Got a Curve 8520 and since updating yesterday, the frame rate when recording video has dropped significantly meaning jerky/jumpy video. It may be worth adding that even when in video camera mode but NOT recording the feed is still jumpy.I can see the difference by watching video I recorded before the update and also by comparing to my wifes phone (exactly the same as mine) which has not had the update yet.

View 1 Replies View Relateddid a little search and read some threads about bad upload quality for the new ip4, but mostly what i read was that it was usually due to 3g. so i used wifi and it still seems like my video has really ****** quality. like not even 360p quality. anybody know the problem? i tried to search but didn't see a setting for upload resolution on the phone.
edit: nvm, seems like it has gotten a little better, but another video i uploaded on facebook still has ****** quality. now the question is, why is it not allowing me to select 720p on Internet?
I installed a hybrid OS and everything is working fine! But today I saw something funny on the street that I wanted to record. But when I pulled out my phone I couldn't find my video recorder. sucks! So I've looked in all the folders and its no where to be found. I don't normally record videos but I'm baffled. Does anyone know how I can re install it without having to downgrade my OS? The OS I have is 5.0.0.692 on my Curve 8530.

I have compared newly recorded videos with older ones and there is a clear difference. However I haven't recorded a video for a few weeks so I'm not entirely sure if it's a faulty camera or if the newly updated Belle software is causing this.

I have noticed that the video playback, on the Lapdock, can be really clear, sharp and smooth. Other times it can be a little laggy, not as clear and blocky. (It changes between the two every 5 to 10 min.) Sometimes I've seen a message pop up that says something like, the video is not optimized for mobile. This is streaming thru Firefox, using HBO GO website. (I haven't had a chance to check this with netflix.) I've tried to let the buffers feel up for a few minutes as well.

I have comparred the photos and videos taken off of the Bionic to my wife's HTC Rezound and the Rezound pictures are far superior? The Bionic produces pictures with very little contrast and performs badly in low light conditions. The Bionic also produces a white haze around the borders of pictures in some photos. See photo below. I am wondering if this is a defective camera or a problem on all bionics?
View 14 Replies View RelatedI've upgraded from my original OS to 5.0.0.411 (i think) at the start of the year with no problems. Two days ago I attempted the upgrade to .681 which was fine, but I'm not keen on the update as the UMA isn't working properly, so I want to downgrade.
So last night I managed to get back to the original OS 4.? (I was having probs with a straight forward downgrade to another OS5) and tried to upgrade to the Vodafone Italy (I'm on Orange UK) but it wasn't being recognised with the Desktop Blackberry software (vendor file was deleted), although when I went into the upgrade part on the app loader, it did appear there, but with an asterisk saying I had to be registered with Blackberry to be eligible for the upgrade (or something like that). I attempted the upgrade but the software wouldn't allow it.
I removed that software and tried with the Wind release, but again the desk top software didn't recognise it.I tried the .681 release again and the upgrade worked fine
I would really like to go back to a stable OS where the UMA works. Any ideas how to do it with the Vodafone Italy release? Or am I being blocked somehow as I'm registered to Orange UK? If so does anyone have a link to download another earlier release that is stable and not carrier associated?

This could also be because of problems with our servers. Is it that NSU does not support N900 and if so why would Nokia sell a phone and not provide software to update the phone with.
