I bought the htc one of gumtree last night. Everything seemed in order. It had the beats audio on the box, and it has itv on the phone when i play music. However my only concern is theres no beats audio red label on the back, is this normal.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI tried installing the newest update and powered off my phone because it froze now when I try to turn it back on it it shows the quietly brilliant screen then shows a bunch of colors and it keeps freezing on the htc one screen with the beats audio logo blue at the bottom. My phone is stock and i tried recovery and factory reset and it does the same thing but occasionally i do get the triangle and ! sign but then it goes back, what to do and I looked around to see similar cases but couldn't find any.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have had my phone for two weeks now, and have only just had my SIM switched to a Blackberry SIM. I turned my phone off and on as advised, and all appeared to be well. When I went into settings to set up my email, it advised me that I had to download some new software. Which I did. It prompted me to reboot my phone, which I did. However, since then I cannot get past the Blackberry logo when turning it back on. None of the keys respond, and after a while it comes up with a white screen and a error message. The phone then turns itself off. I am not low on battery and I have removed the battery a number of times, but the same thing keeps on happening. Has anyone else had this problem, were you able to resolve it, or will I need to call into the local vodafone shop tomorrow?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI posted yesterday about being stuck on the apple logo. It somehow worked itself out and I was able to back everything up. Today I noticed that the WI-FI was greyed out and when I went to reset it, it went back to the apple logo and is again locked there.
So I need to restore. I have the 3GS and when I go to restore it is says it will update to 3.1.3. Can someone walk me through how to restore so that it is still possible to unlock/JB?
My n900 died, I mean it, its just dead.I'll start by saying I tried all this and no go ..URL...All I see is the nokia logo and.. well thats it.
can't do anything with it, if I remove the battery and put back the logo goes back on and again, thats it.When pluging it to a usb my pc makes a sound like something was connected but the flasher and NSU do not find anything even with the "u" key pressed down.

View 7 Replies View RelatedJust activated my new Bold 9700 with Bell this morning. Everything works except for the email audio alerts.I'm quite frustrated with it as I have tried many solutions, hopefully a tech rep here can provide a method that I have not already tried.
When I receive an email, the LED light comes on, the red asterisk appears in the main message section but there is no audio alert. I have the profile set to normal, sonar ping as the audio choice and set to always on inside or out of holster. This all started after I tried syncing with the contacts of my old device, a Blackberry 8830 with Bell.
Here is a recap, in chronological order.
-9700 activated, voice calls work, classic phone ring tone works, went to BIS site, set up my two email accounts with Gmail and Yahoo. Received messages and email audio alerts.
-the problem started once I synced my old 8830, version 4.5.0.127 with desktop mgr and transferred the address book and BB msgr contacts to the 9700.
-the email audio alerts stopped working on both gmail and yahoo, still getting the emails though. Strange because when the audio alert worked, the red asterisk indicating a new email would appear on both the message section and the gmail/yahoo message section. With the audio alert not working, the red asterisk only appears in the message section.
-at this point, the 9700 is running on v5.0.0.3 something
-the sync also failed to transfer the 8830 address book phone numbers to the 9700. The names and email addresses were transferred but no phone numbers.
-changed the profiles by selecting a different audio alert, turned the wireless network off and on, removed the battery for 5 minutes and re-booted. Still didn't work.
-wiped the device, set up the email again, email audo alerts still not working.
- at this point, I returned to the dealer for help. They used their desktop manager to sync with my 8830. Their sync worked better as the phone numbers were able to transfer over. Again though, no email audio alerts.
-dealer spent 90 minutes, yes 90 minutes working on my device. He did the same methods I tried......twice. They wiped my device.....twice. Updated the service books, changed the normal profile to a alert tone other than sonar, still not working.
-store was closing so dealer suggested I remove the BIS email from the old 8830. Keep in mind my 8830 and 9700 have different mobile numbers on seperate accounts.
-return home and decided to do the opposite of the dealer's suggestion, I deleted the BIS email (through BIS site on my PC) on the 9700 instead of the 8830 and registered it again. It worked!!! Getting email audio alerts on both email accounts!!! Now sync it to desktop manager for back up, once I do it asks if I want to upgrade to v5.0.0.423. I back up my profile and click ok.......bad idea. Once that happenned, the email audio alerts stopped working again.
-restored the back up data I just saved, email audiio alerts not working. Then removed and re-added the BIS emails again, plus updated new service books and audio alert options in normal profile.
-repeated battery removal, turning network off and on, no luck.
As of this moment, I have a 9700 with v5.0.0.423, updated service books and two BIS emails (gmail and yahoo) that are still not giving email audio alerts. Is this a software issue or a defect within my own device? What can I do to correct this? It's imperative for me to reply to my BIS emails in a timely manner so the email audio alerts are a must for me.
Also, my 8830 was on a BES up until four weeks ago. Now it's on BIS only although one of the BES settings is still present and I haven't been able to remove it. I'm talking about the password security feature, the 8830 always asks for my pw to unlock it. Haven't been able to disable it from the security options screen.
With my new Photon, I am having some issues where a call will come in and have very bad crackling audio. If I hang up and call them right back, it is crystal clear. It's happened to me three or four times in two days. Do you think it's a defective unit?
View 8 Replies View RelatedA Couple of days ago when I had my headphones in and was listening to music on pandora I switched to youtube to listen to something and when I do that pandora automatically stopped playing, like it's supposed to. I then closed the pandora app and was watching a youtube video. In the middle of the video my music from pandora started playing, when the app was closed. I pressed no buttons or anything to make it play that music. The app was closed. Since then it's been happening more often. Sometimes itll be my itunes music that will randomly started playing when I'm watching a youtube video, and the itunes app is closed. And I'll try to make it stop by opening and closing it again but then when I go to youtube it'll start playing again and I can't make it stop. Does this sound like some sort of water damage to my headphone jack or maybe a problem with my headphones?

I have audio through the headset or speakerphone with no issue but none through the handset. Did a battery pull but that did not resolve the issue. I also just upgraded to Rogers OS 5.0.0.743 not sure if this is what caused the problem.

Sometimes the audio will work fine (notice this more when I'm on WiFi) but sometimes, in all apps (snapchat, facebook, regular gallery view) the video will play but the audio will cut in and out.
Not sure what it is. Phone is rooted (systemless) and is running the EX Kernel. I didn't mess with the audio settings in the EX Manager...
This is a huge issue for me as I spend a lot of time on Snapchat, Instagram and YouTube (I'm a vlogger, etc.).
I've had two Razr's behave the same, whenever audio plays, especially using the headphone jack and external speakers, one can hear an audiable click or pop just before and after the audio plays. This happens with Pandora, Rhapsody, and Google Navigator. I haven't tested other audio based apps yet.Verizon and Motorola say they've not heard of this issue, so I'm wondering how many other Razr owners have noticed this pop? Hearing such noises as the audio turns on and off is not acceptable quality for a Motorola branded phone.I don't know enough about how the Android OS works, but I'm thinking there are two possible causes. First, as different apps access the audio hardware the internal electronics of the phone produce an audible pop as the circuits power up and down. Alternatively, the Android OS may be probing the headpone jack trying to determine if it's connected to external speakers. I've noticed that the pop gets louder as the phone approaches 100% charge.
With a 90% charge or better I've even had the audio output go quiet if the headset cable is moved, even though the audio application shows audio is playing. I know that removing the headset cable will pause the player, but in this case hitting play starts the player and it shows progress, but no audio is heard.
I've been using my Moto Droid, running Android 2.2.2 for some time now. Up until recently, I've been able to use it to listen to Pandora and mp3s loaded onto the phone. Now, any time I plug a set of headphones into the audio jack, the audio is really distorted. It sounds like a channel is out or something, and this happens across all volume levels. It pretty much sounds like you're listening to music underwater. Doesn't matter if it's streaming adio through Pandora or mp3 audio. When I unplug the headset (any headset, mind you) and go to external speaker, the audio is fine.

This problem started recently. My bluetooth headset connects, and can trigger the call to be answered, but the iPhone doesn't use it as the audio source. In fact, the button that normally selects the sources, now shows only the speaker icon (and toggles speakerphone).
After updating to 5.1, it seemed to be fixed -- that same button again let me choose the audio source. That was yesterday, but today when I answered a call, it didn't go to the headset, and the source button again shows only the speaker icon.
The iPhone answers the call when I press the button on the headset. It's just not seeing any audio source.
I've powered on & off, not fixing the problem. I can't poinpoint the start of the trouble exactly -- it seemed to simply work one day and not work the next. I honestly don't remember if it coincided with updating to 5.01.

When i tilt the phone it does go to the Landscape mode however when i tilt it back it fails to go back to portrait.... Its getting a little annoying now so is anyone facing the same problem?
