Jul 19, 2015Galaxy S6 Edge - get "unable to recognise your fingerprint" message - gives "Emergency Call" only option (why not "Backup Password" option) - trying to tap on Backup Password doesn't work on the "Power On" screen doesn't work and the "unable to recognise fingerprint" message pops up after about 5 seconds. I've tried tapping on the "Backup Password" option about every time - no luck. How can I access my device???

Jul 14, 2015the media volume (for the Music app) suddenly started dropping to mute continuously. i've had the phone in my hand (not touching any volume controls) and watched the volume level drop repeatedly.. i raise the volume, it drops again. this has happened about 6 times since yesterday, i'm completely baffled by this.what's worse, the volume has also gone all the way up to max, so i'll be listening to music when all of a sudden it's blaring full blast in my ears and i have to rip the ear phones out.

Nov 24, 2015Okay so my dad wants to get into the security option in his phone to add a fingerprint, however to do so required the backup password.
Knowing my dad, he had forgotten the password and cannot get in here, the only suggestion we have found is reset your phone which obviously is a bit last resort.
I have found some suggestions I. e. sign in your Google account however that did not work nor did a suggestion which was to go in private mode and from there it will prompt the fingerprint and make that default.
so my question is how do I restart the password?

Jul 8, 2010I have a Nokia E63. When I got it I setup my Gmail and company email on the phone with OVI mail. Everything worked fine. The I decided I want to make changed to the accounts. I removed the gmail account after which the email functionality became useless. I was forced to remove OVI mail from my phone. I reinstalled it and now it is asking for my nokia messaging username and password. I tried and tried but it just don't want to sign in. My company email account was specifically persistant in this mater and even if I got it set up it would ask me for my password to log in.
I soon resorted to deleting my Nokia OVI account in attempt to release the company email from OVI mail. I then created a new OVI account to no avail. I read that I should uninstall OVI store and restart my phone then reinstall OVI store. Now OVI store is completely unable to log in to my account (obviously because the original account is now deleted) Furthermore I am unable to change OVI store's login details. This is a huge mess. Clearly someone hasn't been thinking.

Jul 5, 2015I just got a new samsung s6 edge previously an apple user and really annoyed by this phone, all I hear from friends is apple is so crap well I've never had an issue with iphones for me they worked how they were meant to work, now I have the s6 edge and problem after problem doing the most basic of things, the most annoying of which is photos.
I'm trying to drag photos from the dcim folder of the phone to my windows 8.1 desktop, obviously connected by usb I have the drivers installed etc have used both the mtp and ptp options in phone, neither option works each time I drag to desktop all the windows close screen turns grey like explorer crashes and the desktop refreshes, also done copy and paste does the same thing.
I don't want to use software as only way to do it which is slow and laborious is like google photos etc. surely if its treated as a storage device just copy and drag, really annoyed as it should be so simple.

Nov 29, 2015I had a GS5 and I was able to sync facebook contacts to my device contact list with ease. However, I can't do the same with my GS6 Edge. Going to accounts-> facebook, only shows my account with a gray "refresh" bar saying " sync turned off" and it gives me no option to turn it on. Master Sync is turned on, and Sync from the main pulldown bar is turned on as well. I'm getting ready to chuck this phone at the wall cuz Im so frustrated. This was not an Issue with my GS5.
