Apr 29, 2015S6. When I click on my profile in the contacts app, it only lists my name and nothing else. There's another contact in the list with all of my detailed info, but there's no way for me to merge the two. My N5 would update my personal info based on my Google+ profile, but my S6 apparently isn't doing anything.

Sep 2, 2015I am facing a bit of an irritating problem on my samsung galaxy s6. When I go to phone -> 1-9 keyboard and use it for the letters (2=a,b,c; 3=d,e,f, etc.), I can easily find the number I need. The problem is that for most of my contacts, when I click them, a second window pops up, asking me exactly which number for this contact I'd like to dial. Now.... I don't have a second number for any of my contacts.
When I go and check them in the contacts menu, they only show one mobile number per contact. When the window thingy pops up, it always shows multiple options of the same exact number, or maybe the same number with some spacings added / removed between the digits. In the following link you can find a screenshot that I took, where I have a choice between three same numbers: [URL] ....
I am 99% sure that the problem is because of google contacts, viber, whatsapp, etc., but do not know how to fix it without removing the contact from the app.

The message goes away and my phone goes back to home screen. I can't make any calls. I can receive a call and text. When I text the contact list comes up, but not when I try to make a call. Apr 4, 2010I've just gotten a Bold 9700 and noticed that even though I have the option to sync the profile pictures of my friends with my contacts profiles on the phone, the pictures for my phone contacts remain blank. The Facebook profiles are linked to my contacts and sometimes will show the Facebook profile picture but after a while the picture reverts to a blank icon again. I've also unselected the option to sync and re-enabled the option to update Blackberry contacts with my Facebook contacts to try and force the pictures to update but no success.
I was thinking that it might also be because of a conflict wiyth other apps trying to update the contact pictures seeing as I originally imported all my contatcs from my Gmail account but I am unable to figure out which other apps, if any, are updating contact pics and thereby turn them off.
Blackberry contacts linked to a LinkedIn profile show their LinkedIn profile pics correctly though and other than that I only have BB Messenger, GTalk, Windows Live Messenger and Facebook that are linked to my Blackberry contacts.Any ideas on how I can get my contacts' pictures to sync correctly with Facebook?

I know I can change them individually under edit contact. But I have few hundreds of contact. And I dowant to scan through each of them.

We've recently switched over from Sprint to AT&T (very relieved!) and ported our numbers. We upgraded from HTC Evo 4g LTE's to Galaxy s6's. I have one contact who is also on the AT&T network and for some reason cannot receive any texts from her, either SMS or MMS. She has an iPhone (not sure if 5 or 6). She can receive my text and reply, and it appears to her that they are sent but I never receive them. Here is what we have tried so far:
1. Contacted AT&T tech support. He rebroadcasted my number just in case.
2. AT&T tech checked that all three numbers were ported correctly
3. AT&T tech had me call my friend from my wife's phone and we all three had a convo via speaker phone and tested between my wife's phone and my friends phone, both SMS and MMS with pictures worked fine.
4. Checked that I didn't have her contact blocked in any way.
5. Tried having her turn off iMessage and text, nothing. Tried having her send as SMS, nothing.
6. We deleted each others contact and re-added, nothing.
7. I called AT&T porting (they have their own number) he checked and everything was ported correctly and finalized.
8. probably tried a couple of other things but to no avail
Other than this issue, the phones are fantastic, the network is fantastic.

Feb 16, 2015I bought a Galaxy s5 & the Vodafone bloke tried to copy my contacts from my Galaxy Y to my Galaxy s5. I am not 100% sure the method he used but now on my new galaxy s5 i only have a list of contact NAMES but no numbers with those names. On my galaxy Y i only have numbers with NO names!
I've left my phone with them for 4 days now & they can't resolve the issue. They said that i have a VCR file.
Galaxy S5 :: Can't Delete Old Messages With One Contact
Jan 2, 2015So for the past while the stock messaging app has been slow, particularly with one contact. I have near 8000 texts with this person in the thread and that is most obviosly the issue. The thing is, it now won't let me delete the thread.
I've tried deleting from messages screen (clicking the contact), from within the thread (select all>delete) and by using message deletion apps. It always results in either the phone completely freezing or the app becoming impossible to use, forcing me to restart the phone. I've also cleared the app data+cache and disabled/enabled the app.
The only thing now as far as I know is to manually delete the messages in small amounts (anything 100 or more tends to freeze the phone). This is clearly time consuming and annoying. Is there anything else I can try?

When I call somebody or somebody calls me I see only small contact picture in the circle. On S5 I had the image on half screen. I have Galaxy S6, my friend has Edge and there id the picture bigger.
