I need the memory Starting Address and Length for the Sprint Tour 9630 so I can use it with UniCDMA?trying to get my msl so i can delete my number before turning it in.
View 3 RepliesI've researched my problem on other posts, and still not completely sure if my problem is unique or not.I have an unlocked Sprint 9630 I grabbed from our IT department before a trip to Turkey. It was supposedly deactivated - turns out it is still active on a Sprint number.
I've replaced the Sprint SIM with an Avea Turkish prepaid SIM that has data and Blackberry capability. It works fine for phone and text, but no ability to register the email with Avea Blackberry. Tech support there unable to determine the problem (unable to connect to server is the error message, both with phone and online).If I can deactive the Sprint number will that help? Or am I just out of luck.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI've entered a pre-paid SIM card and can't read the phone book on my TOUR, i dont even have the option to retract them from the card to the phone when i go to the menu. Although I can make and receive calls with no problem.Did u guys have to do something special prior to entering the card?

View 7 Replies View RelatedA few hours ago I uninstalled an app on my Tour, and was asked whether to reboot now or later to complete the process. So I selected to reboot now.The phone turned off and while the white loading symbol was feeling up it all the sudden stopped a little more than halfway loaded. So I removed the battery to try and start the process over and it continues to stop at the same point in loading process and won't turn on. I have never connected my Blackberry to computer before.

View 14 Replies View RelatedHas anyone noticed a bad battery drain on Sprint running .484 over the last 2 or 3 days or so? I don't know what the deal is, but I have been charging my phone over night, and within 2 hours, and barely any use at all, it drains to about 80%.I don't know why. I am not doing or running anything different than I normally do. Was just wondering if anyone else has been experiencing the same thing?The only thing I can think of is maybe they are doing something with the towers where I live, NJ, and that is causing my phone to search for a signal more, thus causing a drain.

When I went to plug it into my computer yesterday to back up my info, etc. it prompted me to upgrade to 5.0.0.484 from 4.7 (I believe.)Question - after I upgraded, the lock device feature went away. I usually use the left convenience key to lock it. However, the icon is no longer there and I no longer have the option available in the keyboard/screen section. PLEASE HELP! I need to be able to lock my device.
View 6 Replies View Relatedso I just recently update from 4.7 to 5.0.0.732. I can't get the darn thing to provision to save its life. I don't have BIS/BES since it's on Boost but the data did work before, at one point at least As of right now I can make/answer calls, send/receive SMS. No MMS and no Web, GPS, etc. My status says 1xev and I need it to say 1XEV. Whenever I try to Register Now (Host Routing Table) it never provisions, whenever I attempt to Update Profile, or Update Preferred List it says that it can't complete request. Any options I need to change or steps to take different? BTW Data did work on 4.7 and 5.0.0.6## and people have reported that it does work on .732

Some of the contacts are just copies and some have a facebook name on it. I have tried deleting and reinstalling facebook but the issue is still there. My question is: is there I way I can quickly delete all this duplicate contacts without doing it one by one?

View 10 Replies View RelatedOkay, I log into my gmail on my computer and it tells me my email is being viewed by another IP address. So I think did someone hack me? But it came to me that it could be my BlackBerry. It shows the other ip address not coming from a browser but from IMAP. I don't know what IMAP is. Is that the push email for blackberry? I went to whatsmyipaddress.com and my blackberry ip address was NOT the ip address it shows in IMAP on my gmail account. But I hear that blackberries use more than one IP address. So can you tell me, is IMAP pushed email? I haven't used the gmail app in a long time. Only my regular blackberry email. I need to know asap because if someone is in my account I'm going to have to change my password.

Now blammo, nadda!When I type an email (compose new, reply or forward), my email addresses from my contacts now longer auto-magically auto-fill. It doesn't matter what category the contact is from. I've tried alt "rbld" in the contacts. I've restarted about 15times over the last week, even with the almighty battery pull. I've tried re-syncing multiple times. I've removed and re-installed my email accounts. I've spent more time trying to fix it than typing in the dern addresses at this point, it's just so blastedly inconvenient and time consuming with my excessive emailing for work. I'm ready to try a stick dynamite attached to the phone, but thought it was a lil extreme, so I'm asking for help first...

View 4 Replies View RelatedMy blackberry is setup with microsoft exchange email. All was working well until I upgraded to the Blackberry Tour.
Here is my problem:
Sometimes, but not everytime, when I try to REPLY to an email I receive an error message which says that the email contains an invalid email address. I have scrolled through all the email addresses contained in the reply and can confirm that they are in fact valid email addresses.
Things I have tried:
Battery pull
Renaming my own contact name
Eliminating custom email "aliases"
Ever since I activated BES (so that I could sync email/calendar with my company's MS Exchange server), I have been experiencing a couple of email-related issues that I did not have previously:
1)When composing a new email or trying to add another contact to an existing email, when I type in the name of the person, the email address auto-complete function does not work. It does work when I am sending SMS, MMS, and searching through my Phone Book, but does not work in email for some reason. Even if I manually type in the correct email address, I do not have a option for the email. I can only reply to email or go through the Phone Book and selection the phonebook entry. I have done the phone book quickfix several times without any success.
2)My calendar events are not showing up in my BES email folder both sent or received calendar notices do not show up for some reason. I have re-sent the Service Books from BES a couple of times to no avail.
I'm just wondering why my application memory is so low. When I go to App World and then My World and look at the memory bar, it says I only have 83 MB free. I only have two things installed - Imagining theme (751 kb) and the Spectrum theme (1.2 mb). I'm pretty sure that those aren't taking up 173 mb themselves.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm considering getting the Tour 9630. I have been researching this phone a lot all over the internet. I heard that the memory on this phone is not all that to brag about. I also heard that you can not save applications on memory cards or something like that. (Please clarify that for me if I misunderstood). My question is I have been wondering if the applications take up a bunch of memory. This will be my first blackberry and I am not sure on how much memory applications roughly take up.
I know there are probably random number figures out there, but apparently everyone thinks this phone is overall a great phone even without saving the applications to your phones memory. Excluding that is that the only thing you can not save to memory on it? Just a little FYI I'm new here so please bare with me as I get adjusted to this site. I looked around and didn't find anything regarding this. If you need anymore information or me to be more clear please let me know so you can assist me as much as possible.
I think about 90% of my contacts in my address book on my Tour had all of a sudden disappeared. Yes, I didn't do anything and it's gone! Well this is what happened. I added a new email account to my BB and it was "activating" the email account. There was also a new icon that showed up while "activating". After about 20 minutes it's done "activating" and the icon was gone. So I thought everything was fine and dandy. The next day, I was told that my windows live account kept on signing in and out on it's own every few minutes. I made a call using speed key and there was no name for the number (the call did go through though). So I went to my address book and saw that 90% of my contacts had disappeared. That's what happened. I did not do a back up before I added a new email account to BB.

All I can remember it it was in the stock system not an app and that when you clicked on it. A progress bar popped up saying checking memory or something like that. The results broke down where the memory was being used. I have clicked and clicked till I have a blister on my finger. Will someone please slap me and wake me up showing where to look again.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI owned a Tour from Sprint. I recently called Sprint because the memory in my phone will significantly decrease within a few hours of resetting it. It drops anywhere from 20MB to 30MB really quick. They sent me another phone and realized they have a disclaimer that if they don't find anything wrong with the device they might charge $75. The apps I normally run is Twitter, Facebook, Email, Memopad, Meterberry, Weatherbug, Slacker, Pandora, SMS, BBM and AppWorld. I want to ask before I switch the device is if that memory problem is normal. I'm running the last OS update from Sprint.
