View 2 Replies View RelatedI have seen many reviews claiming that it is nearly impossible to use the fingerprint scanner one handed. I have successfully setup the scanner with both my thumbs and my right index finger. When I setup my thumbs, I just scanned my thumb over the sensor sideways (the natural position of your thumb when holding the phone one handed). Now whenever I unlock my phoneI just do a quick swipe down with my thumb and it work 90% of the time. When it doesn't work is when I am not covering the entire home button with my thumb.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have recently updated my HTC One X to Android 4.1.1. Since the update, whenever i connect to a computer via USB, the phone is automatically going into USB Debugging Mode. The never used to happen before the update. Earlier it used to give me options about what I want to do when a USB is connected.I have tried disabling Debugging option from "developer options" in setting. It does not work. As soon as I connect it next time, it goes into debugging mode.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm a web developer wanting to debug web pages inside the Xoom web browser.I have a particular issue in which I have a page with a number of <select> lists, the first two lists allow me to choose values but the remaining lists do not - even though I know the lists contain values. I'm guessing that this could be a WebKit bug but am hoping there are some simple debug tools to assist me, similar to Google Chrome, but I have no idea where to find them. about:debug doesn't help much and view-source: doesn't work.
Have tried using Opera Mobile browser and the lists works without a problem and have tried Firefox but this was too buggy to test. Dolphin seems to exhibit the same issues as the default Xoom browser so I'm gessing it uses the same version of WebKit.Getting this working is a crucial part of my system and I do not want to recommend that the customer use iPads to get the most reliable web functionality. So, are there any debugging tools for web pages available on the Xoom?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI don't know why, but the xperia active is bugging me. When I connect the phone with USB-Debugging turned off everything works fine. The PC Companion software and Windows explorer recognize the device, but when I turn on USB-Debugging (which I need because I want to test my self-programmed Android apps) the device gets disconnected instantly and I cannot select it as a target device for debugging in Eclipse. In the device manager of Windows under "Other devices" there's an entry labeled "ST17i" which seems to be the phone, but there's the yellow warning icon which indicates that no driver is installed. However, when I right-click and choose to update the driver, Windows doesn't find any driver online.I even looked for a driver here url... but apparently there's no driver for the xperia active. The Android Version is 4.0.4 (got the phone today and updated it) and my PC OS is Windows 7

View 6 Replies View RelatedThe Galaxy S6 has a stunning, 5.1-inch display and you can have more than one app on it at the same time using the split screen function. All you have to do is hold down the apps or multitasking button at the bottom left for a couple of seconds. The bottom half of the screen will display a menu of apps you can choose from and the top half will go on displaying whatever it was displaying. If you want to change the space allocated, drag the icon in the middle up or down. You can also access more options, such as the option to flip, window, or close apps, by tapping on the circle.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 updated to Android Version 5.0 (KitKat).
Currently when I press the Power Button, the screen goes black. But it does not lock the screen.
I have the screen lock set to 30 seconds. But even so, there are lots of times when I have put the phone in my pocket and it accidentally it the home button before the 30 seconds is up and random apps get launched as my phone bounces around in my pocket.
So I would like to be able to press the power button and immediately have the screen lock. I was able to do this on my original Galaxy Nexus. But I cannot figure out how to do this on my Samsung.
I did some google searches and I found many many posts that said "go into settings, select lock screen, scroll to the very bottom and click the option to enable lock on power button."
The problem is, when I go into the Lock Screen settings and scroll down to the very bottom, I don't see any such option. So, how to enable the Power Button to immediately lock my phone?
