I did a backup of stock, with TWRP, but can I just restore it or do I need to flash stock firmware with Odin first? (I'm on XtreStoLite right now).
Just don't want to brick it, so unsure if I can just restore, or I need to remove the custom rom before restoring.

Jan 29, 2013just picked up an S2 from sprint as a replacement for HTC Evo.Great phone all around, however i`m having one issue. HTC Sense UI has an option to preview messages(2lines) and missed calls right(who and time) on lock screen. This is really handy option with small kids around you dont have to unlock your phone.Since S2 is missing that I've downloaded Notify App which works great.However - I cannot turn off stock notifications - they still show up - so at this time I have to clear notifications twice - once in App and once in Notifications Bar. Is there a way of turning off stock notifications (without custom ROM)? On all other phones i had - there was an option to go to Settings Privacy and uncheck the notifications. This is missing on S2 - all i can see under privacy is Reset to Factory.I really like the phone and how smooth it is. At this point i really dont want to do a custom ROM (`ill root it if need it)

I didn't like it because it didn't support my gear VR and I went back to Lollipop. Now I have the UK version installed on my phone and I can't get rid of the Android 6.0 beta OTA software update notification.
So I would like to flash the Nordic countries firmware but my pc is broken and I don't have admin permissions for my pc at work. It there a way to flash it without a pc?

Jan 2, 2016I am using samsung s6 with mtk 6589 cpu. What i did is i wanted to root it but failed because odin cannot detect the phone.So,i hard reset the phone and reboot it.After reboot it, my imei is gone ,wifi mac address is gone, bluetooth address also gone.
And also, my phone doesn't show its model number it put there ''Android''. Before i hard reset it, the model number is SM-G9200.
What I am planning to do is downloading the stockrom from samMobile and flash it :/ i wonder if this will work since it is an MTK phone. Odin cant detect my phone.

Jul 12, 2015Changing the default search engine in the stock browser doesn't work in new tabs?
For instance, I'll change the default search engine to Bing. That tab will use Bing for searches. If I open a new tab or close and reopen the app, it will use Google for searches again.
I'm using the AT&T S6 with latest 5.0.2 firmware.

Sep 25, 2014I've had my M8 for about a week. Everything seemed to be working pretty well until yesterday. All of a sudden videos in the stock browser and the Facebook app won't play anymore. In the FB app it just gives a warning that the video could not be played. In the browser when I tap on the play button it just goes straight to the collage of videos like the end of youtube videos.
