i know there is a option in the video recorder to switch recording resolutions from (480x360) and (176x144). Now, why is it that sometimes vids record in HQ (according to the playback quality, and what facebook calls it) and then sometimes it just shows standard quality. it's weird. Does anyone know what I talking about, and how do I make sure it always records at the best quality possible.

I have compared newly recorded videos with older ones and there is a clear difference. However I haven't recorded a video for a few weeks so I'm not entirely sure if it's a faulty camera or if the newly updated Belle software is causing this.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a problem with my 9700 and I donīt really know if it is the phone or the battery.It shuts down when I use an aplication that needs power, like recording videos, websurfing, downloading/installing apps thats sort of stuff. It goes off, and I have to pull batt to get it started again.If I do it 3 times in a row for example, the battery goes down from 100% to 70% in just the time it needs to restart those 3 times.I tried to do a security wipe, reinstall the os (.862), taking out the micro sd and it keeps shuting down. I donīt know if it could be a battery problem or the phone. any idea?

View 3 Replies View RelatedAfter reading several threads concerning the build quality of the handsets made on Canada and Mexico, When I received my replacement handset and found that it was made in Canada (on 16 Jan 2010) I set about to finding faults in it. (I have always had a phone made in Hungry) I pressed the damn thing all over, shook it, tested the buttons and eventually FOUND that the track pad was raised at the top. Looking at it further, I discovered that what I thought was the raised bit was the ridge where the hosing meets the screen and the track pad is completely sound and flush.
Although I started (because I was convinced that Canadian and Mexican handset have inherent faults) (and my apologies to All the Canadian and Mexican people), I discovered that this handset is better than the one I had before (which was made in Hungry).Apart from everything being solid, the keypad is slightly different (in my opinion) then my old handset. The raised bits (or ridges) on each key are more prominent so when I move my finger or thumb, Iknow I am on a different key thus avoiding the typing mistakes.
I just wanted to share this because I am sure we all get influenced by what we read and although I am sure that there are some poorly build handsets out there, our starting point should be that the phone is fine, and then deal with anything else that transpires.
When I bought my E63 I noticed that while on my previous phone the sound got all distorted when I tried to record a loud live performance, it sounded pretty good on the E63, even if the concert got loud. Since that discovery I usually record one of two songs of a show I visit as a souvenir. It's become quite a big thing for me.Now the E63 has a pretty mediocre camera, so I'm thinking about upgrading to a model with a better one. Of course it is essential that this new phone can record loud sound (110 dB and over) as good or even better than my current E63. I know that this is not a given from people with iPhones or phones from HTC: all they get is when they try to record loud sound is distortion.are newer Nokia models still as good at recording loud (rock and metal show) sound and is there some technical spec that I can check to make sure this is the case?

View 2 Replies View RelatedJust got my 9700 a few weeks ago. The screen is fantastic, the pictures & photos that I transferred to my SD card are shown on the screen with razor sharpness. At least for a while. Then I noticed that when I viewed the photos again from Media -> Pictures, the photos becomes less sharp and appear heavily compressed. This is for both the thumbnail view and the fullscreen sroll view. Does anyone noticed this?
But when I click on Fit to Screen or View Actual Size, the photos become razor sharp again. How do I get the photos to appear razor sharp in the fullscreen scroll view (where I can scroll left and right for next/previous photo)?
If there are no solution to the above, is there any 3rd party app that will allow us to view the photos in fullscreen (and can be scrolled left or right) in full razor sharpness?
I have a Galaxy S6 edge on T-Mobile and juts noticed this morning that whenever I attempt to record a video I get a warning stating "The video codec is currently being used by other applications..."
Is it possible to determine which application has it in use? I've closed all running applications which didn't resolve the problem. Restarted the phone without starting any other applications before the camera and that failed. I'm not seeing any information about this issue in the couple of searches I've done so far but wonder if it's an isolated issue or something common.
Short of a Factory Reset, which I'm not fully opposed to doing, is there a potential solution?
If I receive a call during recording a video, the video gets lost. Can I change settings or is there any solution to save the video before accepting the call? Or is it simply a flaw in the software that the video is not saved automatically?

Is anyone else having issues loading video to Facebook. Every time I upload an iPhone4 high quality video to Facebook, through their app, the video appears in Facebook very grainy and pixelated. If I upload the video from my MAC to the Facebook website, the video maintains its high level of quality. Do you happen to know if the compression in the Facebook app is causing this issue? It may be worth adding that even when in video camera mode but NOT recording the feed is still jumpy.I can see the difference by watching video I recorded before the update and also by comparing to my wifes phone (exactly the same as mine) which has not had the update yet.

So, .mov kinda *****. Consoles and other players generally dont recognise it. I want to convert high def .mov footage captured on my iPhone to a high def format playable on a TV or PS3, etc. (such as .mkv or .avi). Converters I've used so far always massively degrade the quality.

I have noticed that the video playback, on the Lapdock, can be really clear, sharp and smooth. Other times it can be a little laggy, not as clear and blocky. (It changes between the two every 5 to 10 min.) Sometimes I've seen a message pop up that says something like, the video is not optimized for mobile. This is streaming thru Firefox, using HBO GO website. (I haven't had a chance to check this with netflix.) I've tried to let the buffers feel up for a few minutes as well.
