fastboot?
I am trying to flash 4.4.3 to my N5, but fashboot flash command is stuck at "sending.." and the fastboot screen is stuck at "downloading..." If I hold the power button to reboot the phone then it boots fine.
it takes about 5 - 10 minutes to perform a wipe from Recovery, where in Lollipop and before, it was a few seconds. A couple of websites have corroborated this.what's changed in 6.0 that a cache wipe takes so long? I'm on an unrooted N5 and performed a clean factory flash (and re-locked the bootloader).
Code: mkfs -t ext4 /dev/[device] to Code: rm -rf /cache/*
Or something, I mean, even formatting a heavily encrypted partition shouldn't take that long (especially one as small as /cache).
I've run into a rather odd issue with fastboot. It seems that any command entered comes back with the following:ERROR: Couldn't create a device interface iterator: (e00002bd)
There is no issue with adb, and I have tried re-installing both platform-tools and the entire SDK, but no luck. I don't run into this problem in Windows either,On further analysis, it looks like it has something to do with OSX. I've disable SIP and gatekeeper, and the issue still persists, so it looks like I'll just have to use windows for fastboot!
I am stuck in fastboot after the phone went dead. It says:
Invalid flash mode (s) (root failure) 0a.74 eMMC info:size 16g To return to normal mode - first press power key to power down Device is Locked. Status code: 0
Battery low Cannot program Transfer mode: USB connected
invalid cc otv (cc system):invalid sp data invalid cc hab(cc: system, status: 0x004e) invalid cc otv (cc: system)
So, originally the problem was the phone's screen was going black straight after the Google logo, I had a hunch that it was a fault with just the screen as it was pretty badly smashed and seemed the phone was running in the background and you could get the backlight to come on. Then all of a sudden it would stop doing it and then start again intermittently.
I flashed to 6.0 to see if might be some random ROM error, but still exact same problems. Screen came back and then went again. So I grabbed a new screen and swapped out the part. Now at least I don't have a smashed screen and faulty digitizer.
Now the problem appears to be slightly worse. The phone gets to the Google logo again now but now it completely shuts down after it, but it still gets to fastboot! (Is fastboot stored on another chip than FW? If so that worries me.)
my screen froze on my 1020. None of the "screen" buttons would work but the physical side buttons would. I rebooted a couple of times (depressing the power and volume down). It worked once but then froze up again. Taking out the sim and putting it back in seems to reboot the phone, which works, sometimes, but freezes up again as soon as the screen lock is activated.
Whenever im at the homescreen, and i tilt the phone to the left..it will start switching to another screen..when i do this in the browser/message or something the cursor will start moving which messes everything up..is there a problem with it or is this a setting?
I'm a 1st time owner of a brand new 5800, this is my first experience with a touch screen phone and I was wondering since the screen is plastic and I absolutely hate scratches on my phones anywhere but especially on my screen, is there a way to put a screen protector on the screenof the phone and have the touch screen still work, will it be less sensitive or will it work at all?
If there's anyone out there who can help, I'd be grateful. I'm having difficulty updating my nokia N97 software to the latest version; as the current one on my phone is version v20.0.019. My phone's screen keeps blacking out and to restore the front screen applications I have to keep switching it off then back on again. I've been to the nokia dealer with this issue but they sent me back home and suggested I keep trying the update. I've been trying this but the nokia software installer in my computer suggests it cannot find my mobile when connected through the usb cable (even though my pc detects the connection). I dont know what I'm doing wrong, can someone suggest something else and also what is the latest version I can get?
So just got my 6p yesterday but it seems as though ambient display although turned on is not working ND when I answer a phone call my screen stays black during the call and won't wake up.
So apparently it's because the tempered glass screen protector is covering the proximity sensor. I still have to actually test that theory out once I get a new protector but from doing some digging that most def it. Just a heads up I used the one by super shieldz so don't buy that one until they make a cut out for the sensor.
NOKIA X6. Within 2 weeks of purchase I found that there is a manufacturing defect in the phone and because of that defect my phone is getting dust every day inside the phone and on the TFT screen, being a touch screen phone dust hinders in touch screen operations. I went to Nokia care on 27.06.2010 and asked for the replacement and they told me let us check the phone we will forward your request to our Bangalore office, so kindly wait for 10 days. But yesterday I got my phone back in the very same condition even I am sure it's not even been transferred to the concern department for check and rectification because the dust on the screen was as it is.
Just bought a BB Storm 2, 9520. But i find something doesn't seem right, but not exactly sure if it's a problem or it's just the design of the phone. Please enlighten me on this. The touch screen of my phone doesn't seem "fix" like other touch screen phone. The feel of touching the BB screen is like pressing a button where it'll "depress" when u press the screen. Is this normal for this phone?
i have N79 & m thinking to buy a TV-OUT CALE for my phone. But before buying it i have few questions in my mind. So iF anyone can PlS. Answer them, i would be very thankful to them.

Ahhh, I was about to go to sleep last night and turned my phone off. This morning I turn it on to a different (and icky) lock screen.
I now have a padlock in a circle at the bottom of my screen, which I must swipe to an open padlock to get to the part where I draw my pattern to unlock.
I much preferred my olf lock screen where my little padlock as nestled in between the four icons I choose and I swiped up to unlock.
Had HTC one for couple months now and quite a few times I can not use the screen it is unresponsive and I have to hit the power button to turn screen off and on and its fine.
