Apr 28, 2015I have a couple phones. Well, quite a few. It started when I could not download books to the Turbo. It just put an exclamation point in the title and says sorry, try again later. I try again later for several days, and nothing changes. On the other hand everything works fine on my other phones, and I can log into Amazon no problem. So I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Kindle.
This is not a complete uninstall of course since Kindle is pre-installed and unless you root, you're stuck with it. But after I uninstalled the updates it still would not work. So I nuked from orbit by wiping the phone and reinstalling Kindle (well, updating the built-in version). Well, THAT changed it. Now it won't take the password. It allows me to CHANGE the password, and I did that. But even after changing it (successfully it said) and verifying that the new PW worked on another phone and on my laptop, it still won't take it. It says that username/password combination does not exist.
IPhone :: Cannot Download Apps, Music Or Books From The ITunes Store?
Mar 21, 2012Since I updated to 5.1 on my iPhone 3Gs, I keep getting problems with the updated OS. I can't download apps, music or books from the iTunes store, it's very hit and miss. It is pointless having a pin upon wake up of the phone as all you have to do to get past the pin is by swiping the camera button up to by-pass it. The battery life has dramatically dropped from lasting a couple of days with everyday use to around 9 hours. The signal from the network has dropped from 3 bars on 3G to 4 bars on GPRS, and finally apps keep crashing and exit themselves to the home screen.
I have rang my network (O2UK) and they have said that they have had serveral reports of Apple products having these bugs since the release of 5.1, and saying that nothing has changed in terms of te settings and masts near me, but they advised me to check my network settings and if they are different from what O2's website said (they were the same). So why are there so many bugs with 5.1? I can't download any apps at all and my battery is worse?

I'm not talking about the camera app, I mean from apps like Tumblr. I don't want to keep transfering my pictures to another folder. When I was logged into the store I noted a link at the bottom marked my orders and devices. So being the nosey type I clicked and then find it shows three books as being downloaded, Alice in Wonderland, Treasure Island and the 3 Musketeers which I had no knowledge of. When I looked on my phone in the play book app there were the books !Where did they come from as, up til now, I haven't ordered or installed anything - still getting used to the phone first before I go down that line.Can someone tell me how this happened or where the books pre-loaded with the original gingerbread or did it come when I upgraded to ICS last week? It bothered me a little as was more concerned about the potential for things being loaded without my knowledge.

May 6, 2015I am running the Kindle App on my Galaxy S5. Suddenly, today, books can be read only in landscape mode and will not rotate back to portrait. The app itself (screen showing available books) rotates fine, as does everything else. It's just that reading a book is locked in landscape mode.
Not sure what happened, but it was working fine the last time I tried it. I've been looking for an "unlock" item for reading in the app, but cannot find one.
How I get auto-rotate (or even manual rotate) back for reading a book?

Jun 24, 2015I would like to do a factory reset on my Galaxy s5. While attempting to back-up files on my SD card I realized...I don't have an SD card. The problem with this is that my device shows many apps installed on the SD card (Settings->Device->Applications->Application manager shows apps on SD card).
There is nothing in the microSD card slot above the SIM card slot on the back of my phone. Is there another location for an SD card that I am not aware of and not seeing? If not, how is my phone reading that there are apps stored on the SD card when there is no SD card?

Oct 30, 2011We bought a Xoom to use on vacation instead of taking a laptop. I want to download photos and videos taken with my Canon Camera into my Xoom. I have the adapter for the Canon that allow me to convert the SDHD to a Micro SD, so that I can pop in ito the Xoom. I can view the photos fronm the Canon card on the Xoom, but it won't let me download them into the device. I don't want to have to go thru a computer to do this. So is it possible to download from the SD card onto the Xoom.
Also, when we watch the videos that were recorded on the Canon with the Xoom, they are at a slowed down speed. Would seem that if they were actually downloaded to the Xoom, it would take care of this issue.
I do not want to use the Xoom to take these photos. My Canon camera is the device we will use to capture the photos for multiple reasons.

May 8, 2011I installed the CoPilot GPS App a couple of days ago - Maps are stored onboard.
I notice now that the map stored to my phones internal memory rather than to my SD card - I don't recall the app asking me where to store the map.
Must I change a phone setting to accomplish this going forward? I found this in settings under Windows Media Sync:
Settings / SD card and phonestorage / Storage location - then I am presented the opiton of choosing internal phone storage or SD card.
But I still wouldn't consider a GPS map to be "Windows Media" in need of a sync (?)

Last week Meteor starting supporting Blackberrys but i have no service books on my phone for Internet or MMS. I can't log into Meteor or Orange BIS website to get the service books and i don't have E-mail Setup on the handset to get them that way either. I have rang Meteor and Orange and neither seem to know how to get my Internet and MMS up and running. I don't think that it has anything to do with Orange anyway seeing as the phone is unlocked and I've been using it on the Meteor network for the past year just without certain functions. I've tried a battery pull and I've tried the Register Now function through the Host Routing Table option. Nothing seems to work and it's really starting to bother me.
