Nov 17, 2014Any way to "lock" the main screen during a phone call? My wife's S5 screen changes to a clock or other application while she is talking on the phone. I believe her cheek may be hitting the screen. The sensitivity setting is down. I am trying to find a setting to lock the screen while on the phone.

Dec 7, 2015Almost every day my phone is very slow to respond, hangs (like Windows XP used to do), the screen won't stay on long enough for me to swipe my security pattern, etc. It's very aggravating and had been for the last two phones (HTC DNA, Samsung S6 Edge) and in very close to jumping ship to either Apple or Microsoft (ugh, I shudder at the thought).
What can I do to find out what is affecting my phone or is this something I can expect from an Android phone on the Verizon network?

So when I lock my phone, the screen SHOULD lock too, but it still clicks when I touch it which is bad because I have actually called people while it is in my pocket hitting my leg. Is there a reason for the screen not locking?

Jul 30, 2010I am pretty sure I am not the only one with this problem, and that the problem has been reported right here on these forums before.
Is there any fix? I have both a e71 and a e72 (the e71 LCD screen stopped working, I ordered a LCD replacement and am yet to try it out). Is there anyway I can take the e72's innards and put it in the exterior of the e71?
Why does this happen? My firmware is updated (Ovi Suite says mine is the latest), I have tried soft rebooting, hard rebooting, factory reset, hard reset, whatever possible "standard" solutions. Is there any real solution at all? It's kind of annoying especially for fast typers!
Moto X Pure :: Cast Screen Lagging - Sound Skips
Sep 23, 2015Upgraded from my 2013 Moto X. I use the cast screen feature to play music onto my Samsung smart TVs. Same internet access (UVerse). Never had an issue with screen lagging or sound skipping, even when using the 2013 Moto X for other activities while music is playing. With the new XPE it's horrible, even when it's just sitting on my desk. Is my WiFi direct not set up properly? I also feel my Google drive and Yahoo email app are incredibly slow now. I don't want to return this otherwise great phone, but it's not performing how I thought it would.

Jan 19, 2010I haven't figured out why but when I have music playing while the phone is in my pocket, it seems to preview or skip songs after a couple seconds. Does it have something to do with my trouser snake messing with the touch screen?
It makes that beeping noise when songs change the moment it's in my pocket. I thought the screen was finger touch sensitive. What's going on? How do I stop this?

Apr 23, 2015I just got the Galaxy S6 which of course is running Lollipop. One of the features I used all the time on my iPhone was the ability to skip forward/back while listening to music (e.g. Pandora, Rhapsody, Music Player, etc.). I'm afraid to ask but am I to understand this functionality does NOT work on this phone/OS??? If so, how can I get around this? I do not want to root the phone nor do I want to be forced to use apps that require me to play music stored on the phone. I have subscriptions to Pandora and Rhapsody for a reason.

Sep 27, 2015So I've been using file properties and windows media player to organise my music library and after the initial struggle of changing from iPhone to Samsung the last 10 months have been a breeze. Last week I decided to play around with some of the album art for albums that were showing up blurred in my lock screen. After changing a lot with Album Art Grabber, none of the current offending files, I checked to see the results and a few were still blurred so I decided to scrap that idea and with too many to pick through I just simply removed all music files and then but everything back to on my phone via drag and drop as per usual. Then I noticed there were around 40 tracks being read as <unknown> artist and a few were the track titles aren't being read also. Everywhere other than on my phone the tracks are correct and perfectly organised. I managed to get this number down to 21 but for the last week I've been having trouble trying to rectify the remaining tracks to no avail.
When things like this happen I wish I had an iPhone still but right now I would just really like to go back to last Sunday and not do what I did.
I've tried a couple of apps to edit tags from the play store but that hasn't worked at all.

Sep 2, 2011I have just started to have this problem after using sync for about a year (so I know what I am doing).However, when syncing music from windows media player to my 6303i it shuffles the tracks, they all come down but not in the right order.I know that you can shuffle music to the phone using the 'shuffle music to my phone' button on the sync tab, but I have not done this!I drag and drop loads of albums to the sync pane on the right and click 'start sync', they all transfer over without errors.When I open the album on my phone the tracks are not in the correct order.Is this a phone problem or WMP?I have checked all the options in WMP and there is not shuffle sync option that I can see.

Apr 4, 2012My E7 is screen is freezing up after a phone call or just after general use. It keeps happening every day. I must force a power rebooot to get the phone working again. I have called Nokia and have exhusted every option which included reloading Bella. Last resort is Nokia want's me to send my phone to Texas for a tech to investagate the problem. I think there is some kind of software problem with the locking of the phone screen and the locking switch logic on the side of the phone. When the problem happens the sceen will not work to my touch. The sceen freezes without touching.

If i hit the lock button again it opens straight into the messages.If i lock again the samething happens. If i hut the home button it opens straight into messages again. Jun 15, 2012I have had a Blackberry Torch 9800 for 12 months and I removed it from my vehicles "Hands Free Kit" and put it in my phone holder on my belt. When I removed the phone from my holder, the screen was black and frozen and none of the button worked, not even the touch screen. The phone works correctly if I open the slide but shuts off when I close the slide again. When the slide is opened I have no on screen typing and have to use the keyboard on the slide. When I put the phone back in my hands free kit, the slide needs to be closed so I cannot answer any calls or use the touch screen.

After downloading an application from App World, when you run the application for the first time, it will ask you if you want to "share personal information." Whether it is checked or unchecked, the screen just freezes up after clicking "OK."
This is a brand new device and I am already experiencing several screen lock up issues. I have already done a hard / soft reset, as well as a battery pull. I have also uninstalled the application and re-installed it, only to have this issue continue.

I have noticed though you hang up the call when pressing the powerbutton, with this setting i cant lock the screen while in a call with headphones. Sep 5, 2014My iphone 5 keeps randomly locking, and even prompts to turn itself off. When hovering my finger over the lock screen button, it does the exactly the same thing.. without even touching it. However, the button works! It clicks when pressed so its not an issue with the actual button.

Mar 9, 2012Every time I flip open my phone, it takes anywhere from 5 to 30 seconds to respond. The clock will still be showing the time from when I last used it. Took the phone to Sprint and they fixed it for a couple weeks, but they said if it starts happening again I would have to deal with Blackberry.

My first issue is - as part of policy, I must have a strong password and my phone auto locks after 30 minutes. When I make calls, even 3 second phone calls, the phone will lock after I hang up.
My second issue is kind of linked to the first - when my phone is connected to my Sony Car Stereo, it disables the keyboard so I cannot type (obviously a safety feature), which is fine because I do not drive and text/email etc. except that after I take a call, I cannot unlock my phone to allow me to make another call.

Also, I'm using the 'You Tube' app that came with the phone and whenever i try to watch a video, it takes ages to buffer then plays about 3 seconds before buffering again. Is this normal?
