When I restart the phone, I get a black box in the middle of the screen "Autorization Failed" - with no reference to which app it is. Is there anyvway to tell which app is throwing this message?
View 1 RepliesMy Blackberry Bold 9900 keeps giving me "call failed" and ''authorization failure" messages when trying to make outgoing calls.Only if I reboot the phone, the call goes through. My network provider already replaced the first bold 9900 with the same problem but now that it is happening to the new phone, I think something else is causing the problem.

I applied the OTA 6.0 update but when starting the phone i get a never-ending loop of "unfortunately ... has stopped" about lots of apps, and google services framework, process.acore, play services, etc
I got into stock recovery and cleared cache, no change
Any way to fix it without wiping data/factory reset?
Okay so I've just received a refurbished Nexus 5 from Google as my old one had a hardware power button fail. Anyway I've decided this time round I'm not going to root and wanted the phone completely stock so thought I would do all the OTA updates it gives me before I start messing around with it but have a slight problem.
The phone came installed with 4.4.2 and did an over the air update to 4.4.4 it now wants to upgrade to 5.0.1 however whenever I download the update which is 479.5MB it downloads it and tries to 'verify' install and then I get a 'verification failed' every time and it doesn't install? (may I add I have literally not touched the phone it's come straight from Google, the only thing I've done is logged into my Google account and updated whatever stock apps needed updating in the play store)
All my new contacts fail to save. When I enter the name and number, then hit Done, I get the "New contact saved" msg. But, a few minutes later, the contact is gone.

I just updated to Lollipop 5.1.1 thinking this would work but I am still having this issue. I don't want to have to use my data whilst at work all the time!
View 2 Replies View RelatedI flashed a custom ROM to my nexus 5 and was using it for the last few months. But today, I decided to rollback to latest stock ROM. And I double clicked "flash-all.sh" and it failed after few seconds. I could not see what happened so I again ran the executable under terminal and seen it failed again. I just remmebered that I hadn't unlocked the bootloader before running the script. Now, the phone is not turning on at all. It only vibrates if I hold the power button for some seconds, 6 seconds actually and if I hold the button for longer times, it keeps vibrating every 6 seconds.
I am not even getting the Google logo thing.

A friend gave me his nexus 5 because it have a problem, one day the phone was stuck on boot screen (the flying balls of lollipop) and to add difficulty (can't be easy right?) windows doesn't recognize the phone but it recognize my nexus 5 with the same cable on the same usb port....
I get a "Device Descriptor Request Failed"(the usb port on the nexus seems to be ok) but my nexus get none ... Is it a hardware issue ? I heard that there is issues with nexus 5's motherboard...
I can enter the fastboot and recovery but after a wipe, still stuck..... Not rooted and booloader locked....
I'm an immigrant to Android from iOS. On my iPhone, whenever there is an incoming call that I didn't answer, or a new message, there is always a very visible notification on the phone desktop, so I can deal with it immediately. This doesn't seem to be happening with my Nexus 5. Sometimes I don't discover the message, which was obviously designed for immediate reading, until days after, when I am going through my messages. I'm sure there must be a way to make the phone let me know, but I haven't figured it out yet.

FYI - I'm using Stock 4.4 Nexus 5 out of the box.
I am not talking about the "Facebook-pop.mp4". The newest version of the app introduced a newer sounding noise. It almost sounds like a water droplet.

Am suspecting i have some invalid setting however not sure which. This used to work fine until recently and my service provider confirmed that set up from their end is enabled correctly.
My nexus 5 has stopped notifying me when someone replies to me in the course of a conversation. It alerts me when a new text comes in but not once the conversation is in progress.

I changed the password in the Android Mail App (yellow icon) on my Nexus 5 and I can send and receive emails ok. however, every time I go into the App for this address I see the message "Can't sign In". When I get an email on my Nexus 5, if I delete it, it is gone from the server and when I log onto my computer at home I have no email. If I let the emails sit on my Nexus 5, download them to my inbox at home, then I can delete them from the Nexus 5 without losing them.The default seems to be to delete the message from the server when it's deleted from the inbox whether you choose "Never" or not.

Every time I get a text from her and open it up through the notification bar, the link that I sent shows up in the text box to send to her again. On the GS3, certain icons would show "event counters" or whatever they're called in the top right corner. The email icon would show me how many unread emails I had. The Text Messaging app would show me how many unread texts i had. Facebook would show me how many unread notifications I had, etc etc... They were all the same, a number in a little orange bubble in the top right corner of each respective icon.

For example, it's 6:15 a.m. right now, and I would like to text someone after they wake up today, but I may be sleeping by the time they get up, so I'm wondering if there is a way to schedule my phone to send out a text message 2 hours from now at 8:15 a.m.?
It seems as though there are several third-party apps that claim to do this - and I may end up trying one of those apps - but I would prefer to not install any other Texting apps on my phone, if possible, so I would like to find out if there is a way to do through through Google Hangouts.
I have T-Mobile service on a Nexus 5 running Android 4.4.4 and I use the version of Hangouts that is automatically installed on my phone for text messaging. I don't have any other Text Message apps installed on my phone.
By the way, if there is no way to do this through Google Hangouts, any 3rd-party app that will do this that they have used?

I Often times I'll get a " message failed" message while trying to send text or iMessages to friends. The only way it'll eventually send is if I dekete tge entire message thread. Any way I can fix this problem on my iPhone 6 plus?

Just wondering if your bold drops calls as frequently as mine does. it seems that sometimes the phone decides to act up and gives me a 'call failed' message whenever i try to make a phone call. I always check how many bars i have and its usually at 4 or 5. sometimes a battery pull fixes this, but other times, the problem is persistent. my old bold 9000 had the same problem, so i'm not sure if it's at&t or blackberries in general.
