View 2 RepliesDid anyone have a **** of a time trying to get the micro sd card out of the slot like I did? The manual says there should be a lever mine doesnt have it!
I just received a replacement refurbished flipside that came with a micro SD Card that was NOT already pre-installed in the phone. When I went to try to put it in, it doesn't fit right! It seems to be too small and moves around too much in the slot. Am I just doing something wrong? How is it supposed to fit in that slot? There is a little rubber tap that says "Lift Here" -- I do that and put the micro SD Card in the slot, but the card is just to small!

View 1 Replies View RelatedLately, one touch of my power button causes it to open the profile menu, and then it restarts on it's own, without me holding it. Then it comes back on by itself too, like the power button is jammed...
When I pull the battery out, and leave it out for whatever length of time (I tried 10-20 min), as soon as the battery is back in, it turns itself on.As of the last few days, it has decided than when I place it on a table, or sometimes just getting moved around in my pocket, it wants to restart...
I do NOT want to send it back to manufacturer, as they will give me a $4 phone to use, and still charge me data rates and all that for 8 weeks.... But is there a fix for this, like a program or something that alters what the power button does? Can I disable the power button at all? Other than this issue, my phone is awesome! And if there IS a way of disabling, is there a way I can shut down not using this button, like if my phone freezes or something, besides pulling the battery?
I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 that will not mount a new Samsung Evo 64GB micro SDXC card.
The micro sd works in my galaxy tab 3 and a friends S4.
The S5 does however recognise the Sandisk 16GB SDHC that came with my galaxy tab.
When I connect an sd card reader to the s5 via the micro usb slot the phone recognises the card???
What else have I have tried.....
1) S5 factory reset of lollipop.
2) Formatting the micro sd
I bought this 128 GB SDHC card. When I try to load music onto it, it recognizes about 10 GB and then everything after that it says "player does not support this kind of file," though it's all just mp3s or m4as, both of which the card is recognizing. The files get loaded onto the card but can't be played, or even organized by artist or title. I've tried formatting, no good. I even contacted the seller and had him send me a new one, but the same problem occurred, so it's not a defect in one single card. I've tried loading the files through a card reader and directly through the phone, no luck. If it's a 128 GB card, how come it won't recognize any files past 10 GB?
Update: I just ran SD Insight on my phone. It tells me the model is APPSD and the size of the card is 134 GB. However, under manufacturer, it says, "SD card is invalid." Some more info from the scan: Serial #0x687, manufactured June 2015, SD card specification: physical layer version 2.00, CPRM security support: SDHC card (security version 2.00).
I have a Samsung Galaxy S5, unrooted, and I have been using a Samsung Evo 32 GB MicroSD card since I bought the phone in July. About a week ago I went to check for a photo and found that all of my photo albums that were stored on the MicroSD card were not found, along with all of my music and ringtones. When I looked at the storage, it didn't read my MicroSD card at all.
I turned off the phone, took out the microSD card, and put it into my Samsung Galaxy TabPro tablet, but my tablet read no data at all on the MicroSD card.
I tried to put the MicroSD card into an adapter to look at it on my laptop, but the adapter software said the card had to be formatted before it could be opened in Windows, so I dropped that idea for now.
How to have my card readable again or at least be able to retrieve the photos that were on the card? I had transferred a lot of personal and important photos onto the card (recent weddings of friends and family, pictures of my dog, etc.), and I'll be pretty upset if that's all truly lost forever.
I have ever a problem when I download or save something it goes to the phones memory not the micro sd card?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI picked up my new S6 from the Sprint store yesterday. I almost have all of my parameters set, outside of my pics & music from my S4 Mini . The guy at the Sprint store supported me with the contacts, and also put all of my music/video/pics onto the 32G Micro SD that I installed in the phone about 18 months ago.
I have the Micro Card, the Micro SD adapter to regular USB for my PC. I've made separate folders on my PC from the card---Video-Music-Pics, but there's some stuff I'm not familiar with that shows up as well.
My question is, what mode does my new S6 need to be in when I transfer this stuff to the phone?
I will say that some of the music (I have a LOT) wasn't set up very well in my S4 Mini and thats my fault for being in a hurry, but it did what I wanted it to do. I have the S6 plugged into my PC via charging cord/USB, and the Micro SD is in another USB port on the PC---
I'm trying to copy things over to my Micro SD 32gb for my Samsung S5 but everytime i put it into my computer it tells me to format it which i also cannot do. It says their is a write protection on, how do i remove and fix this problem?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Samsung Galaxy S5 updated to Android Version 5.0 (KitKat).
Currently when I press the Power Button, the screen goes black. But it does not lock the screen.
I have the screen lock set to 30 seconds. But even so, there are lots of times when I have put the phone in my pocket and it accidentally it the home button before the 30 seconds is up and random apps get launched as my phone bounces around in my pocket.
So I would like to be able to press the power button and immediately have the screen lock. I was able to do this on my original Galaxy Nexus. But I cannot figure out how to do this on my Samsung.
I did some google searches and I found many many posts that said "go into settings, select lock screen, scroll to the very bottom and click the option to enable lock on power button."
The problem is, when I go into the Lock Screen settings and scroll down to the very bottom, I don't see any such option. So, how to enable the Power Button to immediately lock my phone?
If you use the setting to have the power button end a phone call, how do you turn the screen back on if it goes black during a phone conversation without ending the call?

View 3 Replies View RelatedIt appears that the power button on my Galaxy S6 isn't working anymore. I have faulted this with samsung and they have asked me to send it to them for repair. Today, I was going to back up my phone but my battery went flat before I could do this and now I cant get the phone back on!! Some have suggested holding down the volume up button then plugging in the usb lead while connected to a computer, it didn't work. I have also tried the volume down button and the home button at the same time while plugged in via usb, this didn't work either. how I can get into recovery mode without using the power button, I really need to get the phone back on, the battery is sealed in.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've recently had my phone reset to factory settings. I've gone through and installed all my apps etc back on to it and updated the software to the current build (all stock, and not rooted).
I have had 2 issues with it, the first being not being notified of emails from the gmail app - sync was ticked, as were the relevant labels...still didn't get any notifications through. I read somewhere that if downloaded the gear app (for smart watches) it would resolve it - it has seemed to, even uninstalled the app and I'm still receiving notifications.
The 2nd issue is around the fingerprint lock. If i leave my phone to time out, the fingerprint scanner lock works as it should do. If I lock the phone with the power button, it bypasses the fingerprint scanner and only locks it with a swipe.
Before updating / factory reset it worked as it should do.
does the 8530 have a slot for a SIM card?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've had my lumia 800 for a year now and loved it, but unfortunately I dropped it on the corner closest to the sim card slot, and it appears that the clip which stops the sim card holder from springing up has been damaged so it won't stay in place anymore and pops up. This obviously means that the phone doesnt detect the sim and turns off.
