Galaxy S6 :: Downgrading 920F From 6.0 Back To 5.1.1
Jan 9, 2016
I've been using android 6.0 for a while now, but I'm not very fond of it, and I'd like to downgrade back to 5.1.1 stock so I can root and install custom Roms.
I've searched and found nothing, so how do I it?
Downloading UK 920F firmware gives me a zip file with 5 different files. Are there any particular order I must flash them with odin?
I am currently on axism rom which is lollipop 5.0.2 and i wanted to go to 'xtrestolite deo-dexed rom' which is lollipop 5.1.1 and noticed i needed to flash bootloader and modem for 5.1.1 so i did this using odin and now it will not boot i now realize that it says this will not work with a stock kernel which I am guessing the axism rom has so ...

I've flashed 6.01 beta but I don't like the battery and I'd like to go back to 5.1.1, is it safe to downgrade to 5.1.1 and is it possible? If yes, the procedure is normal like flashing 5.1.1 through recovery or is there any special procedure.
Around a week ago I used a friends 'selfie stick'. The same day I was walking around Windsor and noted that the phone had powered down. I tried pressing the power key, but the phone did not turn on. I took the battery out, replaced it and then the phone came back on.
The problem now seems to reoccur when I have put my phone in my back pocket and either walk some distance, or keep it in my back pocket in the car (for some reason).
I updated my Xperia Pro to ICS 3 days back. As a result of that, phone became sluggish and slow. Notification bar icons to the left base dull and small. I want to downgrade back to GingerBread. My warranty has not yet expired.
I was recently advised by a friend to upgrade my Blackberry 9300 Curve 3G from version 5 to version 6. I did this and once the upgrade was complete found that I couldn't stand the new upgrade and couldn't access any of my text messages or anything
I recently upgraded from my Curve to OS6 by accident and I absolutely hate the new software. Im not one for change haha. I have found lots of solutions to this problem only they are all for pc users and I own a mac.
I want to downgrade Skype on my iPhone because the new version incredibly doesn't support checking voicemail. But the ipa file for Skype is mysteriously missing from my backup to iTunes made only a couple months ago. The rest of my iPhone apps are all there. Did iTunes remove it on orders from Microsoft?Â
I recently upgraded my Xperia Neo V OS version from 2.3.4 to 4.0.3. Though the look and feel are fine, after 1 week's use, realized that older version [2.3.4 Gingerbread] is much comfortable.
I upgraded the device software on my Curve 8520 today to the 5.0 Bundle 1626 version and I really don't like it. I tried to do the downgrade to my previous software wirelessly but the phone isn't giving me the option...can anyone walk me thru doing the downgrade using my desktop software?
I recently upgraded to marshmallow and so far it's not going well. Mainly with access to my SD card and external HD. With lollipop I usually use ES File Explorer, no problems transferring media to and from SD card or external. With mm it doesn't allow 3rd party app to access any storage and forces you to use OS. How to go back to lollipop?
I tried this process on a phone with the same firmware and with RSD Lite 4.5.7 and the monster File basically it was a repair job from Rush 1.29.15 however I have a newer phone with firmware 1.29.22 and I tried to downgrade the phone via the same process and it bricked my phone, it wont even power on, ive replaced the battery and even tried to hold down * + # and power it on, its just a steady black screen, so if their are any suggestions id be happy to hear it, also does anyone know how to actually CREATE a monster file from the new Firmware so others wont have the same issue I did?
What is the best way to wipe my device before downgrading the device? Is it possible to downgrade os without wiping?3. Alots of downgrades/upgrades and everything may damage the device some how?Im using windows vista 64bit
i am waiting for the ICS 4.0.4 update for my xperia neo. my SI no. is not in the list yet. but i wanna ask this question. is it possible for me to upgrade to ICS 4.0.4 by first downgrading to the factory default 2.3.1?? the reason im asking this is that ever since i upgraded from 2.3.1 to 2.3.4 i have been getting this O2 operator start-up n shutdown screens on my phone as well as apps like O2 priority moments which i just cant delete. my phone is not network branded in ANY WAY. i dont even use O2 service. i tried uninstalling and reinstalling the 2.3.4 update several times, but the O2 thing never goes off. but wenever i did a factory reset n revert back to the factory default 2.3.1, the phone is fine with no signs of O2. so plz clarify on this. is it ok to downgrade n then upgrade to ICS?
Im trying to downgrade my os on my 8330 from the 4.5 to the 4.3 version but when i try and load the 4.3 version it tell me that the version is not on my desktop manager.
I flashed 5.1.1 a few days ago and it has been pretty bad, for some reason whenever I flash France firmwares, my mobile data gets capped to 67 kb/s max, it doesn't happen at all on any other firmware I try, I tried settings, apn's etc, nothing has worked, now i want to flash back to 5.0.2, I downloaded four 5.0.2 firmwares and none of them work, apparently you cannot downgrade with odin (?), Is there any way out of 5.1.1?
My phone is currently rooted, with a different kernel and running deodexed XtreStoLite. How to go back to stock? I want to trade my phone in soon at T-Mobile and I know they'll notice the phone is rooted, since it says "kernel is not seandroid enforcing" when booting up. Everything works fine, though. I know in most people's case that text only shows for bootloop, but mine works fine.
My S5 is rebooting when I tap the back of it. I've checked the battery, swapped batteries, and tried multiple back covers. I first noticed the problem when it was laying face up in my truck and started rebooting only while driving. I figured it must of been the vibration, so I tapped the back of it with my hand and it restarted. Especially when I tap the camera lense. If I place it down on a hard surface face up it reboots too. This will be my fourth S5 in 7 months..
In the two days since I got my S6, twice the screen has started flashing back and forth from whatever page I am on to the notification page back and forth. none of the buttons will stop it. If I go to another app, it starts alternating with the notification screen. It is nearly impossible to power off because it is on the screen so briefly, it is hard to tap and have it register.
What is the best way to back up apps and settings so if I get a new Samsung phone I won't have to re-create my settings and download my apps again? I found Kies and backed up on my Mac. Is that reliable? Is there a way to do it in the cloud like Apple's iCloud? I just switched from t-mobile to Verizon and had to re-create my settings and download my non stock Google Apps again and that was time consuming. My S5 isn't rooted and I don't plan to root it.
