Just had a message on my phone saying that the phone memory was almost full, so I have been looking through the apps to see which I can get rid of etc, A lot of them won't let me transfer them to the SD card, any ideas why?
View 3 RepliesI assume I simply set up with the card as supplied, then use the USB lead to attach to my laptop as a Disk Drive, copying EVERYTHING (as apposed to selected files) off that shows into a folder, then insert the new MicroSD card into the Desire and copy everything onto it? My theory being that the SD card supplied will have some set up data and the new one will be completely blank.

View 5 Replies View RelatedIn my quest to transfer my apps from internal phone storage to my SD CCard I discovered that Motorola refers to (or is it Android) to your SD card as 'media storage'. In an attempt to use the 'Manage Apps' feature and selecting 'Media area' I see apps with check marks and those without. I thought that the ones with checkmarks are those already on the SD Card and those without are those that are not on the SD Card, but might be able to be put on the SD Card. (Another user via another question I put out there indicated that the check marks indicate whether or not an app can be stored to the SD Card . . . is that true?). At any rate I am getting the following message when I select an app and select the 'move to media storage' button.
Failure to move application. There is not enough storage left. Here is the particulars of my current state of storage -
Application Storage - 1.04 GB
Internal Storage-
Total Space: 4.36 GB
Available Space: 4.88 GB
SD Card -
Total Space: 29.71 GB
Available Space: 28.79 GB
*So I have plenty of SD Card space, why am I getting this error? Is the one user correct that just because I see an app in the media area tab, that doesn't mean that it can be transfered? Also, when I select an app and the button to move it to the media area is selectable (not greyed out) . . . shouldn't it be selectable without getting the failure I keep getting? Obvoiusly I have PLENTY of SD Card space, so there is something I obviously do not understand.
how I stop music appearing as 'unknown' when I rip a CD using windows media & then transfer it my desire? Some work fine but some annoyingly go here despite me checking that the details are correct (I think) before I rip. Compilation albums are a nightmare too. how to stop these being broken uop into individula tracks?

View 2 Replies View RelatedOk so everytime I move files over from my internal storage to my sd card on my galaxy s5 they become corruped. This is my 3rd memory card I have purchased so it's not that. I am even using an official samsung 64gb micro sd card uhs-1 class 10. When the video clips are saved on the device they play fine. So I copied them over to my sd card using the my files folder on the phone and "moved" them and "copied" them over. At first the files play fine but then when I go back later to play them some of them pop up as unable to play video and are corrupted. I googled the issue and I'm not the only one having this problem but I haven't found a resolution either.

How do I get my playlists from one card to the other? When I try media sync, I don't see playlists as an option to sync. (The media sync also immediately chooses windows media player, but I use winamp to put music on my phone).

I recently switched from an iPod 5th generation to an iPhone 5s. When I went through the process to transfer apps to my new iPhone via iTunes, there were a few apps that I couldn’t sync from my iPod to iTunes. Consequently, those apps did not transfer to my new iPhone. Almost all of my apps synced, except for a few. I clicked on the button to transfer purchases, but apparently that didn’t transfer all of my apps for some reason. Why I couldn’t get a few apps to sync into iTunes?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've got a VX 9100, and I'm trying to transfer a bunch of mp3s to my phone via card. It is a new 4 gb card. I formatted it, and then I drag-and-dropped a bunch (just over 500) of mp3s onto the card. I put the card into the phone, and it finds many of the mp3s, but not all of them. Moreover, it seems to lose more and more of the mp3s the further into the album list it goes.
Any idea what I'm doing wrong? The files do appear to be on the memory card.Are there hard-wired limits to the number of songs on an album? The number of songs on a card?Also, there's not by any chance any third-party or replacement mp3 players for the VX9100 are there? I'd like to be able to resume playing where I was, and as best I can tell, this phone doesn't do that generally (though it may do it when you get interrupted by phone call).
I recently bought an Xperia Mini Pro. I have one issue with this phone...The memory card that comes with the phone is almost three-quarter filled.....so I am not able to transfer most of my songs and pictures to it...I am thinking of buying a new micro sdhc card....But I have some confusion...Should I go for a class 6 or a class 10? View 3 Replies View RelatedI got a 16 GB memory card (which actually DOES have 16 GB memory - I ran H2TestW to make sure, having been burned) so that I could take a compressed backup of my data files with me in my phone.
I had one copied over ~ 4.5 GB with no problems, but now Windows Explorer tells me that "the disk in the destination drive is full" when I try to copy a 5.6 GB file to it. "Properties" said there was 10.5 GB free space.
Then I deleted the backup which was on it to create more space (14.8 GB) but I get the same message.
I recently purchases the Motorola Triumph.How can I move data from the SD card to the Gallery. At any rate, now I have downloaded itunes on my new computer and when I go to sync my iphone, it says that its going to erase everything on my iphone.
