Motorola Electrify :: Internal Storage (Not) Mounting As USB Mass Storage
Dec 13, 2011I've run into a bit of a problem, as have MANY Photon 4G owners have as well.since mounting my Electrify as a USB mass storage device (the two "MOT" drives pop up in explorer), now the internal storage (which is where everything is) comes up as an unreadable drive.It mounted fine when I got it, then stopped working, then worked for a day, now it doesn't work.I've tried uninstalling drivers, taking out the battery, SD card, etc etc.

Dec 2, 2011I have an unrooted S2 running Android v2.3.4, which I connect to my PC using USB debugging off.I do this because I have the Widgetsoid app installed, and use it for one-click USB mass storage access on my PC when the phone is connected.when I connect via USB however (through Widgetsoid or the "clean" way though the Wireless Settings), my home screen seems to refresh, and the Social Hub icon I have at the bottom of the screen (along with Applications, Call and Contacts) vanishes. This happens every time I mount the mass storage, meaning I have to go into the application menu to drag it back into the tray and save it again, but the same repeats each time.

I want to STOP THIS FROM HAPPENING! but I can't figure out how. I have Googled to the best of my ability and all I can find is people who WANT their phone to mount automatically when they plug it in.

Nov 19, 2011I am having an Xperia X10 mini. I had updated it to the latest 2.1 update a month back. All my contacts, settings etc were backed up in my 2GB SD card (which came along with the phone) using the back up and restore software within the phone. Recently my phone's earspeaker was not functioning and i took it to the service centre for repair( it was within the warranty period) where they removed the SD card without unmounting and gave it to me. After the repair when i inserted my Sd card it wont work. My phone says "SD card removed. Insert a new one." It would recognise any other card except mine. it is not working on my computer either (computer doesn't recognise it at all). I have all my Contacts and other files in it.

When I hook up the phone through USB to organize or add/delete files using a computer, the next morning my alarm clock has defaulted to an on-phone ringtone. I was used to my sounds being different while I have the SD card actively unmounted, but the settings were always maintained when I returned.

Mar 16, 2015[Lollipop] Under settings/Apps there is a list of apps together with the number of megabytes it ostensibly uses. I can click on that and see those megabytes divided into App and Date use.
But... Today I uninstalled "Real racing 3", which claimed to use up 84MB (app+data). Immediately after that, the amount of free storage climbed with a whooping 1.14GB ! (and total "App" usage decreased by the same amount).
Is there a more reliable way to find out how much space an app is using?

Apr 18, 2012I have 2 710s and I wonder if the 8GB is enough for storage. I'm new to smart phones so all this storage stuff is new to me. On one of our phones, we have 387MB available and on another, 1.37GB. We recently got the phones and have basically DL'ed some apps, games, in Nokia maps (our state and nearby states). No music, haven't emailed any, no texts.
Anyone else run into low storage or space on their 8GB phones?

Jul 2, 2012I had close to 600 pictures and videos on my phone when I received the message "cannot record video not enough available storage." I've since deleted over 200 pictures and videos but now the second I try to record a 30 second video I get the message again. I then have to delete the video and then some just to free enough space to take pictures again. Besides removing everything what can I do?
