My keyboard only recognizes some of the times I hit p,L or delete etc. on the right because of this dock thing. I just got this phone today and I will return the phone if it cannot be fixed.

View 4 Replies View RelatedIt is my goal to own two iPhone 4s tomorrow morning at 7am via my local Apple store without a pre-order. However, my girlfriend and I are currently on a Verizon family plan and despite me constantly explaining how the iPhone will be the best investment she will ever make (I even used to have my own iPhone at the same time as the Verizon phone), she still needs more convincing that AT&T is at least pretty similar to Verizon's service and monthly bill.
Shortened story shorter (the point): I'm looking for some type of up-to-date comparison chart/website to compare the two. I tried Google but couldn't find anything worthwhile. I have a feeling if there's anything out there, MR would know.
I just thought of something else. Incase Apple is so busy tonight that they don't want to cancel Verizon and set me up with AT&T until they "officially" open the store (10am), can I still just pay for the two phones and set them up with our old Verizon numbers and new AT&T plan at a later time? Obviously I would do this to insure I have the phones in my possession and won't need to wait until they have new stock.
I bought the Atrix just for the docks (I have the car and lapdock) and after spending that much money I expect better from Motorola. I've updated to gingerbread if that help. The car dock hasn't rebooted the phone as much as the lapdock does but my lapdock is now useless.
View 6 Replies View RelatedHaving trouble trying to sideload apps on my unrooted Verizon Galaxy S5 running lollipop 5.0. I have the unknown sources box checked, I install things from the Samsung store with no problems. So, from my phone, with chrome browser, I downloaded the APK file for Facebook lite from apk mirror website.
Then I went to my stock file manager and found that file in the download folder obviously, which is on the internal memory. I click on it, and it seems to show the proper screen; name of the app, "do you want to install this application? It will get access to:...." and it lists all of the permissions. So I read and scroll down then the options are "cancel" and "install".
So obviously I try to click on the install button, but absolutely nothing happens. It's not a delayed response, no different if I long touch. Nothing. Yet if I click cancel it works immediately. So I tried moving the file to the SD card memory and got the same results. I can't figure it out. I've tried Googling and it get no good results, everything just shows the regular method that I'm using already. I can't find anything specific for this phone in case that's why it's not working. I've tried sideloading before a while back and had the same problem on 4.4.4.
As you see on pic widgets are moved from left side more then from right,and that is maximum size because I was trying resize more but that's is max what I can set.
View 5 Replies View RelatedSo when using Dolphin browser on my S6, and visiting some sites [replicable for me loading up imgur.com ] the browser freezes up midway through loading it, and the page becomes unresponsive. A few seconds later the screen goes black, and brings me back to the home screen of the phone. After this, my wallpaper would be reverted to default, and while plugged into my computer I would lose access to the sd card. After crash like that from Dolphin on s6? I've since uninstalled it and have been using chrome for now.

I thought it was the lens or the plastic film covering the lens. I was wrong and it appears the issue is with the sensor itself. T-Mobile is sending me another unit.
This is an expensive piece of tech. So make sure you check everything the first days you own it to ensure you are not stuck with a defected one.
Every time it Accidentally touch the side keys it turnes the ringing sound really low and i cant hear my phone ringing.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI've had this problem for a while and now I'm getting work I don't want to miss my phone because I've put it on dead mode. Before I factory reset my phone, I was able to change my volume using the side buttons to go from different levels of sound, then vibrate only, then dead mode (complete silent and no vibrations). Now I only have different levels of sound and dead mode. I read about changing an option in sounds to vibrate only in silent mode, which will fix this but I can't find that either (my suspicians are that this option was taken out in ICS or moved to a secret location to foil my plans).
View 2 Replies View RelatedToday I woke up and it said a photo sharing cable was plugged in and there was nothing plugged into it. So I restarted my phone and then it wouldn't keep any app open for more than 5 seconds and it would exit out of it and didn't let me use the back button but the left one and the home button still worked. It also keeps saying the dock is connected when it isn't and when I tried charging it it kept not charging after a couple of seconds. Restarted again and this problem continued and then my phone said it was overheating but it wasn't even hot and it would turn off and now every time I turn on the phone within 5 minutes it says it is overheating and shuts down but it is cool as a cucumber.
Also it won't let me charge it because the battery is "too hot" and it's only at 30% so should I take it back to verizon?

As of this morning, my phone no longer charges using the supplied Samsung charger. Additionally, when I UNPLUG the cable from my computer or the wall, I receive a notification saying "The dock is connected" which is obviously odd as I have actually just disconnected the cabling. Along with this message, the docking audible is heard when plugging in the charger on either the computer or the wall.
When I plug into my computer, the phone is no longer recognized as a USB device either which makes it difficult to back anything up at this point.
I do not have the lighting bolt or any blinking LED's while the charging cable is plugged in.
So far I have done the following to troubleshoot
- tried different cable on both the computer and wall
- power cycled the phone multiple times
- checked for system updates. I am up to date.
- cleaned / blown out the charging port
- cleared system cache
I have not yet done a factory reset for obvious (last resort) reasons.
When I dock my s2 on my vehicle dock it automatically launches voice talk and starts listening for commands.
This is very annoying as it just ends up trying to listen to whatever music the radio is playing and then tries to work out what I want it to do.
I want it to sit there, charge and shut up lol... If I want voice activation i will launch that myself.
I'm on my second Motorola Standard Dock for the Droid. In each case the dock worked fine for a short time, then phone suddenly stopped going into "dock mode" when inserted. The connection is OK: Still charges the phone. Just no dock mode features, which is why I bought the dock in the first place. Tried every combination of seating while turned on/off, seating then turning on/off, powering and de-powering dock, etc. No dice. Phone docks fine and enters car dock mode with car cradle. Using provided charger(s) with dock(s). Have not tried full reset of phone due to hassle of reinstalling apps, etc., but powered up, removed battery, etc. Am I really so unlucky as to get two defective docks or is there a software issue here?

It sometimes works perfectly but then i try and press a button on the left hand side of the screen and it chooses the one at the right-hand side. This obviously makes everything very difficult! Any ideas as to why this might be/how I could repair it? I've tried the touch screen calibration about 10 times, it sorts it out for about a minute.I can send it to Nokia to replace but I could really do without sending my phone away
