Lumia Icon :: Internet Sharing - IP Address Changes / Cannot Use VPN
Mar 24, 2014I just got the Lumia Icon and I've observed a problem with the Internet Sharing that is preventing me from using VPN. What seems to be occurring is that the outside IP address for the Verizon service changes very frequently, and happens as soon as the VPN software creates an isakmp sa, but cannot create an ipsec sa because the VPN end point sees the same sa, but the peer (IP) does not match, so the SA association fails and is removed. It's almost as though something on the phone is being reset when it sees that type of traffic.

After upgrade to new Android OS my phone displays no internet option but I can browse websites without any problems with my data turned off.
Which URL or IP address nexus 5 uses in order to check for network connection.
I have 4 nexus 5 phones. all connected to the same N network, two phones updated to OS 6 and two running OS 5. on nexus 5 phone, regular wifi icon on nexus 6 phones wifi icon and exclamation mark.

May 26, 2010After the update, my status bar does not show if i am online or not. The T-mobile internet icon does not show up any more. When i click on the bar above i see a red cross on T-mobile internet as if i am not online. Is anyone experiencing this after updating?

Jun 13, 2010I switched blackberry curves (same models 8310), and I used the switch device wizard on Desktop manager.I've lost my email and browser icons and when I try to get to an internet app (ie. facebook, yahoo), I get an error message stating that I couldn't connect because data service is not available. I was able to access the internet on my other phone.
I've checked the following:
- Options > Advanced Options > Host Routing Table (register and received activation text)
- Options > Mobile Options > Data Services is ON
- Removed the battery
Any other ideas? I am receiving phone calls, texts and my blackberry messenger app is working.

Jan 12, 2010FIRST QUESTION: I got an unlocked T-Mobile Pearl 8220 and am running on my company AT&T plan. The phone is great except I can't setup internet mail (Yahoo in my case). My company phone support guys have reloaded the phone software but still no icon and they have given up. I have the AT&T data service plan. The icon is definitely not hidden, it is just not there. I saw some posts about MMS and email not working together, and MMS and all other functions works fine. Is there another way to set up Internet mail without using the phone and the Manage Internet Mail icon?SECOND QUESTION: If I can't get this to work, is there a 3rd party internet mail download that anyone can recommend?

Aug 4, 2012This is the problem that I have been facing since I have purchased this phone(2years now). I am not using nokia push mail or even nokia mails at all. I have selected packet data Connection setting as "When Needed".
This happens every time I connect to the internet using mobile network and then remains there forever until either I restart Phone or go to offline mode. This is so annoying because it is not using any data though it is there.

I want Chrome to be my default, and when I click on most links it is, but when I search something from the google search widget, whether I use my voice or type, if I click a link it opens in the default LG internet browser.
I went to apps and defaults, then cleared 'Internet' from being the default and when I tried another search I was asked which I wanted as default and selected Chrome.

So when I was surfing the web using Chrome, I bump into a website that show popup ads and only "Ok" option available, so I just keep clicking "ok" and "ok", sometime my phone vibrate and there's few times it also download some file and went to my 'Downloads' apps, but I didn't open/click the files, will my phone got virus or any prob?
Btw, I immediately download file explorer app and delete the files inside the 'Downloads' folder, but the file still exist in 'Downloads' app.

After 2 months display went blank . Again i submitted in Nokia care, They said we need to replace LCD. and they have returned the Mobile. After colecting the Mobile i could see that , My handset was not even giving me 3 hours of battery backup. For this same purpose, i Submitted my handset in Nokia care 3 times. But No good luck. Every time they jaust return teh faulty handset telling its resolved. In a period of 5 months, I have submitted my handset to Nokia care more than 7 times. I asked for the replacement. They are not even doing that. I am very much unhappy with the services provided by Nokia. Please let me know how should i proceed further?

Nov 19, 2013When i tap the address bar to type a new search or even tap the X to stop uploading a page, it sometimes just not responding or doing anything, and after a few taps, it finally "agrees" to go into "writing mode", or stop uploading..
And while i'm at it, i tried a few browsers, but most of them were not as fast as the Chrome so ATM i decided to stick with it. Anyway, i was wondering if there's a good browser that lets you swipe left to go back, as in the IOS7 Safari? (instead of using the back softkey) it's also a bit weird that in order to go back pages when the phone is in horizontal view, my only option is to tap the back softkey, which is now placed on the right bottom side of the screen.. not very smart or comfortable.

Apr 12, 2015I've had this problem since Lolipop upgrade, my wife is now getting this problem after moving from Z1 compact (lolipop) to Z3 compact too, also seen this issue on XDA forums so it's a definite Z3 issue.
If I click a link in an app (Twitter, Google Search etc) then a Chrome tab opens but nothing loads in it, clicking the address and pressing return does nothing, copying the address and pasting in to a new tab or incognito window works OK. killing the app in the mutitask window doesn't work, restarting the phone allows it to work for a couple of days before it starts doing this again.
A solution is needed and rebooting the phone is not a solution, it's a temporary fix. I have a few Gb free on the phone, all other apps working fine. I'm on my 3rd Z3 in a few months, it's done it on all of them, resetting the phone to factory settings does nothing after a few days.
