I flashed 5.1.1 a few days ago and it has been pretty bad, for some reason whenever I flash France firmwares, my mobile data gets capped to 67 kb/s max, it doesn't happen at all on any other firmware I try, I tried settings, apn's etc, nothing has worked, now i want to flash back to 5.0.2, I downloaded four 5.0.2 firmwares and none of them work, apparently you cannot downgrade with odin (?), Is there any way out of 5.1.1?
View 5 RepliesAround a week ago I used a friends 'selfie stick'. The same day I was walking around Windsor and noted that the phone had powered down. I tried pressing the power key, but the phone did not turn on. I took the battery out, replaced it and then the phone came back on.
The problem now seems to reoccur when I have put my phone in my back pocket and either walk some distance, or keep it in my back pocket in the car (for some reason).
My phone is currently rooted, with a different kernel and running deodexed XtreStoLite. How to go back to stock? I want to trade my phone in soon at T-Mobile and I know they'll notice the phone is rooted, since it says "kernel is not seandroid enforcing" when booting up. Everything works fine, though. I know in most people's case that text only shows for bootloop, but mine works fine.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy S5 is rebooting when I tap the back of it. I've checked the battery, swapped batteries, and tried multiple back covers. I first noticed the problem when it was laying face up in my truck and started rebooting only while driving. I figured it must of been the vibration, so I tapped the back of it with my hand and it restarted. Especially when I tap the camera lense. If I place it down on a hard surface face up it reboots too. This will be my fourth S5 in 7 months..

If I go to another app, it starts alternating with the notification screen. It is nearly impossible to power off because it is on the screen so briefly, it is hard to tap and have it register.

Downloading UK 920F firmware gives me a zip file with 5 different files. Are there any particular order I must flash them with odin?
I have installed unikernel on my g925t s6 edge regular edge. Now i need to revert to stock kernel but i can't. If i do a fresh install of the latest build OI1 from odin the flash procedure complete successfully but the phone after that wont boot because it stuck at Samsung logo powered by android. And when i go to download mode Recovery mode is Samsung official and System status is custom. I tried to factory reset with recovery but nothing.
I have also tried to fully wipe the phone with twrp but nothing. After i flash the official lastest build with odin the system status is still custom and the phone is stuck at Samsung logo. I have to flash this kernel again in order to boot the phone. But i need that phone works with stock kernel and stock system. I also did an efs folder wipe, which means i have flashed another efs with odin and after that imei said unknown. Than i have repair imei and have my phone back to function. But i cannot revert to stock...
I flashed to 5.1.1 T-Mobile when it came out, then learned it was a leak and wasn't ready for release yet. Unsurprisingly I'm having issues with System crashing, etc. I tried to flash back to 5.0.2 and I end up in a bootloop.
I'm stuck! The only ROM that seems to work now is 5.1.1, all others get me stuck in a bootloop in which I must use TWRP to flash back to 5.1.1. How to be able to go back to a stable 5.0.2!

- download latest official firmware (Germany 01.09.2015) from sammobile
- reboot to download mode
- flash firmware via odin
- factory reset
- wipe cache
- reboot

And btw, is the red lettering on the samsung splash screen if u power on your phone gone if i am on stock again or will this never disappear?
I'm going to buy S6 but I would only go for the unlocked/non-carrier version so I'm still waiting. During the time, I try S6/edge several times at Bestbuy and did find something very strange when I swipe the screen left or right. I didn't realize it's the problem(actually I was thinking my finger was too dry) until I tried the S5 right next to it and didn't find anything wrong.
It happens when you swipe left back to Homescreen from magazine app(Flipboard integrated). It's playing animation and don't let you do anything during this animation. So basically if you swipe left twice quickly, it is supposed to go to the second screen on the right but it didn't. That works fine on S5 but not on S6. On S6 the second swipe(or any extra swipe after that but before the animation is over) didn't work and didn't react to your finger until the animation is played completely. I am not sure if it's the problem of display phones or a general problem.
my s6 is new upon 2 days of using it it gave me that problem at random where the back(return) key just works on its own,I brought my phone to the seller and they supposedly fixed it but now im having this issue again,I live in seychelles and I bought this phone from UAE. I cant restart, turn off, use any apps at all, I cant even get into the settings to factory reset anything. I did manage to do a clear up yesterday but it didn't seem to work. View 2 Replies View Relatedi know the back button and menu buttom supposed to be white and i checked with 2 friends of mine that also got the s6 and its white in their phones. also the home button is kinda moving but not so much... when i checked with my friends phone it wasn't moving. you think i should use my warranty for such a stupid thing? also the device is original and not fake. the screen sometimes (it didn't happen me in 5 days and today it happend again) the touchscreen stop responding to my finger for about a second. lets say i want to click an app so when i first clicked it it didn't work but when i tap again it worked. i think this is normal because sometimes you dont press very well.. any way. orange back and menu buttons and tell me if you got it to(inside a house,outdoor its white because of the sun) and the home key that is kinda moving (not so much but a little bit more than my friends does)
