I just received my S6 , and when I use the 4G network if someone calls me my phone doesn't ring , I only get a sms to tell me someone tried to call me ...
I know that voice doesn't work on 4G , and my phone should turn to 3G by itself but it doesn't do it , the only way to get calls is to force 3G only ....
I had a Windows phone, and when a text would come through my Bluetooth, it would say Text From......then read the text, then it would give me the option to reply back (With voice text) ignore, etc. Now with my LG G4, it's synced up, but when a text comes through....it just comes up on the car display...New Message Received...then I was told to push the OK on my steering wheel, but only defaulted text replies come up....no voice text command anymore. I was told it's not the phone, but possibly need to take it in to the dealer and it may not be compatible.

"Voice commands in English not available in your location" is what I get when I try to input an address using my voice. I'm in Canada, but I don't speak French. PLEASE don't tell me I have to have it in 'French' mode for it to work in Canada! I have it set for 'English, US'.
View 5 Replies View RelatedMy voice search doesn't work when I am on wifi data. It keeps thinking over and over and comes back with no results. But when I switch to mobile data network it works fine and returns the results right away. I can not even use speech to text feature while on wifi it, it does the same thing as voice search on wifi. I am not able to find out what the problem is. The formatting was incorrectly checked causing all caps. Just changed the formatting to correct that.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI wanted to use the USB audio function on my phone to connect to my DAC and then connect my DAC to my headphone amp.
This works fine with my Sony Xperia Z3 and my OnePlus One when running Android 4.4.
However, with the Samsung S6 (running Samsung's touchwiz version of Lollipop) the USB audio function no longer works.
After upgrading my OnePlus One to Cyanogenmod 12 (running Lollipop) , the USB Audio also ceased to function.
So I noticed that some apps utilize a floating menu button (I think that's because the s6 doesn't have a dedicated menu button?) that appears like a circle with 3 dots on the screen wich you can move around.
However it appears to somehow be broken, as when I tap the button a menu appears for a fraction of a second and then disappears again, not giving enough time to do anything and of course rendering such an app useless.
I don't know if touch screen is broken or it might be a problem with Galaxy s6?

I downloaded the right firmware, my device that I got is, Samsung s6 edge (SM-G925P).lp !
View 4 Replies View RelatedI made an update yesterday for the French firmware (BOGS TO COH2) android 5.1.1 especially to solve this problem. My screen works perfectly but the top of it doesn't work when I tap. I downloaded a multitouch app. And I found that the swipe works perfectly if I came from the bottom. So I think that it is a software problem. Some permanent solution? Rebooting the phone solves the problem for a while.

After installing the phone from the box all worked fine. Then suddenly message reminder stopped working despite all the settings are correct. After a complete reset (factory settings) all worked fine again for a few days and now again message reminder is not working.
What could be the course?
My wifi is connected, shows great signal strength, yet it doesn't work? Anything I try doesn't work, FB, Chrome, any app that uses internet connection.. I don't get what's going on... I did remove the WIFI info and forget it, then reconnect... that doesn't work. The only thing that fixes it, is if I restart my phone.

I don't have a back up password (or if i do i don't remember it) so I just typed in something so i could sign in with my google account. I typed in my correct email and password but its saying my password is invalid. I know its not invalid because I just used it on my computer. So now i really stuck..what do i do? When I enable Mobile Hotspot or share the connection through USB, the other devices connect just fine, but no data is received at all.
* Tested with both a laptop and another phone
* To rule out carrier restrictions, I put the SIM in a Nexus4 and enabled Wifi tethering, then connected to it with the S5, works np, just not the other way around.
My fingerprint is not being recognized by my Samsung Galaxy S6, my back up password is not working even though I'm pretty sure it's correct but maybe i have forgotten it I don't know BUT the other problem is I can't access Samsung device manager online because my Gmail account I have created on my phone requires the 2 step-verification thing where a code is sent to my phone first for me to type into my computer but since I can't access my phone I can't view the code!
View 1 Replies View Relatedi have a problem with my galaxy S5 ATT. so im using Netgear wireless n-150 router WNR 1000,its updated,but the problem was before the update and after the update it is the same. i'm using yahoo,gmail and comcast emails.i was able to setup yahoo email without any problems,i can send and receive emails from my phone when connected to wifi and without wifi. but i wasnt able to add to that stock email app my gmail account and comcast while i was connected to my wifi.it gave me error that it wasnt able to connect to the server to verify information.
So I tried to set it up on the mobile network and there was no problem. so now when i connected to wifi in my house i cant receive emails or send them using gmail and comcast email,yahoo account is working fine. i checked all the settings,i reset the router,still nothing.the funny part is if i download gmail app it is working without any problems.and if i connect to any other wireless router,all 3 emails work. also when i connect to my wifi, I'm getting internet and i'm able to open pages without any problems. So it should be some settings in the router probably ...
Droid Turbo (Android Version 5.1) - WIFI works fine at home and seems to work other places. I have been using it for months at work. Recently I cannot connect. Other people can still connect. I had the connection saved...but even tried deleting it and researching, but it won't locate the server.

I restored it to factory settings, and I got to the part where it says to let your phone restart, but after it did, the iPhone turned off and now it will not turn back on. iTunes cannot see it and I have tried charging it and it does not work. Problem 1:
The camera doesn't work. I open the camera application with both methods (button on side and icon in apps) but it does the red dot thing in the corner for about 4-6 seconds then disappears and applications tells me the app is running. I try to go to the app but it wont go on it.
Problem 2:
The green key, dialler and contacts icon on the home screen do not work at all. I have no way of opening my dialler as there is no option for it.
I updated my firmware to v40.0.005 last week. Please be aware the problems were both there BEFORE i made the update and are still here after the update.Is there any way of doing this without soft/hard resetting. Also, does soft/hard reset mean you lose the data in an app (eg your high scores in a game like bagatelle)?
I have the feature turned on.... but no joy.
