What is the folder albumthumbs? By which app is it created and how to make it stop? It keeps recreating the images inside. And some of them are .jpg so the also show up in the gallery app which is annoying.
How do I force my X10 mini to update the Albumthumbs folder? My individual music folders have cover art in them and when I play on my PC via Media Go or Windows Media Player the cover art is displayed. But it is not displayed on the phone when I use the phone media player. The album folders have folder.jpg images and additionally the album tracks have embedded cover art. The art shows in the photo album on the phone so there is no problem with the larger image. For some reason it has not created entries in the Albumthumbs folder and I assume that is why the art does not display when I'm playing the music via the phone. How do I force the albumthumbs to be created? What normally controls their creation?
Everything seems to be working fine in stock email except one thing. When I send or reply to an email, it disappears. I know it sends, but there is no record of it in any of the sent folders. In the inbox, it shows that an email was responded to, but it doesn't exist on my device. It is not view-able in sent folder from any other device like my computer on IMAP either.
The email makes it to its destination so it's not the end of the world. However, I do like to have a record of what I send from my S6.
One thing I don't like about Android is the file system management. Unlike iPhone and WP. After uninstall in the apps, sometimes a folder will be left behind. And as time goes by, it will become clutter with a lot of folder and I can't keep track of which I don't need anymore.
There was an option 'show content' in samsung galaxy S5 gallery setting where dropbox was in option.after check dropbox.there appear an folder in gallery..now in S6 where can i find this setting
So I emailed myself a pdf file to save and instead of having to refer to the email when i need it, i downloaded it, but don't seem to have a download icon available to get to that folder. Is there such a thing as a Documents or Download folder that I can create a shortcut to on my GS5 home screen?
I'm a new user to Samsung S2 and also new to this forum. Apologies in advance if this question is somewhere else, but I have spent the last hour/so looking and can't find an answer.... the questions is ...My email with ntl on my S2 is set up ok but I can't find how to tell it to keep the SENT emails. I know there's a setting somewhere where you have to tick the box, I read that on this forum, but I can't find that forum question again or I would have asked there.
The Samsung email app has not junk folder for outlook account so I can't see my emails gone to the junk folder. But in the webmail service or desktop I can see these mails.
I was wondering if one can manage photos on one's phone? In other words, I would like to move photos from one folder to another, or even create a new folder and move photos from one folder to another.
Updated my Blackberry software to v5.0 on my Tour 9630 and now I'm missing my AOL email folder. Now receiving my emails in my messages folder. Does anyone have a solution to getting my AOL email folder back and getting my emails sent there as well. I've tried a couple things with no luck!
I've got my messages, emails, etc. etc. moved out of the messages folder to their respective icons. The only thing I can't figure out and haven't yet found in the forums, is how to move the missed calls from my message folder.I don't want to use the messages folder for anything. I've tried hiding it but it still shows the missed calls. Is there a way to make a missed calls folder, or add them to the sms/mms folder like my voicemail notices are?
i was using my samsung galalxy s6 edge and all of a sudden the screen went off its came abck again in few minutes and the back and folder key is not working anymore
I just got a S6 Edge. In the app drawer there are four folders (Google, Verizon, Samsung, Tools and Amazon) with apps in them. I would like to delete one of those folders and put the apps individually into the app drawer. It won't let me do this. I can move apps from the app drawer to the home pages but not the other way around. Is there a way to do this?

I have a Samsung Galaxy S5/ Android 5.0/knox v 2.3
While adjusting my settings in Knox I switched to folder view, which has completely changed the knox environment. The main thing I now find is I can no longer toggle in and out of the knox container using the notifications area that you swipe down from the top of the screen, unless there is a specific notification, ie a new email.
The option within the Knox settings that I used to switch to folder view is no longer visible - the settings seem to have changed ( and more to the point, I can't remember the exact option) so I can't switch back.
Is there any easy fix to either add a toggle into the notifications area to enter/leave the knox container, or preferably to switch back from the folder view organisational structure to the standard environment that I assume is there by default?
Upgraded computer this weekend, and installed 8.1 cleanly from scratch (no upgrade). Now when connected to S5 (with 5.0 upgrade from TMobile) via USB, and I rename a folder either on the phone card or the external card, Windows Explorer locks up and stops responding. I can get it to close out by enabling/disabling USB debugging, but if I just click on Explorer, Windows says it is not responding. Force closing it at that point will shut down and restart the main desktop Explorer process.
I downloaded and installed the latest USB drivers from Samsung today, but problem still persists. This didn't happen with my previous Win7 setup. (I haven't changed the phone setup.)
As extra info, if I create a subdirectory on the phone via USB, even though I can't change the name without a lockup, I can delete the folder via USB without any problem.
This is not covered in the Voicemail support, and when I searched Google for the string in the Subject of this post I got 0 relevant hits (closest match was how to restore a deleted email from Trash on an S4).
1) Tap the Voicemail icon on your home screens 2) Tap the Arrowhead icon on the right-hand side of the Inbox title bar (see attached image) to drop-down the Voicemail Folder Menu 3) Select the Trash folder (see attached image) 4) Select the Voicemail message you desire to recover 5) Tap the 3-dot icon for the Trash folder context menu in the lower-right corner (see attached image) 6) Choose Restore to Inbox from the menu (see attached image)
I'm having a problem deleting all my trashed emails. Since I've gotten the S5 I've been getting rid of emails quickly. They also reside on my PC's Outlook so I decided not to have 875 emails cluttering up the S5. I use the combined view for my 2 non-Gmail accounts. All was working well until recently when there appeared to be 52 emails that remain even after I select all. 42 are from one account and the other 10 from the other account. I've tried deleting the trash from each account separately but the 52 keep reappearing when I "Show all folders" in the combined view (and the 42 from one and 10 from the other when I look at each account).
How can I delete this peskly "deck-of-cards" (52) emails? I guess the most drastic would be to delete the two accounts and start all over, but I'm curious to know how it might have happened in the first place.
Here's a picture of the situation. The only difference in the 3rd image is that after I delete, what shows as remaining in the trash is 52.
I got a brand new Samsung Galaxy S5 a week ago. Well I have that little problem with it that whenever I download a pic from for example Google or Hangouts I don't have the -Downloads- folder in my gallery. They do not show up anywhere except if I go to "My files - internal memory - downloads" but nowhere in the gallery. In the gallery I chose the option to show every pic which is saved to the device but they don't show up only camera photos, screenshots. Nothing else.
I am attempting to install a language to my SGS2 but before doing that must ascertain if my ROM is "deodexed" so need to locate a system file called framework. How do I find and access the system folder? navigated the phone via PC but wasn't able to find where the system directory is located.
sometimes i press a folder on my home screen and nothing happens...and only after 2 seconds it opens...it happens randomly.....and that only happens on the home screen.
Having issues with the S6 ringtone and message alerts? I copied a folder called media to my S6 when I first updated to 5.1.1 and I could select my ringtone and message alert tone from this folder, but yesterday it went back to default and now i can't select anything in the media folder, coincidentally my video folder i used to be able to see is now not showing in the video player but is there if i browse my files?? Is there a cache clear for the system ringtone notification app?
Wanted to create some folders in my App Drawer, I already have a couple, and it has stopped working. I go to App Drawer and tap Edit, but dragging an app over another does not give me a folder, it does nothing. Also, I cannot remove apps fom existing folders I created over the weekend. How to correct this?
why there is no way to create a shortcut to a folder or a file inside a folder in your memory card, it seems to me a very important function and yet no one complains but me.I have an office file which I use daily which is saved in E:My filesaccountshomeofficeworddaily.docIt would be great to add a shortcut to that file on the desktop. or at least to that folder.Or lets say I'm listening to an audiobook which is in: E:My filesAudioAudiobookspersonalBorn to runCD5chapter 4.mp3Every time I want to listen to this I have to dig deep in the file manager.
