May 10, 2014Basically my original HTC One got quite damaged, and so I bought a slightly used unlocked version (one where the screen and case wasn't near destroyed, as my original). However, since getting the phone I have constantly been trying to hook it up to PC via USB cable in order to, simply, transfer some music. My computer will not recognise my new phone as a htc (only "Android Phone"). It will also not allow me to find (automatically/manually) the drivers.
Now this is pretty much the same problem with both phones, so I highly doubt it is a fault with the new one I just purchased. I have tried multiple usb ports in my computer, searched the entire internet for answers, downloaded drivers and manually tried to find them to no avail, uninstalled/reinstalled the sync manager numerous times but it still will not find the phone. I cannot understand this at all. It's always been as easy as, attaching a usb cable and then even using WMP to sync music files, or even drag them in manually. But my computer will not recognise any HTC one, or allow me to find the drivers.

Nov 29, 2015I had a GS5 and I was able to sync facebook contacts to my device contact list with ease. However, I can't do the same with my GS6 Edge. Going to accounts-> facebook, only shows my account with a gray "refresh" bar saying " sync turned off" and it gives me no option to turn it on. Master Sync is turned on, and Sync from the main pulldown bar is turned on as well. I'm getting ready to chuck this phone at the wall cuz Im so frustrated. This was not an Issue with my GS5.

Sep 11, 2011Ever since I have upgraded my Nokia N8's firmware to the new Anna firmware, I have been unable to sync my phone's content using the "Ovi Sync" application. I'm always getting this message "Service activation failed. Try again later". Has anyone else been having this problem? Is there anything that can be done to fix this?

Sep 12, 2010If I fill out the address and birthday fields on the web site contacts page. Sync to my phone fails. If I fill out the address field on my phone, then it doesn't complete the relevent fields on the web site. The address fields on the web site are different to the phone and fields on the site are not supported by the phone's address book.
It seems like the two are running different software and are slightly incompatible
BB Bold 9700 :: Contact Pictures Don't Sync With Phone - Phone Contacts Remain Blank
Apr 4, 2010I've just gotten a Bold 9700 and noticed that even though I have the option to sync the profile pictures of my friends with my contacts profiles on the phone, the pictures for my phone contacts remain blank. The Facebook profiles are linked to my contacts and sometimes will show the Facebook profile picture but after a while the picture reverts to a blank icon again. I've also unselected the option to sync and re-enabled the option to update Blackberry contacts with my Facebook contacts to try and force the pictures to update but no success.
I was thinking that it might also be because of a conflict wiyth other apps trying to update the contact pictures seeing as I originally imported all my contatcs from my Gmail account but I am unable to figure out which other apps, if any, are updating contact pics and thereby turn them off.
Blackberry contacts linked to a LinkedIn profile show their LinkedIn profile pics correctly though and other than that I only have BB Messenger, GTalk, Windows Live Messenger and Facebook that are linked to my Blackberry contacts.Any ideas on how I can get my contacts' pictures to sync correctly with Facebook?

May 24, 2012I have synced the music from my PC's itunes library to my iphone. When I try to do the same with the apps I get a warning that the statistics in the apps/games on my phone will be lost. Can I sync my apps without losing my statistics/levels off of the phone?

Mar 17, 2010I'm unable to sync anything using Nokia Ovi Suite. Whet I startup the program the first message I get is "Operation failed - Unable to read tracks" (the audio tracks from the phone). The software can read and edit contacts in the phone as well as work with messages, but it won't sync either. The error code I get is 83940004. Both Ovi software and phone's firmware a up to date and everything works fine with PC Suite.Does anyone have an idea what might be causing this?

I don't know if any of those changes caused the problem.The first time I attempted to sync the calendar following the above changes I received an Intellisync message "Connection to Yahoo server lost". I seem to recall that this occurred once before on another Blackberry model that I owned but can't recall how I resolved it.

I normally sync my calendar with Outlook on my desktop. I went to sync with Outlook today and none of my calendar entries are syncing. If on look on my device all of the entries are marked as being xxx@gmail.com entries. How can I change all of these entries back to sync with Outlook instead?

My Torch is not reconciling my Gmail automatically; in fact, when I go to the BB menu in e-mail to manually reconcile by selecting that command, it still doesn't work.The above wouldn't bother me quite so badly if I didn't have to delete them (again) one at a time. Jun 22, 2011My Boss has 2 Blackberry phones , one is Blackberry torchand another one is Blackberry Bold 9000.Blackberry Torch is synced to company Blackberry server. The Blackberry Bold is not synced with the Blackberry server but has about 1000 contacts (200 in 1st contact folder and 800 and in the 2nd).when I check the contacts options I see 2 contact folders both named "Desktop". My Boss wants me to merge all these 1000 contacts with the contacts on his Blackberry Torch. When I back up the contacts from Bold to outlook only 200 contacts gets restored and the remaining 800 dont.
I am using following method to merge I intend to use following steps to merge the contacts from 2 phones
I backed up both the devicesI exported all the contacts from outlook to csv fileDeleted all the contacts from outlookSynced the contacts from Blackberry Bold to outlook but in this case only 200 contacts get synced and not the remaining 800.Export the outlook to csv againMerge the 2 csvs and import to outlook
BlackBerry :: Unable To Sync In The Right Calendar?
Apr 7, 2011I'm having issued with synchronizing my outlook with my bb. I have multiple calendars.
In my bb, I made sure to default my calendar to the one I want. However, when I sync, the default calendar doesn't pick it up, it goes to another one. It used to work but now it doesn't anymore and I can't figure out why. I have double checked my default calendar and it's to the one I want.
Also, I'm unable to change to make changes to the sync through the network. Doesn't work at all, I can't click on it to change it. Again, this used to work over the network but not anymore.
