I am trying to get the SPC code from my Sprint Tour 9630 so as to retrieve the MSL code on my own instead of having to purchase it from ebay.
I am using the program unicdma and i need both the starting memory address and length of the SPC.Does anyone know how I can attain these values?
I owned a Tour from Sprint. I recently called Sprint because the memory in my phone will significantly decrease within a few hours of resetting it. It drops anywhere from 20MB to 30MB really quick. They sent me another phone and realized they have a disclaimer that if they don't find anything wrong with the device they might charge $75. The apps I normally run is Twitter, Facebook, Email, Memopad, Meterberry, Weatherbug, Slacker, Pandora, SMS, BBM and AppWorld. I want to ask before I switch the device is if that memory problem is normal. I'm running the last OS update from Sprint.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm just wondering why my application memory is so low. When I go to App World and then My World and look at the memory bar, it says I only have 83 MB free. I only have two things installed - Imagining theme (751 kb) and the Spectrum theme (1.2 mb). I'm pretty sure that those aren't taking up 173 mb themselves.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm considering getting the Tour 9630. I have been researching this phone a lot all over the internet. I heard that the memory on this phone is not all that to brag about. I also heard that you can not save applications on memory cards or something like that. (Please clarify that for me if I misunderstood). My question is I have been wondering if the applications take up a bunch of memory. This will be my first blackberry and I am not sure on how much memory applications roughly take up.
I know there are probably random number figures out there, but apparently everyone thinks this phone is overall a great phone even without saving the applications to your phones memory. Excluding that is that the only thing you can not save to memory on it? Just a little FYI I'm new here so please bare with me as I get adjusted to this site. I looked around and didn't find anything regarding this. If you need anymore information or me to be more clear please let me know so you can assist me as much as possible.
I am looking to increase my memory, I am wondering what some of the apps are that I can get rid of. I have removed the games and some basic stuff, but would like to get in there and clean it out pretty good without screwing it all up.

All I can remember it it was in the stock system not an app and that when you clicked on it. A progress bar popped up saying checking memory or something like that. The results broke down where the memory was being used. I have clicked and clicked till I have a blister on my finger. Will someone please slap me and wake me up showing where to look again.

Although I can make and receive calls with no problem.Did u guys have to do something special prior to entering the card?

I can't figure out how to get the pictures off the memory card to the internal memory so I can put the 2gb memory card back into my tour that it came with. I don't want to use Roxio because it messes up my computer and the Menu > Move doesn't move it to the internal memory!

I am not using an SD card and I'm trying to mount the internal memory as a drive in Windows, so that I can access and download pictures taken with the camera. When I plug it in, Windows mounts a removable drive but doesn't let me access it (insert card). Storage class driver is turned on (or off, makes no difference). BB desktop is installed, but doesn't help.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI had changed in my camera options to "store pictures" on the sd card NOT "in device memory".A few days ago while taking some pics I maxed out the sd card and while trying to back out hit "ok" to something not sure what it was. but it changed the bb setting back to "device memory" and now when I try to change my camera options of "store pictures" back to the sd card it stays in "in device memory" and gives me no other option to use the sd card (which i did clean out some pics for space). It does show a folder where it is storing pics I take though but when I click the trackball to change from device memory it only shows

I currently carry a Tour.I've worked on countless BlackBerrys, processed many repairs and exchanges, and have studied these phones from their hardware to their software. However, I have come across a problem that I cannot repair. Let me explain. BlackBerry Tour on Sprint. The device will not power on. I have done the standard protocol on devices that will not power up-- replaced battery, tried to connect to Desktop Manager, try connecting to JL Commander-- none of which had any effect. The owner of the phone has accepted that I will have to order him another one, but has propositioned me outside of work and offered me a handsome reward if I can get the contacts and texts messages off of the old one somehow. I told him how unlikely the possibility is, but with the amount of money he is willing to pay me for it, I am going to try.My question to you gurus out there: What can I do to accomplish such a task? I took his motherboard out and put it in different Tour's housing, hoping it was just some insignificant cable problem from the original housing, but sadly it still did not power on. The device has only been used for about 3 months, and the motherboard has no signs of abuse of any kind. Does anyone have any ideas, crazy or not, how to get this motherboard to power on so I recover his contacts and/or text messages? He bought me a soldering kit and told me if there's ANYTHING else I need to get the job done, let him know no matter the cost.

His only concern is that, in our business we will need to use Handheld Contact to integrate with a program called ACT! and we are not sure that the tour will hold all of our contacts? How many contacts will the tour hold including email addresses any everything? We have over 3000 contacts in our ACT! database.

This is probably a dumb question but here it goes, everything I had on my Tour isn't on the battery right? My replacement doesn't have a battery so I have to use the battery from my Tour. When I use the Tour battery on my Bold, it'll just act as a battery and just give life to the Bold right?
Another question, what's the original os on the Bold? Is there a new update or one coming up? I got my replacement because of the update that I did on my dm and now I'm afraid to update it from dm. Should I not do updates over ota?
alright so im running .230 forever now and lately its been giving me problems,the phone freezes sometimes, slow other times.what bothers me the most is that I can Record videos, but when i try to play them back it comes back with an error and then i cant even play them back on my computer.so what OS should i run? i know .591 is crap.. so help me out here guys, i need my phone to be reliable again

Other than that it doesn't but every time I put the phone on the table or something its restarts and its becoming a little annoying. I have tried numerous battery pulls and nothing. Should I just bring it into Verizon to let them look at it and if something is wrong will they give me a new phone.

View 14 Replies View RelatedSorry I meant to put SD* card not SC. I had a bb tour 9630 that I broke. I got my new one and took my memory card out of the broken phone and put it in my new one. Does not work. Says it wont format. Everything is turned on like is supposed to be. What can I do? Kind of would like to be able to get my files off my card and use it on my new phone.
