Aug 31, 2015I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 updated to Android Version 5.0 (KitKat).
Currently when I press the Power Button, the screen goes black. But it does not lock the screen.
I have the screen lock set to 30 seconds. But even so, there are lots of times when I have put the phone in my pocket and it accidentally it the home button before the 30 seconds is up and random apps get launched as my phone bounces around in my pocket.
So I would like to be able to press the power button and immediately have the screen lock. I was able to do this on my original Galaxy Nexus. But I cannot figure out how to do this on my Samsung.
I did some google searches and I found many many posts that said "go into settings, select lock screen, scroll to the very bottom and click the option to enable lock on power button."
The problem is, when I go into the Lock Screen settings and scroll down to the very bottom, I don't see any such option. So, how to enable the Power Button to immediately lock my phone?

Apr 27, 2014I just got my S5. I am trying to add a much needed added layer of security to the device through either a password or finger print. I have gone through the process of enabling both, each time when I return the lock screen it is not enabled?? Settings clear show it is on.
I restarted the device, upon restart the finger print scanner was enabled upon restart. but once i return back to the lock screen it is gone. Why they wont stay enabled or enable at all?
Figured out it was set to only enable after 10 mins of no activity.

May 7, 2012I have recently enabled 3G in mom's Galaxy S2. Now in order to make 3G or GPRS work, the user has to enable "Packet Data" in the Settings>Wireless & Network. In mom's case that "Enable Packet Data" check box automatically gets unchecked after few minutes.
1) Does it got something to do with the power saving settings?
2) Or does the anti-virus software or battery defender automatically unchecks it?
3) Or is it a virus / bug?

I have installed OneDrive app, but the pictures there don’t appear in the Gallery app. Also – the Photos app (Google's app) show the photos from Picasa that I haven’t thought about in years, but it also doesn't show the pictures from OneDrive and the pictures that are on my device aren’t shown in the main view as well – I have to switch to "Device folders" to see them.
