Galaxy S6 Edge :: Phone Freezing With Flip Wallet
Sep 24, 2015My one month old S6 Edge fell down last week and the front glass broke. However I used the phone normally until today when I got the display replaced in a store. With an original out of the box display from Samsung. After that I noticed that the back and app key (the lowest touch buttons one the front) did not light up at all, although they did work. When I put the phone in the flip wallet cover it went dark and did not respond anymore. I could here it getting emails or phone calls but the screen kept black.
I pushed Volume Down and Off buttons until it restarted, with normal screen (the touch buttons also lit up for a second) but after loading normally the screen went black again. If I took it out of the wallet cover it lit up, the two keys also lit up, but the keys did not work at all. Again forced restart. Without the wallet cover the phone starts normally and works except that the touch buttons stay black, but they work. The moment I insert it into the cover it goes black. It must have something to do with the magnet sensor?

Jun 28, 2015I bought an official Samsung S6 Edge flip case cover for my phone. The S6 Edge fits very nicely and it looks professional. However... when I put my phone in this case, it immediately goes into sleep mode and I can't wake it up unless I take it completely out of the case. And even then the touch screen doesn't work and I have to do a hard reboot by holding the Power - Home - Volume keys.

May 27, 2015I miss the full screen album art on the lock screen from my lg G3 while playing any type of media (Pandora, Spotify, etc.) ... Even worked while I used xbmc (now kodi)... I believe even Samsung had this as well. While some didn't like it, I loved it!
Any way to get that back on the s6/edge?? Not sure why they did away with this.
I'm rooted, so if there's any mods out there that'll achieve this for root, let me know

Jan 27, 2010I received my Flip 8230 today and have not yet had the chance to activate it and probably won't until tomorrow or Friday. I've been playing with it though to get a good feel for it, and I've noticed that there's no browser installed nor is there any MMS folder or option when sending a picture. I did a search on both issues and found one thread in which it was suggested to resend the service books to remedy the browser problem, so I'll do that as soon as it's hooked up.
What worries me more though is the lack of an MMS folder or MMS option when trying to send a picture. (I can't actually send one of course since my phone isn't activated yet, but the option should still be there.) I did a search on that as well and did find a couple threads about it, but neither really contain an answer to the problem. How do I fix it? I'll be pretty sad if I can't do MMS with this phone.

Jul 11, 2015I've had my s6 for about 3 months now and this is the first problem that i have encountered. So i was using my s6 edge on the way to work and it was working fine as usual, got in and put my stuff in my locker and started work. When i had finished i went to use my phone and the screen stayed black but i have the blue LED blinking slowly so the phone must still have power.
I have tried holding the power button down for varying periods of time which done nothing also holding the power button home and volume down buttons done nothing. I have tried plugging The phone into the charger and the red LED indicating that it is charging does not turn on, it is the same result noi matter which phone charger i use or which socket i use. Also if i try plugging it directly into my pc it is not detected.

Nov 9, 2015My fingerprint feature was working fine...then suddenly it wasn't. I have the same fingers today that I had yesterday. So I'm then prompted to change my password via gmail. Did that. Didn't work. Tried hundreds of times now and I'm never prompted to try through gmail again. Logged into my Google Device Manager and Sprint told me (via another phone) I should see an option to UNLOCK the device, yet, only the LOCK option appears as if the phone is lost. Tried that new numeric code set using GDM...doesn't work. I refuse to factory reset.

Jun 14, 2015So I've never dropped my s6 edge. It's only 20 days old in fact. However today all of a sudden the touch screen will not work. The two bottom buttons work as does the fingerprint work so I can unlock the phone and see the home screen but not do anything else. Typically if battery pull to fix something like this, however of course this is not possible on the s6.
So I've held the power button for 30 secs and it won't turn off cos it wants me too press the screen power off button, I've tried restarting it by booting it into download mode.

May 10, 2015For some reason, I cannot get the weather to show up on the edge screen along with the time and date.
What I've tried:
* Going to Settings > Edge Screen > Information Stream (switched to on) > Weather (with Edge screen switched to "On")
* Going to the Weather Widget > More > Settings > Edge Screen set to on and Use Current Location set to on as well.
The odd thing is that I did see the weather show up on the edge screen just once before, but how to get it back again.

Jan 2, 2016I don't miss a lot of things about my moto x, but I do miss that you could access the home screen by just pressing the power/side button, so long it was within the time frame that the screen automatically locked. Is there a way to do that on the galaxy s6? I hate to have to swipe the lock screen every time, if I need to access the phone again within the period that the screen does not automatically lock.

Nov 23, 2015My s6 edge screen just went dark after a phone call. the touch and everything works. I can receive calls. I know how to pick calls since I just have to swipe at the bottom so I know the touch works and everything works. I get notification tones too. I tried to shut it off and maybe start it again but I don't know how to do it since i'll have to confirm by tapping the screen which I cant see anything on.
I have done the volume keys and home key tricks. phone restarts perfectly but with a blank / black screen like before. it was hot but now cool. screen is still off. I left to charge earlier before the fateful call so I don't know if maybe its over charged. but it seems everything is working but I cant see anything on my screen. its as if the phone has been switched off screen wise.

Nov 21, 2015The past few weeks whenever I make a call the call screen disappears. The bar at the top of the screen is green and my call is still active, but dragging down the screen shows no menu to hang up, mute, or speaker like it did in the past. Also I hit the recent programs button and there's no window for my call. I hit the phone button and there's nothing. The call will still show up in the log once we hang up. I literally cannot hang up without shutting off my phone. I can't mute my microphone or toggle speakerphone.
