HTC One M8 :: HD Video Quality Lacking When Uploaded To Facebook
Aug 14, 2014
I am having issues with my video quality when uploaded from my M8 to Facebook. When I view the video in the gallery or from anywhere else on my phone, It's beautiful HD quality. When loaded to Facebook, it gets completely pixelated and choppy for the most part.
Is anyone else having issues loading video to Facebook. Every time I upload an iPhone4 high quality video to Facebook, through their app, the video appears in Facebook very grainy and pixelated. If I upload the video from my MAC to the Facebook website, the video maintains its high level of quality. Do you happen to know if the compression in the Facebook app is causing this issue? If yes, is there a way to fix it?
Does Motorola intentionally make their new products inferior at release?I've been using a Droid and a Droid 2 for about 18 months.I shoot a lot of pictures outdoors, some macro, lots of nature and concerts.I also shoot indoors under challenging conditions (concert lighting.) They have both prtovided a passable point-and-shoot camera. The Droid 3 camera is dissapointing in that several important features have vanished:
-There is auto white balance, only a manual and difficult-to-use control. -The user can no longer set ISO -The user can no longer set EV -Focus is iffy under a variety of conditions -Photos have a bluish cast under most conditions, with and without flash
So instead of getting pretty good shots with a convenient camera, I'm getting washed-out, bluish garbage.(Issues with the video vs. Droid 2 also, in a separate post.)I want to know if Motorola intends to make the experience of this camera catch up with the spec soon, or if i should return my phone while I can still get something else from Verizon.
I just got my Elm phone today. I made a short video, downloaded the SE PC Suit and sync'd my phone to my PC using a USB. I then copied my video to my desktop and played it in Windows Classic Media Player. Now I have pretty much every codec update under the sun so was suprised to find that the video was extremely choppy. The audio worked fine but the video was extremely slow and it was as if I was watching picture slides as opposed to a video! When I tansferred the video to Vegas Pro there was no video at all, just audio. I could see the video slides in the programme but when I clicked play it was just black (with sound).
Whenever I upload pictures or videos to Facebook from my Nokia Lumia 920, they are set as private and nobody can see them unless I go onto a computer and make them public. How do I change this so that my pictures and videos are automatically set so that my friends can see the pictures and videos?
I recorded a video on my LG V10 and then used a third party app to upload the video to a site. The video uploaded labeled as a Gallery_File with no extension. It will not play on the site.
did a little search and read some threads about bad upload quality for the new ip4, but mostly what i read was that it was usually due to 3g. so i used wifi and it still seems like my video has really ****** quality. like not even 360p quality. anybody know the problem? i tried to search but didn't see a setting for upload resolution on the phone.
edit: nvm, seems like it has gotten a little better, but another video i uploaded on facebook still has ****** quality. now the question is, why is it not allowing me to select 720p on Internet?
I've been on numerous forums and I've asked the Facebook community and even tried tech support with Samsung, all to no avail.
So here's my issue: - Photos taken with the Galaxy S5 are a brilliant 5312x2988px in resolution. - Uploading pictures with the Facebook app on my S5 makes the 5312x2988px pictures 960x540px on facebook. - Uploading pictures with my previous Android device with an 8 megapixel camera were uploaded as 2048x1154px, much higher than the S5.
I can't seem to find any settings anywhere that are causing my high definition pictures to upload at a much worse quality to facebook. I don't expect to get full resolution, but I expect to at least be able to achieve the same upload resolution that my previous phone was getting.
I'm at the point where I don't even want to upload photos to facebook anymore because the quality is so bad compared to the original photo I took.
I have a HTC Droid Eris and it has a 5 mp camera.I notice it takes decent pics...if I upload them directly from my phone to flickr the quality stays intact.but if I use the facebook uploader or upload it via the facebook app the quality diminishes
Is there a way for me to upload directly to facebook without losing quality?or do i have to manually do it through usb or flickr? thanks
The recording quality seems low on my N8, even though it is set to HD. There are vague lines distorting the video. I have compared newly recorded videos with older ones and there is a clear difference. However I haven't recorded a video for a few weeks so I'm not entirely sure if it's a faulty camera or if the newly updated Belle software is causing this.
i know there is a option in the video recorder to switch recording resolutions from (480x360) and (176x144). Now, why is it that sometimes vids record in HQ (according to the playback quality, and what facebook calls it) and then sometimes it just shows standard quality. it's weird. Does anyone know what I talking about, and how do I make sure it always records at the best quality possible.
Got a Curve 8520 and since updating yesterday, the frame rate when recording video has dropped significantly meaning jerky/jumpy video. It may be worth adding that even when in video camera mode but NOT recording the feed is still jumpy.I can see the difference by watching video I recorded before the update and also by comparing to my wifes phone (exactly the same as mine) which has not had the update yet.
i have a lg vu which i need to replace which i like for video playback when files are in the memory card, not so much with Internet which usually looks bad. overall, i was happy with the vu and all the hacks that allowed it to look like a htc, or iphone or pretty much anything.it is not acting up so i need to replace it and the impressions is catching my attention. is the video quality good...compared to an iphone for example, where does it stand in video quality playback?
So, .mov kinda *****. Consoles and other players generally dont recognise it. I want to convert high def .mov footage captured on my iPhone to a high def format playable on a TV or PS3, etc. (such as .mkv or .avi). Converters I've used so far always massively degrade the quality.
I have noticed that the video playback, on the Lapdock, can be really clear, sharp and smooth. Other times it can be a little laggy, not as clear and blocky. (It changes between the two every 5 to 10 min.) Sometimes I've seen a message pop up that says something like, the video is not optimized for mobile. This is streaming thru Firefox, using HBO GO website. (I haven't had a chance to check this with netflix.) I've tried to let the buffers feel up for a few minutes as well.
i purchased lumia 920 today and am very disappointed in video output from sites such a Internet.
i played a same high quality on an iphone and android and it clearly shows as if the video streaming on the nokia is displaying as if the phone thinks there is no wifi.
All photos and videos are very poor quality, somehow blurred, like always to be out of focus.I tried in different light situations, different modes, but no improvement. Maybe I expect too much, but the N900's photo engine is complimented a lot. Here is a photo of better quality shooten with my n900:

can someone tell me if you are reffering to downloaded material or online browsing like Internet because Internet is muffled and vid quality is worse than my parents first tv which is in my room. great phone just Internet sucks for me, any solutions? on wifi too, great internet.
I have some questions about the iPhone 4 and would appreciate your input please.
1) Does anyone know the specs for the HD video recording for the iPhone 4? 1080p or?
2) What kind of cable will I need to transfer the photos and video I take with an iPhone 4 to my Macbook Pro? And is that cable included with the iPhone 4?
3) Does the iPhone 4 have a screw-in thing where I can attach a tripod?
4) I was going to buy a Kodak Z18 HD video camera to film some instructional videos because it records nice HD 1080p video, has an external mic input and costs only $150.00. Does anyone know if the iPhone 4 will be able to do video that is as good as the Kodak Z18?
5) Does anyone know if I can use a external wireless mic with an iPhone 4 and can you recommend one?
My device is playing videos on YouTube, Google, Facebook, etc in 720p and not 1080. The quality is far inferior in this regard to my four year old HTC inspire. How can I change this to meet the requirements of the phone, with or without replacement.
When I'm at camera and I turn on slow motion when I start recording the quality looks abit off, not blurry though. I'm wondering if that's normal? when I'm taking pictures, etc it looks very good but when I'm at Slow motion quality is a bit off.
So i recently found out how to change the video quality on youtube... but is there anyway to make a default setting for it? Rather than having to change the setting on every video...
I have recentley noticed a problem in Video quality when the video is sent as a text message. I wanted to send my friend a video of something neat I saw on my trip, and After it sent, I played back the video inside the text message and the quality was that of the iphone 2g. I'm not sure if this is normal or just my phone
So I know with 1020, if I simply share photos on to facebook, it will use the less quality 5MP photos, so I have to download the photos manually on my laptop via usb cord with the phone or from onedrive.. But would I have to download the videos from my phone or onedrive first before uploading on to facebook too, for the highest quality *with the smallest size possible? My videos are easily half a GB!
excuse me for my bad english.i recently update my 5530 phone firmware to v20 but now when i goto camera and switch to video mode , video is 2X zoomed by default but zoom bar is in 1x and i cannot reduse zoom.therefore video quality is low but in image mode it's OK
poor quality of the pictures and video that come off the Bionic? This came up in a review at PhoneScoop.com as well. I have comparred the photos and videos taken off of the Bionic to my wife's HTC Rezound and the Rezound pictures are far superior? The Bionic produces pictures with very little contrast and performs badly in low light conditions. The Bionic also produces a white haze around the borders of pictures in some photos. See photo below. I am wondering if this is a defective camera or a problem on all bionics?
I didn't know how to contact RIM for support in this issue but I believe that MANY ON THIS PLANET need RIM to invent some Broadcast Blocker. (i.e. blocking some annoying people on my bbm list who just can't stop spamming)
I don't believe deleting them is an ideal issue. I still want to contact them and have them contact me. Talking to them didn't work either.PLEASE RIM DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!! Its just a BUTTON that you will add to make your clients satisfied and not irritated
