I recently bought the Samsung Galaxy S6. I am having issues with group messaging. I have a few group messages with people who all use iPhones. When I reply to the group, each person receives an individual message.

So on my G3, if i got a text sent to me and say 2 other people from 1 person, it would turn into a group messaging MMS. Then any text i send goes to all parties.
I can send a group text but the replies come individually. Which sucks because i dont know who is in the group.
How to Group message with iPhone users. I can send a group message two 2 iPhone users and they receive it but I never get their reply. I have had my galaxy for 8 days and I am going to return if I can't solve this. I really like this phone but I have to have group messaging. I have checked message settings under multimedia I have group messaging checked.

I disabled iMessage before I switched, had AT&T update the system and I still can't receive group messages and images from other iPhone users.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI can't receive group texts from one of my contacts. Regular texting works fine, I just can't see her replies in group messaging. She can see mine. Already checked settings and everything there is normal. Group messaging is on, so is iMessage.

I currently have an iPhone 5 and have a group chat with other iOS users. One user is overseas so can only use WiFi to chat. I'm planning to get the S6 in April, but have been confused over whether or not I can group chat with just the messaging apps provided. My parents both have the S5 and when they group chat me using the Verizon Messenger app, it works just fine. However, I've heard from others that the texts come through separately, or that its just impossible to group chat with iOS users. We've talked about using other apps like Hangouts, etc, but those tend to drain batteries faster.
After doing some more research, I read that the Verizon messenger app lets you chat via WiFi, but will that jive with iMessage? I don't want another iPhone and I'm very excited about the S6, but its just frustrating not being sure if we can keep our group chat up.
When i go to the settings of my Messages App, then Multimedia Messages, I don't see the "Group messages" text box.
I only have :
- Delivery reports
- read reports
- Auto retrieve
- Roaming auto retrieve
- Set restrictions
- MMS Alert
How come i don't have Group messaging like other people ?
How group message replies are supposed to function when you reply to a group text but uncheck the "group conversation" box. When I uncheck the box is everyone still supposed to receive my reply but just in a separate thread to them only via SMS?
View 1 Replies View RelatedSince the Lollipop update (I know, I know...) my group text messages haven't been downloading. Sometimes I'll see the MMS trying to download but it just times out and I never see it.
But then tonight I found out that I wasn't receiving any text messages from my roommates. The individually sent texts would come through but not the group ones.
Verizon ended up having me do a hard reset and it still didn't work.
The kicker though, my roommates turned off the iMessage/turn to regular SMS on their iPhones and app future text messages started coming through.
But I wasn't getting text messages from others with Androids too. It seems to be only on group messages though.
I have a Galaxy S6, a lot of my friends have IPhones... They are sending group messages with me included but I'm not receiving anything.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI switched from an iPhone to the S5 in mid december and have had issues with getting texts. I have read a lot about it, so I shut off iMessage on my mac and even disabled my number with iMessage on Apple's site. However, I am still not receiving some texts from iPhones. If they send a text just to me i get it fine (even though they may have to click send as a text message) but I won't be able to get it in a group text. It is frustrating because I can see some texts but not all of them. This has been happening for over a month now.
View 6 Replies View RelatedCrossed over from an iphone 4s to an Lg G4 7 days ago. Love the phone but trying to group text between me and my iphone buddies is proving very difficult. I cant see their original responses in the group, instead only see individual responses. Initiating a group text results in only my buddies seeing only my response and no one else.
I've deregistered my phone number from apples website a couple days ago and even days earlier turned off imessaging on my old device but still get the same results. I downloaded and installed textra made it my default messaging app, turned on the group mms option still same thing. I've even told my friends to delete my contact information on their phones and wait for a group text from me; same result. What more can i do? I dont think telling them to turn off imessaging on their end is fair because all their text messages to other iphones will be sent not using imessage. What more can i do?
Could it be possible that the way my contacts are setup is screwing up my group messaging? Or is this strictly an ios glitch on apples side? How do you all go about setting up group texts and can you name a group text? My group name is always "3" standing for the 3 other recipients that i send the message to. Is there no way to rename this?
I just switched to the LG G3 from the iPhone 5, so did my husband. We regularly group message 2 iPhone users, so when we tried to start a new conversation, my husband can see all the messages but I can not. Sometimes I'll get a new text from "Anonymous" saying "message not found" and it seems like it happens when my husband messages the group. Why is it functioning properly for his phone, but not mine? This morning I got the same message from Anonymous and my husband did not text the group, so now I'm obviously missing out on messages!! This is so frustrating! I have iMessages turned off on my old iPhone, the iPhone users have group text and SMS turned on on their phones, they've reentered our contacts, we're using the stock messaging app on the LG. I don't know what to do. And it's totally inconvenient to ask all my iPhone using friends to text through WhatsApp or any other app.

I recently switched from an iphone 4 to an LG G3 and have been unable to consistently receive group messages from iphone users. Sometimes messages will come through, but about 95% of the time I do not receive them; however, the people in my group do receive my messages. I am aware that this is a common issue among Android users, and I have read about it extensively online for weeks now, but I still have not come up with a solution. I have tried using multiple different messaging apps including the default messaging app, chomp sms, textra, hangouts, etc. I have also turned off imessages on my old phone, typed in the code for Apples "unsubscribe" from imessage thing, and texted STOP to the number to disable imessages.
I am running the latest version of Android. I also replaced my old SIM but still no luck. MMS group message settings are all enabled on my phone too. I didn't see a post about this in regards to the LG G3 specifically so I decided to make one. I have heard suggestions of people saying to tell your iphone friends to adjust settings on their phones, but I wanted to find a solution without having to tell all of my friends to mess with their settings to accommodate me. I absolutely love everything about my new android phone after making the switch from Apple, but this one problem is seemingly large that I hope it doesn't force me to go back to an iphone.
Recently while planning a Golf event for family Easter, I inadvertently included the wrong Mike as initiator of a group text. It was well past 10 messages before I realized the error. How do I remove that recipient and include the correct person?

GALAXY S6 MMS GROUP MESSAGE PROBLEM
When I receive a multimedia group text, the texts only show the originators number and not the other Group numbers.
This phone is a SAMSUNG GALAXY 6, using Android 5.0.2
Other suggested truning on Group Conversation or Group Messaging in the settings , but that option does not appear.
The instructions I received are below , but like I said, it did not show up on the settings.Is there a difference in the Android versions that would cause the menu to be different or the setting to located somewhere else?
1.) Go to main screen
2.) Go to messages
3.) tap MORE AT TOP RIGHT OF SCREEN
4.) SELECT Settings
5.) SELECT MORE SETTINGS
6.) SELECT MULTIMEDIA MESSAGES
7.) TURN GROUP CONVERSATION ON
After creating a group on the people page, when you try to send an sms to the group, the message does not get sent. The messages do go when they are sent individually.
