Jun 2, 2011I'd previously paid for the perpetual license for the Locations app. Since I upgraded to 2.3 it's reverted back to a 30 day trial.

View 3 RepliesI need help. I just upgrade my os to OS6 and in the process lost my license to Beamreader (BR). BR now wants me to register my license again or buy again. Is there a way to retrieve this ? I have checked past emails from BB App world and SLG Mobile (provider of BR) but only have the purchase receipt.

How about - for those people that have phones locked on a providers software/firmware and the map license has expired (like me on 3 in the UK at 30.0.011) that Nokia give us a free license for the current version?

Since then I have noticed my WIFI is not working. If I turn it on, it goes to "scanning" but has been doing this for nealry 2 hours. I have turned off and back on, also taken battery out for a few minutes and nothing.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have HTC Desire. I had some videos and pictures in my mobile. I never deleted them from my mobile, I just transferred them to my PC and with transfer they disappear. I can't see them in Gallery any more. Luckily due to the backup software Astro, i have got my Pictures back but I can't locate my videos anywhere. To remind you, I just transferred them, not deleted them from mobile.
View 3 Replies View RelatedThe HTC desire and HT Sync work well with Contacts, Photos and Calendar. But with documents, the synchronisation appears to be from the PC to the Desire and not the other way round. Thus it appears to copy rather than synchronise.
View 2 Replies View RelatedOn my PC and Galaxy Tab 10.1, when connected to my home router, I get about 1.5 mbps for my download speed. On the HTC I get less than 500 kbps. Anyone any ideas on how I can improve the download speed on the Desire, or is this the speed which it is supposed to operate at?

"Frequent Locations" states that I was in Beijing, China yesterday but I haven't been to China in 4 years. It's very accurate otherwise, telling me my home, work and favourite cafe among other things. I just noticed this one location in Beijing.

I've been transferring some favourite ringtones onto my E6. Now when you personalise a profile and go to select a ringtone, you are given some location options, Download sound clips, tones, songs and sound clips.
The ringtones aren't songs so I'm not saving them with my music otherwise the media player will just treat them as music. So that rules out "songs" Tones seems to be a system folder in which the standard ringtones are saved and to which the user is not allowed to even see, never mind access.
So I decided I'll manually save my ringtones in the "sound clips" folder. I have tried saving my ringtones into the folder called "sound clips" which appears on all three drives, the phone memory, mass memory and memory card yet still nothing appears in "sound clips" selection when attempting to select a ringtone.
I hope I'm not missing something obvious here but does anyone know where the "sound clips" folder used by the ringtone selector is actually located?
As an aside, have you noticed when you browse the folders of the E6 using the built in file manager and then do the same from your PC via a USB connection, some of the folders have completely different names. Hardly logical or intuitive and it makes life difficult for numb nuts here trying to find his ringtones.
I am trying to get the SPC code from my Sprint Tour 9630 so as to retrieve the MSL code on my own instead of having to purchase it from ebay.

My question pertains to the different storage locations on the phone. I hope that I am making my question crystal clear.
About the “Internal Storage” folder on my phone. I noticed that when I take a picture using the phone’s camera, it automatically puts the picture in a folder called, “Camera.” I can see this folder when I open the “File Commander” on my phone, and I can view the picture this way. Also, I can view this picture by opening up the “Album” on my phone.
I noticed that when I open File Commander, I can also get to a bunch of folders under “Internal Storage.” I can create sub folders in this folder and move my pictures here, if I want to. If I move a picture to this location, it is no longer viewable by opening, “The Album.” But who cares. Not a big deal, as I can always just open the File Commander if I want to see my pictures.
Next – I connected my phone to my PC running Windows 7 and noticed that all the folders are recognized and show in windows explorer EXCEPT the “Internal Storage” folder.
My question is WHERE should I store my pics and videos and other files on my phone so that if the Android operating system were to fail and I had to reinstall it, the files would not disappear? If I make a file system under “Internal Storage” and save my files there, will the files be gone if the operating system has to be reinstalled or if I upgrade to a later version of the OS?
Whenever I'm at school my battery drains exponentially. Today I was writing a final exam and had my phone in my bag for 3 hours, in that time the battery dropped from 80% to 45%. I don't think my signal is the problem because I have 3-4 bars of lte at all times when I'm at school. As for optimizations I'm doing most of the tips erasat provided in his thread. I am connected to wifi too. The battery stats on the phone doesn't show anything is draining my battery. What could be the culprit?
Also this only happens when I'm at school not anywhere else. This has been going on ever since I got my s6 (3 months).
How do I save locations on my Samsung S6 phone other than tagging photos? Would like to go to a saved location and have Google maps audibly tell me how to get there. Do I have to always take a picture? Don't want to do that.

Yesterday it thought I was in Kassel Germany and today it's South London.
Done a few resets, flashed stock firmware, but nothing works.
Based in UK and my phone is unbranded on EE.
Namely, every time I open the Google+ app on my S6 Edge, then try to open Locations, the app crashes.
I've sent several crash reports, no use. I've factory reset the phone, no use. Took it to Samsung service, no use.
They've reinstalled all Google apps, no use. The odd thing is, my S5 mini duos handles G+ Locations with no problem.
The GPS otherwise known as LOCATION always disables itself. I must activate it many times everyday. Is there a setting that will KEEP LOCATION activated?

Ever since the GB update this super handy little app has been a bit on the forgetful side. Meaning, after I take the time to put a target into the directory for "Shared folders" it has little more than short term memory. All the connection information is lost shortly after I stop using the app and go to reconnect when the data is needed. Is there a cure?

I have a Samsung Galaxy S6. Recently I went for a overseas trip and connected to wifi in hotel over there. After I came back, I found there is no way to forget the saved wifi as I could not find it in my Wifi network list. There is a menu icon to see Saved Wifi when goes to Wifi Setting for the other mobile phone with Android Lollipop from other manufacturer, but that icon is missing from Samsung Galaxy S6. Is there any other way for me to forget those wifi networks saved in other place?
