When I call someone, the call starts and a notice says "Speaker On" every time, no matter how many times I switch it off. How do I stop this from happening?Also, at random intervals, the screen turns itself on, draining battery life significantly. Why does this happen?

I was just about to sing the praises of lollipop but this is really annoying.
Has anybody else noticed that when you are on the phone, you are unable to adjust the volume while the phone is next to your ear.. I have went through 3 bionics and all of them have had this issue, in order for me to adjust the volume during a phone call I have to pull it away from my ear, let the screen light up, and then it will let me change it..
View 8 Replies View RelatedI am now on my 3rd droid 4, all have had issues with the ear speaker (speaker used when making calls and holding handset to ear) The 1st phone was the worst but I also had it for the longest. All phones started out perfectly clear but progressed into poor speaker sound. If you switch it to the hands free speaker during a call the persons voice sounds perfect but the ear speaker produces a static scratchy noise whenever someone is talking to you.I absolutely love the phone except for these speaker issues, I just want the thing to work correctly. Again, it is the speaker, not a connection issue seeing as the hands free works fine, I have also tried changing the bands in the program menu (##program)Im to the point where I am about ready to jump ship and give the razor maxx a try but I would really rather keep the 4 as I WANT a physical qwerty.Looking for answers, others that are experiencing the same problems, and possibly hearing that motorola is aware of the issue and has corrected it hopefully stating which serial #'s may have new better equiptment (speakers)
View 15 Replies View RelatedThere is no choice of call forwarding options in the N900. For example one can't forward all calls unconditionally to voicemail or another number and leave your phone on. This is the least expensive option when roaming if you want to leave your phone on, because it doesn't involve paying for two calls when a call is diverted to voicemail.
If you have call forwarding on, you can't stop it from forwarding calls received while busy speaking on another call. I prefer people to get a busy tone.
GSM standard manual forwarding codes (eg *#21#) produce an error message - incorrect number.
Any idea how to transfer contact info (or any other data) from an AT&T Samsung phone to the Eris? Clearly, due to the two different system I can't just use the SIM card from the Samsung. Tried bluetooth but after pairing the two phones the Eris showed: "Paired but not connected". (I entered 0000 as PIN code for both phones (no idea what those PIN codes might be)) and I got that message. Also, the phone is connected to my wireless (signal strength is excellent, speed 54 Mbps, channel 1 (I don't know what it means)) network but the browser is not working, I can't open any website. Can it be some setting issue?
Oh, the Eris is not activated at this moment on any mobile network, but the browser should work when I'm on my own wireless network, shouldn't it?
I have flashed verizon Droid Eris to Pageplus. It's working great. the only issue is I am using lot of data and end up in using all the 50MB in a couple of weeks.Any tricks to decrease data usage.I am using Wifi whenever I can. I try to disable mobile internet as many times I remember.

I tried several sprint prls and it still doesnt work. I slap the original verizon prl on the phone and I get full service bars.

i have tried to configure an imap ssl mail account on port 993 which has a self signed certificate. After entering the server and user settings etc, the connection test just ends without any message, showing the server settings page again. To my opinion a popup should appear instead, asking if I would like to accept the certificate. But as there is no chance to proceed to the next config page it is currently not possible to configure such a mail account. Several other users in german android forums are complaining this as well. Because the same server and settings perfectly work with my older HTC hero I assume that this must be a bug in the new htc mail app.

The BlueAnt offers voice-controlled speed dial on with phones that "adhere to the Bluetooth specification for speed dialing."For example, I should be able to say "Call Speed Dial 8", and the headset would tell the phone what to do. The V1 recognizes my commands (and repeats them), but when it sends them to the Eris, I always get a last-number redial.I suppose that means the Eris isn't fully Bluetooth compliant. Odd for a relatively new phone. Any hope in getting this to work? (and is this the best place to ask?)

Retransmission scheduled on XX:XX" Also when I try to select something on my main screen, for example 'messages', it'll go to something else. (people, recent calls, pdf viewer... anything but messages.)

I noticed the camera after update defaults to the widescreen mode and even if another setting is made once the camera is exited and re-entered it returns back to the widescreen mode. I prefer to use 5MP camera mode as a default, hopefully this bug can be eliminated on any new release.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI know that this issue was reported before, but I need to inform that it is not solved (or we are dealing with a regression bug): [URL] .... use Xperia Z2 (D6543) and sometimes when I answer a call, it goes straight to loudspeaker.
This problem does not happens often (so it is a pain to reproduce it), but is seems to happen when I receive a call while the phone is in standby for a long period (about 4 hours).
When that happens, the loudspeaker button does not display as selected, so to disable it I need to double hit the button to change the audio output (the first hit re-enables it, and the second disables it).
Currently, I am using Android 5.0.2 Lollipop, and Google Chrome 42.0.2311.111. I did not try to disable Chrome yet, but I am afraid this is not an option for me. Instead of this, I would be glad if this issue became addressed by Sony developers again.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI would like to know the official comment from Sony on the low in call volume of the X10. There are load & loads of people on the web complaining about the issue, on my X10, I can only hear a phone call if I am indoors in an extremely quiet location.. if I am outside, near a road etc I cant hear, and it is even worse on speaker phone. I would estimate the volume needs to be boosted by 50 to 100%, seriously the lowest volume of any phone I have ever owned.. which is a shame, as the rest of the phone is great.
Is there an official fix / patch in the works for the volume issue? or is this not being recognised as a widespread issue.. or is the hardward simply not able to do it?
It seems if I use "Poweramp", as a music player, I can adjust the EQ and boost the volume of Mp3's etc to a fairly decent level (much louder than the phone volume), so I'm sure it could be done with software...
I am only after an official Sony response, not people's opinion's, there are lots of other Posts like that, but I cant find any response from Sony to the issue.
