Basically, this morning I noticed that my phone (which I've had without any problems for about a month now) wasn't making any noise when I was locking and un-locking the screen. I listened more carefully and have noticed that the sound is still there but I can only hear it if my ear is right next to the speaker.
The setting, obviously, is still turned on but is there someway the volume on the feature could have been turned down?
On my brand new Razr (24hrs old!) - I have noticed that when the phone boots and the SD card is mounted, there is an Audible sound "DROID" - and its annoying. (Now, I am not talking about the mechanical sound/video that fires up when the phone boots). In Sound Settings I find a section called "SD Card Notifications". You can turn that off or on and here is the odd part. If I turn it On, it will use whatever I have the "Notification Ringtone" set at. That makes sense. If I turn if Off, it will use my "Phone Ring Tone"! - A long MP3... This does not make sense. In other words, I cannot silence it and I would like to. The phone does have a "Silent" ring tone (internally) but it is not one of the available "Notification Ringtones" I can use.
Ok so I just got the incredible today. My first Droid phone. I m trying to record and send video via text message. Two things here. 1st the video at 30 secs long seems to be too big to send. I have tried recording it in both formats and at the lowest settings..Any thoughts on how to make it smaller? I was able to send video up to a minute long on my Blackberry so not sure what the problem here is.
I can barely hear the other person on the line. I know that's probably the noise cancellation is kicking in but still that sucks considering I didn't have such a problem with my 3GS which was pretty loud.
Have phone at max for volume. Can still barely hear a caller. Works great with bluetooth. How I can get the volume back up? Just started having this problem in the past month.
My BlackBerry Bold 9700's scroll button isn't working properly. I have taken the battery out, and that didn't help. The film on my scroll button has peeled off partially - I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it not working properly. The scroll button does respond to my touch, but barely. It responds much better if I have a napkin or a piece of material over my finger
The built in microphone on my 2 year old W350a is barely working. Person on the other end can barely hear me. Increasing the volume (using side button during call) does not do anything. I updated software.
When i make a call the person on the other end says they can barely hear me and hang up. When i am in the car on bluetooth it works fine but not when i am just using the phone as normal in the office or outside.
When I make a call, people can't hear me, or just barely if I speak very loudly. I can hear them perfectly. I have three bars or better. Did I reset some voice volume or something?

SOme times my lock sound disappear its randomally and when it happen i open and close again and its work some one told me its normal and can bewhat you saying ?
I have a galaxy s6 stock everything and the lock screen is really bugging me. I don't like how the song you're playing shows up as a notification instead of having a full screen player widget like iPhones. Is there any way to get this show it shows full screen album artwork as well as volume controls with music apps such as the default music player or Spotify. Also on apps like mlb at bat I can't even pause the sound.
Every so often these sounds become very quiet (adjusting the volume does not help) and only switching off and then on again restores them to normal levels
The new screen lock sound on Android 5 is horrible and annoying. I disabled it but I'd like to change it instead. Is there a way ? I liked the one on kitkat.
I have an iPhone 3G that had a defective dock connector port. I replaced the whole assembly (including mic+antenna) and now I have no sound (ringers, keyboard, etc) on my device. I checked the switch (orange dot) and I've performed a soft reset and a complete restore, with no luck.
If I plug in headphones, I hear everything fine through the headphones themselves. Unplugged, back to no sound.
Ideas and suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Also, if there might be another part that can use replacement, please let me know.
Can anyone tell me is it possible to download and use Audible books on the 5800 XM? If not Audible by Amazon are there any alternative suppliers that will work?
The app to listen to your audible audio books was featured here: http://www.nokia.com/developers /applications /featured-applications/audibleair a while back. It says it works with S40 v3 phones.I have a new 3710, sim free, which is an S40 v5 I believe. Trying to install this app OTA I get 'certificate not on phone or SIM' when it tries to run the audible.jad file. Anyone got around this or have a solution, please? I have seen other people talking about this, but with no 'howto' that would lead to a 'yes i can' or 'no i can't' decision. There is mention of a certificate in the JAD file - can I edit this somehow to remove the certificate check? On the other hand, is there some way of installing the required certificate?
I was hoping to find out why my 3GS when connected to my vehicle's handsfree system via bluetooth goes silent and I can no longer hear notifications such as incoming text messages. There is no sound via the car's speakers unless I'm actually on a call. Is there a way to configure the iPhone while it is paired with my car and still hear incoming notifications from the phone itself or through the car's speakers?
is there an audible low battery alarm ? I've seen only the visual indicators but not any audio warning. If it exists can I change the sound file associated to it? Can I change the volume of the alarm
