I use my S3 a lot to take videos then play them on our TV. Is it possible with the Nexus 6? I am thinking about upgrading, and being able to play youtube and recorded videos on the big screen would make my decision a lot easier.

View 5 Replies View RelatedSo I have never had problems with my wifi, until yesterday. I realized the wifi was not on when I got a "Data usage warning" from my phone provider.
I looked at the wifi and it was not connected. When I try and connect to my home network (which my husbands phone, my ps3 and my pc are all connected to without issue) it gives me an "authentication error".
I would assume that would be the password or something, but the password is fine.
I have:
- tried turning to airplane mode and back
- tried changing it from "auto" to 2.4mghz only as in the troubleshooting guide
- tried turning off always scanning
- tried restarting the router and modem.
Nexus 6 periodically not automatically connecting to established wifi connections? When this happens I have to power off and then when powering back on the connection is resumed.

My Nexus 5 on 5.1.0 does not do this. Does yours? If my lock screen is set to PIN, I can enter as many incorrect attempts as I want, it never asks and never stops me. If I have a pattern set it will let me enter 10 incorrect attempts after which it simply stops me from trying for 30s, but it never asks for Google account credentials.
View 2 Replies View RelatedSo this morning I woke up to my phone on a boot loop on the Google Logo. I have no custom roms or mods on it other than I am running ART. I suspect it could be battery related as it will only seem to do this on the charger but when I don't have it plugged in it won't even start up. When it's plugged in it won't even seem to want to stay "off", it boots up to the google logo on its own. If I hold down the volume rocker I can get into the bootloader but it resets before I can select anything and boots right back into the google logo.
View 5 Replies View Relatedwhen charger is connected my phone keeps rebooting on Google logo, when I disconnect a charger it has no signs of being alive. now somehow i managed to get into fastboot, but when i try to get into recovery phone reboots again and shows full charged battery. View 5 Replies View RelatedCame across this article today which states, in summary, that Android tablets (including the Xoom) and Apple Notebook which a mini HDMI port are facing trouble after a HDMI Organization source states that the mini connection does not fulfill HDMI specification.Further, HDMI Org also claims that these brands have not received a proper license from them nor have they requested any authorization for the use of the ports. An official from the HDMI Org said that they have asked several tablet producers to replace the Mini DP plug that is currently fitted into tablets with a socket for it to conform to their standards and regulations.URL]Unfortunately, this article is not independently sourced. If true, this is a bombshell.

View 1 Replies View Relatedupdating my Nexus 5 to marshmellow has left it stuck at the boot animation. I can get into recovery and have flashed factory 5.1.1 and 4.4.4 images but all that changes is the device loops with older boot animations. Kwongger's NEXUS 5 Toolkit v2.2 completed successfully but didn't improve anything. Trying to flash Cyanogenmod I run into adb "unauthorised". The device had usb debugging enabled and the RSA key of the PC was accepted but after multiple factory resets it appears to be gone.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've noticed over the last week or so that my N5 gets hot when I browse the web for a few seconds. It gets insanely hot when I try to use navigation as well. I've never had a phone get this hot, this often. It seems like the simplest task makes the device very warm.
View 12 Replies View RelatedAround a year ago, my Nexus 5 kept 'crashing' on a very regular basis. However, I'm saying 'crashing' between '' because the phone was still on. I felt it vibrating when I'm called, the music kept playing and the notification light flashes. So the device was on, the backlight was working, but my screen remained black. The only solution was to 'hard reset' the device (holding the power button +- 10 seconds). The problem however kept reappearing.
I send it back twice, did multiple factory resets (with and without backup) and it seemed fixed. Until now, the problem is back since last week.
Sometimes it 'crashes' twice in a row, sometimes the device works fine for another 24 hours straight. I'm currently doing another factory reset, but my experience tells me this won't really solve anything. This is also the reason why it's hard to explain this problem to the manufacturer: when I send it to them, I lose my phone for more than 3 weeks minimum and it could be that their tests show no problems at all.
Any way in order to know the model of nexus 5 ( D820 or D821 )?
