well basically i bought this phone used and the microsd slot metal part/spring whatever you call it, is not there, is their any way i can still use a microsd in my phone?

I currently am using 20GB on my Droid, and I can't upgrade to a phone that only allows me 16GB. The iPhone even has a 32GB version. Is PCWorld correct? I recently upgraded to an android phone but really don't like it and it's to late to return it. So, my options are to go back to my 8330 which is 2 years old and hope it makes it the next 2 years of our contract or stay with the Android that annoys the heck out of me. Is it possible to take the SD card out of the android and put it in the BB so I don't have to deal with activation fee's? I'm thinking that it's not possible but a friend insists that I can do it.
Don't want to damage my BB. Thanks in advance for any advise.
I've had my lumia 800 for a year now and loved it, but unfortunately I dropped it on the corner closest to the sim card slot, and it appears that the clip which stops the sim card holder from springing up has been damaged so it won't stay in place anymore and pops up. This obviously means that the phone doesnt detect the sim and turns off.

Is there any way to save the text messages to the media or sim card? She already has a new 8310 and she has to return the old phone (with the messages) to the warranty company. I've downloaded some apps and themes and I want to make sure they get transferred to the new card. I tried doing a full backup and restore using Ovi Suite and some of the downloaded apps made it and some didn't. I tried to re-download some of them from Ovi Store but Ovi Store seemed to think they were still there and wouldn't let me download them again. Is it as simple as copying the contents of the old card to the new card?

When I went to try to put it in, it doesn't fit right! It seems to be too small and moves around too much in the slot. Am I just doing something wrong? How is it supposed to fit in that slot? There is a little rubber tap that says "Lift Here" -- I do that and put the micro SD Card in the slot, but the card is just to small!

I just sent my Xoom off on a repair ticket because when I went to put in the SD card, I goofed. I did not realize the clear plastic "fingernail" was holding the SD slot. I tried to put the card in and it slipped under the appointed slot and got stuck inside the Xoom.if you haven't inserted your SD card yet, don't do what I did. There is a clear plastic tab that must be removed from the slot for the SD card. get the card back with the Xoom. It worked fine even with the stuck card, but the dust cover wouldn't go back on.

Do I need to format the card transfer stuff.I don't want to do I need to format the card in the phone onthe computer and if in the computer "how". I am trying to go to a 1gb to a 4gb... View 4 Replies View RelatedSo, I've searched, and I guess I'm not using the right terms, but my media card is having some problems. A couple weeks ago I added a good amount of music to my 4 GB card. Everything was working fine. Then one day, I had to reset my phone. Went into my Media link from my menu, "Scanning." Fine. It took forever, but when it was done, it wouldn't load my pictures after clicking the thumbnail. On top of that, the media player skips all my songs. I have to select each indvidual song or it will just repeat the song over and over with Repeat off. Looking at the playlist it just quickly highlights each one in the list and moves to the next. If I select each song it will play.If someone could point me in the right direction that would be awesome![EDIT]Also forgot to mention that I turned the phone off, took out the card, turned the phone on and used it for a while, turned it off again, and re-loaded the card. I'm thinking of just erasing the card and staring over.
