Dec 23, 2011The Xperia Mini Pro is advertised as having this excellent feature called Smart Keyboard where, when you slide out the hardware keyboard, it enables you immediately to start typing an SMS or email or search phrase or whatever. However, despite having "Enable smart keyboard" checked in Settings -> Sony Ericsson, this has never worked for me - either from the normal Sony Ericsson Home launcher or any other, either with stock firmware or with subsequent updates (currently on 4.0.2.A.0.58). Sliding out the hardware keyboard just unlocks the phone, that's it. Interestingly, this promised feature is also mentioned as not working in this review of the SK17i's big brother, the Xperia Pro.

Dec 30, 2015I have a new Huawei Android smart watch and I enabled Smart Lock so that as long as the phone and watch were connected by Bluetooth the phone would remain unlocked. If they are not connected, my fingerprint would unlock the phone. But enabling Smart Lock seems to have no effect - the phone remains locked when connected to the watch. I have rebooted the phone multiple times after turning off security and Smart Lock then turning them both back on after rebooting.

Apr 16, 2014I have experienced this feature on my gfs S4 so I know how it is supposed to work, but I have smart alerts turned on in the settings of my S5 but they do not seem to be working. I have not tested it with a missed called yet, but it says it works with messages and other notifications but it does not vibrate when I pick it up. Are there any other settings that might be affecting this? I do have the vibration turn on and up pretty high, and I even enabled vibrate during ringing just to be safe.

Jan 11, 2016So I have had an iphone 4 for years now, its jailbroken and has been my main phone forever. However I needed an upgrade badly, so I purchased an unlocked galaxy s6. I have so much data on the old iphone I must move, contacts, pictures, music, and I dont use icloud. So I purchased an otg cable, which worked perfectly for transferring data off of my ipad, but not my iphone.
When I connect the iphone to my galaxy, it pulls up smart switch. However it stays on the "connecting to ios device" screen. When I pull the notifications bar down on my galaxy, it says "camera connected". So my question is how can I prevent my galaxy s6 from recognizing the iphone as a camera, so smart switch can connect to it to transfer my data?

The phone will continually ask you for a fingerprint or pattern to unlock in trusted locations.
This is a important selling point for the device that does not work.

Jun 14, 2015I now have a S6 and so far it is not rooted. The one thing I miss a lot is the ability to "completely" remove all ads. AdAway does a great job but you need to be rooted to use it. Ad Blocker tries but does not get all the ads . Of all the things I miss by not rooting this is at the top of my list.

Sep 15, 2015I currently have Galaxy S6 G920FD. I prevously I am on 5.0.2 with CSC:GLB (Country:Philippines, Network:Globe). I successfuly flashed the French 5.1.1 ROM. Now I flashed back to my native Globe 5.1.1. Problem is the CSC is Thailand and not Globe. How do I change the CSC without root? Tried going to Recovery mode doing full cache wipe and full reset but still it sets the Thailand CSC.
